"So...There's this girl..Well, there's really two girls I know, but.." he started, beginning to tell the tale of Ellie and Youmu. He felt a bit..lost without being able to chat with them, but he did nothing but sing the highest of praises about the former...and small teases about the latter. The intonation seemed to go over the Mannikin's head, but he nodded politely, continuing along with their conversation in a quiet, peaceful manner. Nekura MyonmuAs the boy paced around once more, he eventually halted just shy of bumping into a brown haired girl, holding up his hands.
"Woah..Easy there." he called to the girl, as she circled around him....and his companion."A Mannikin..Serving a human.." she called in an analytical tone....as if appraising him. "I suppose you have some strength..But..""Woah, Spoken for, sweetie." Nekura jested, as the girl scoffed. Nekura rolled his eyes, glancing around. "Though..where are YOUR demons? This isn't exactly a safe place..""Heh..I don't require any Demons." the girl called, with a condescending smirk. "After all...Demons just need to know who's in charge...They need to know who to respect. And, what do they respect?""Other demons?"Power." she called in a matter-of-fact tone, striding past him. "Between you, and some of the others....There is going to be a great struggle of power. I wonder...can you survive the onslaught?""Tch...Well, we'll see, won't we?" he called to the girl, even as she started off..feeling more than a bit fired up at her..audacity.
"I hope she gets eaten." he spat venomously, feeling his phone glowing with power..and his other demons fusing together once more. He was getting stronger still....
Maybe, he'd even get strong enough that the girl wouldn't look down on him for conversing with a rare, sentient, non-human but human-like demonic companion who was nice for a change. ...Yeah, somehow he doubted she'd change her mind. As he fused his demons, he also channeled some of the tokens he'd won into an auction..calling forth another ally to join him.

"Nyx, Huh?" he called, looking at the woman. She looked back at him with a stern gaze.....and then used her fan to bash an Obaryion that got too close. Nekura turned, and gave the woman a whistle of appreciation, bowing to her.
"Nice one, Miss Nyx." he called, before starting along..Not noticing the demoness following him with a slight bit of contempt. It seemed she wasn't fond of the title 'Miss'... "We...should probably get out of here." he called quickly, moving away before whatever it was that did that could realize that wasn't his real body. Good thing he had Futomimi, or that would have ended..much, MUCH worse... "Woah.." he called softly, walking closer to the man, as he looked back at him."Ah...the undying brunette." Dante's voice called, as he carefully slid a slice of his pizza into his mouth, chomping down on it perfectly...Expertly...To savor every last fiber of taste it had to offer...."Do I...know you..?" Nekura called, as the demon Hunter gestured with his hand, pointing at a brilliant sword on his back...And the pistols at his side."Maybe..Maybe not." he called, reaching for the pizza again. "Just be grateful that You're not on my list. Otherwise, things might get...Messy. Undying or no, everything has it's limits."Nekura started to go for his phone, but relented....Slumping a bit. If the man could be so..careless in his eating...And wield such extravagant weapons without pause....Or any fear of being ambushed...
'He's gotta be super-tough.' he thought, starting to head away."Say hi to Miss Ronin for me, when you see her." The demon Hunter's voice called, making Nekura flinch."R..Right.." he called, closing his eyes. He hadn't seen her in a while, but...
'I can get stronger...I'll make sure when I find her again...I won't need to be rescued again.'

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"A hammer dropped to the floor at his feet after a few moments passed; black blood spilled out onto the floor and another of the Red Viper's bounties was crossed off of the list in the Cathedral of Shadows, but he didn't really pay it any mind. His sword dripped with black-red liquid, and the body of the Ippon-Datara disintegrated into magatsuhi in an instant. A breath escaped him...and another...trying to steady himself after the intensity of the short fight and the emotions that were rushing through him. His eyes focused on the blood on the sword and for the briefest of moments, he just felt...satisfied, pleased...like he wanted to run his tongue along the length of the blade and bask in the death of these monsters that had ruined the world and the town and maybe even the people that he loved. And then his eyes widened, a breath escaping him as he stepped back almost away from his own blade.
"Did I...did I think that...?!" his hand raised and covered his right eye, his head suddenly hurting as he tried to gather his thoughts. Something...about this world, as it was, the loss of so many precious things to him all at once...seeing this world that was so full of life, people, things that he held inside of his heart abandoned, empty, wounded and dying, it made him feel so...broken. But he wouldn't say that aloud, he couldn't...he had to be strong, he had to protect...this town, its people, those who remained. His Big Sis, she needed him, and his Little... "...Oh God, Nanako..."
...Horror seeped into his every pore, and just when he felt like he couldn't take anymore...like he would scream...
That was when he felt the hand on his shoulder, the tension drained from his body in a matter of second...and a deep voice speaking to him, arm around his shoulder. And though he wanted to cry, he couldn't. It simply escaped him in this deep...deep sigh, the world and all of its weight leaving him for that instant...
"I am sorry, Soji Seta. This war...was not meant for you," the voice spoke regretfully, and when Soji looked over and saw the Red Viper, he simply lowered his head and tried not to speak...to think, only to let the platitudes the man offered register and mean something to him, "Your town, your home...it has been ravaged by a war, a squabble between two upstart Lords of Hell who have no care for the collateral damage they leave behind them. My home, as well, was lost...and my family, defiled...slaughtered. For yours, however, there remains hope." Soji looked up at him, and he couldn't help but smile wryly. Wasn't he the one usually saying things like that? And the devil prince seemed to understand, smirking as well and releasing his shoulder, stepping out towards the doorway. He couldn't stay long, but he had noticed the string of Bounties Soji claimed and felt the need to check upon him. In this case, it appeared to be the right choice.
"Whether you or I were meant for this war no longer matters. We stand among the very few who may bring it to a conclusion and spare those who remain the indignities and slaughter that await if it is not ended soon. Channel your frustration. But do not shy away from the hurt. Let it become your fuel. Let it become your center, to focus. As I have..."
Soji let out a breath and tried to take in what the Devil said...but to feel this way all the time, to use it as fuel...to live this pain all this time...could he really do that? Just how much hurt had the Red Viper lived with all of this time?! He was seeing the devil in a new light...one of pity, and fear...and empathy. What a driven, terrifying foe he must have been...
"...I'm sorry for what happened to your family. Obelyn..." he offered quietly before the Viper left, and with a glance over his shoulder, the prince solemnly nodded, but he did not smile. The memory of that loss would always rob him of that in the darker moments when he thought of it. And Soji was beginning to understand...
"Aye, my sister...my mother...they were beautiful. They did not deserve what became of them. As your town did not deserve this destruction. ...But I preserved you through the Conception to strike back against them for that reason. ...Take back your town, believe in that goal until you can no longer hold it dear to your heart. The future of your world is not written in stone, just yet. Reverse this tragedy with your own two hands, before it is too late. ...Before you find yourself a slave to vengeance, as I am."
...And with that, the Red Viper took his leave...Soji Seta, for his part, leaned back against the milk freezer in the grocery department, and considered his words carefully...deeply...
He'd make sure he knew what he was fighting for before he made a move again. For sanity's sake...and the sake of his friends still out there, fighting.Quote: 58 Tokens

"Just a bit more...I'm almost at the cap." he said to himself, starting to channel energy...and then stopping.
"No..I gotta be careful. Power won't do me any good if I get stabbed in the back.."
He had to be prepared for the worst, even as he hoped for the best.

Nekura Myonmu"So..that's the target?""Precisely..Nekura." the red serpent's voice called through the app, signalling at a foe for him. "Take them out, and the forces of Hel will be weakened. Can I rely on you?""Always." he called back, confidently to the being on the other end. He wasn't entirely sure what the Red serpent had planned...But, seeing as he provided them with a chance...Gave them hope..and let them live this long...
He was an ally, one way or another. Nekura held his phone high, the amalgamation of lion and snake appearing in a flash.
"Mithra! Give it no chance!" he called out confidently...Enough to gather the attention of their target. Before it could react though, a concussive blast of energy suddenly slammed into it, blasting it to Bits, and magnetite. Nekura wiped his brow at this, and leaned back...Thinking of his silver haired companion.

Onygo-ki SLAMMED his weapon into the being, leaving naught but a distant memory as Nekura looked at his phone, and the sky once more.

But this time, their target was his friend, Futomimi. The boy paused for a few moments, wondering if he should relent...Or, if he should do something..Risky, and stupid.
"Ongyo-ki!" he called, gesturing at the enemies, and kneeling down. "Launch me!"
There was no questioning..No second guesses. The time for action was now...And, as he felt himself slamming into the demons, he could feel some part of him breaking...
But, he'd be damned if he let his new mannikin friend down in this world. They had conversed so much, and even broken bread! ...Or, demon heads, but that was a potato-tomah-to situation. 'This one's all yours." he called, watching the Mannikin pause..and shake his head."This one is battered, and beaten. I see no reason to deliver the finishing blow.""Ah..? but..he organized that horde! He was going to kill you!""He was...but now he's not." the Mannikin called, patting the demon on the head. "He has seen the folly of his ways..and deserves a chance, does he not?""I...Ugh..Sure." Nekura groaned, turning to the demon. 'Skedaddle. And don't let me catch you attacking my friend again."
It was..kind of a let down to let things end peacefully, but it seemed Futomimi cared more about life than Nekura initially thought. Was it..some part of being a mannikin? Nekura MyonmuNekura closed his eyes as he thought of what Futomimi said, about how the enemy deserved a second chance. It..gave him pause. He'd been mindlessly fighting, and slaughtering the demons the whole time...but..
'What if..some of them would become good?' he thought, having a small crisis of identity, as he thought of the silver haired girl. "What if...They were just in a bad spot, like we were?"
Memories flashed back to that horrible island...The body he'd cut up..and the lengths they had gone to. Youmu was a sweet girl, but in the time of need..when everyone's life was at stake...She was the first to act. Even if it was for the wrong reason, she.....
'I miss her..' he thought quietly, pushing himself to his feet. 'Next time i see her, I'm gonna hug the s**t out of her.'

Nekura MyonmuNekura paced around the area once more, lost in thought..as he heard a chattering of people clamoring. He circled the corner...and saw a group of rioters, harshly beating down on some demons. Pixies, Kobolds, and kodamas...
"H.Hey.." he called, watching as they were beating the poor, helpless demons."We're just trying to get some food...! Please..stop! a pixie called, as the man approached it with a large baseball bat."You demons are only out to get us all...I can prove it!" the man called, raising it overhead...And feeling the bat held in place. "Oi. Pick on someone your own size." Nekura called, prompting the man...and all of the other rioters to circle around him.'Are you stupid? Demons are all evil!"
"The only good ones, are the ones in Service to us, or dead!"
"Are you a demon too? Do you want to die, Punk?"'Oi oi..you're all so grating." Nekura called, before holding his phone up. "Mot...."
The demon let out a menacing aura...shimmering throughout the area, and striking terror into the hearts of the rioters. A single one seemed to remain, bashing his bat against the boy's skull....And flinching as he glared back.
"Mot....End him." he snapped, the hand starting to conjure a swell of energy...flowing throughout the area. Yet, as it released..the man was..unharmed. No..a single hair on his head was burned off...and the boy started off, in a huff.
"You should look in a mirror if you think Demons are the only monsters around here." he snapped, the demons circling around in thanks, and one pledging himself to him. Nekura didn't even have a word in edgewise, the low level demon joining him on the spot. It was...strange, but...
'I think....I can keep my mind clearer now..' He held his phone up high...and from the heavens, descended a positively disgusting bug summon...That held up a skeletal staff."I am Beelzebub! Lord of the Flies!" the demon called, waving it's staff. A Swarm of insects flooded around the Hound of Culian...and in a flash, he had vanished. Nekura paused, blinking quietly at the ordeal..before dispelling him, and putting away his phone.
