This time around Misa would be sure to take her time around the area. She only rushed into battle the Gym Leader and then zipped out when she won. Oh the thought of winning was a thrilling thought! The girl could still recall her battle with Misty, each and every move that was used to get her a sliding victory. Pikachu and Ivysaur, as it was back then, were her main firepower. Pikachu was able to take down Misty’s Staryu while Ivysaur took care of Starmie with a combination of Sleep Powder and its Razor Leaf Attack. She would surely rely on Pikachu in the future when the future called upon it. Though, there might not be a time that she would call Pikachu since she needed Pokemon that would work well against the upcoming Gym Leaders.

Well, it was about time for a Pokemon to show up. There were plenty of Pokemon all over this city that she hadn’t seen in the other areas she visited. Misa could still see a few Pokemon in the area that poured in from Mt. Moon. There were Sandshrews and Geodudes around the area. They definitely seemed stronger to her as she walked around the city some more. These Wild Pokemon didn’t seem to be as aggressive and raw as the ones in Pewter City.

The first Pokemon to say ‘hello’ to the girl was a Wild Sandshrew at a Lv. 16. It was much stronger than the Sandshrews she met in Mt. Moon but that wasn’t enough to deter her. Misa actually looked forward to battling a Pokemon she was accustomed. Though, Sandslash and Graveler wouldn’t be able to one-shot this Pokemon. It was better to have Venusaur out on the field than to have any other Pokemon. There might be a way for Sandslash and Graveler to fend off this battle but they would sustain quite a bit of damage. Throwing anyone out was out of the question. Nidoran, Zubat and Charmander were absolutely out of the question. There was no way she would even risk the chance for them to fight an opponent that was way out of their league.

Grayson squinted as they were greeted by the morning sun, its rays much brighter out in the open than they'd been back in the mountain; it took him several seconds for his eyes to adjust back. Once he'd done that he turned back around to make sure both Charon and Styx were behind him, then nodded when he found that they both were. He turned back around and started making his way down the hill towards the city, its many buildings already within sight. Emmet followed after him, careful not to loose his balance as they traversed the steep hill.

Grayson rose an eyebrow while Emmet simply shook his head, both continuing on after a moment; neither were quite interested in engaging with... this individual. "H-hey, stop!" The man nearly fell over himself as he ran to catch up with them, sliding in front of them and striking a pose. "I challenge one of you! To a battle!" he announced, an irritatingly confident grin on his face. "I've returned from my travels from the famous Alola region, and now I seek a trainer worthy of testing my newest pokemon's might!" From beside him Emmet gave a sigh, the hand he used to push his glasses up hiding his irritation. Grayson turned to look at the man before, with a shrug, he stepped back and allowed Charon to approach the man-- somehow he'd known the teen would make him face off against this weirdo. "Excellent! Let us make this a glorious battle!"

Grayson's mind was still on the battle-- or at least the two last pokemon the man had used-- and it took Emmet clearing his throat for him to snap back into reality, only then taking in the complete look of shock on his ex-opponent's face; he'd lost that badly, huh? "Yeah... thanks for that." Offering a half-heartedly wave Grayson stuffed his hands into his hoodie pocket before he started walking forward, nudging Charon as he walked past him. The Litwick glared up sharply but after a moment followed after, tossing a curious look at the weird human as they passed. He... he still hadn't moved. Was he frozen?

Continuing their way down to the city Grayson turned to look at Emmet after a moment, his mind elsewhere. "You ever heard of that place that guy mentioned?" he questioned, waiting until Emmet had turned around to meet his gaze before elaborated. "Alola, I mean." The older gentleman nodded after a moment, "yes, I have. It's a region made up of four different islands, it's actually relatively close to Kanto," he informed Grayson. "I'm assuming the Marowak piqued your interest?" His assumption was... spot on, leaving Grayson mildly surprised before he nodded after a moment. "I've noticed that you favor ghost, and considering its typing it was only logical," he explained.
Grayson looked at Emmet a moment, his expression never shifting from its usual indifference, before he eventually nodded and slid his gaze around. "Go on and see if there's anyone around here looking for battle," he instructed Styx and Charon, surprising both by the impromptu task. Both recovered relatively quickly, however, Charon immediately taking excitedly to the permission and zipping off to locate the nearest trainer, able to track them easily by honing in on their energy, with Styx following close around. "It was certainly an interesting pokemon," Grayson admitted, returning to his conversation with Emmet. "You know how they get their types to change?"
Checking over his bag Emmet took his time in answering, "no, I'm afraid not. Perhaps a visit to the region itself would answer your question." Grayson tipped his head to the side, side bang slipping across his face, in thought before he eventually shrugged. "Perhaps I'll head up there one day." It sounded like a drag, especially considering he'd most likely have to take a boat there, but... the idea of a new ghost type did intrigue him, slightly.

Charon dusted himself off as he began to waddle away from the defeated stranger, Styx right behind him. Though he was still being tailed by the... fish he felt much better, about himself and just in general; he was getting stronger and hadn't taken any damage since their time back in the mountains. He'd yet to be treated for said injuries, but it wasn't as if they inconvenienced him in the slightest, so as far as he was concerned he didn't need Grayson or any of his potions. Nope, not at all. What he did need, however, was a new arrival to take on, and not five feet away Charon found just that. He grinned, flame flickering with glee, before he shot a well-aimed fire blast at the Bellsprout, burning over half its body and sending it to the ground.

Pokemon that were more suited to this area’s Pokemon would probably fall under the Pokemon who were able to take on this city’s Gym Leader. Though, as much as she would love to formulate a plan to counteract these Pokemon, another Wild Pokemon arrived. This time it was a Lv. 15 Mankey who seemed a bit riled up.
