Her boots clicked into the darker and familiar place. On the bright side, she didn't need to work for that long - and she could head home straight afterward. Her cardigan hung over her forearm, hanging along her thigh as she crossed over to the counter and slipped in. The door fell back down with a clack, locking in place. Her blond waves and curls shimmered against the overhanging lights of the store, and as she turned on her heel, she could watch the news reflecting on the giant screen on the other side of the wall. Hum. It didn't look like Nathan was here - or had been here for that matter. No matter. She'd work the back of the counter until her shift was over; and with such a nice day as this, it would probably be a longer one. She exhaled slowly, feeling her fingertips over the front screen of the computer to clock in. After inputting her specific number of employment, the machine next to it stick a ticket out - digital numbers printed back over to repeat what had been on the "clock in" screen.
Even after retreating from the house - of which she left unlocked after all - she couldn't help but linger over the thoughts of the last few days. It had all felt like a dream... Only brought back to reality when the realization of work had come over her today. Sort of like a vacation... A vacation she wasn't really sure she had deserved - but certainly needed when it came down to it. Halloween night had been terrifying. Blood splattering, bones crunching, the smell of brimstone hinting along her nostrils even now as she sniffed. A shudder pushed itself back down her body, jaw clenching uncomfortably tight as she was forced to squeeze her eyes shut. A nightmare that wouldn't be disappearing any time soon... She only hoped a customer would come in soon to relieve her of it. ⋞ Looked around, you're not there, and all my keys are gone.xxxx

The girly looking male red head blinked a few times as he walked along the area a smile plastered on his face as lately everything had been going his way he had not been feeling sick nor had he been getting stumped on his clothing designed and no one had recognized as a male him as of a late and nor had any pitiful men tried to hit on him making it very awkward for Florence and to top it off he hadn't been having much problems with his split personality who seemed to be respecting his wishes or at least for now she had, to sum it up he was happy for the first time in awhile which greatly pleased him bringing on a feeling he had not felt in ages which was pure joy.
He would stop walking when he found himself outside of the place he had gone for food before a while ago though he knew that many people got hooked on these kinds of outfits he felt he could perhaps try going in though he felt he should try and convince himself to enter again. "Ah! For the first time in awhile I feel like treating myself though I am not the kind to usually go to these kind of food joints but I guess exceptions should be made from time to time and besides it wasn't terrible the last time I came here." Making up his mind the red head entered through the doors and would glance around not seeing any customers other then himself inside which would be to bad he supposed since he would not have to wait to order though that was something he had not decided yet and so the feminine male would glance at the menu pondering about he should order.

"All I want is a place to call my own... After Nathan had led Alesana into the cafe, she quickly took a seat at the farthest table away from people. She then looked around, familiarizing herself with the place. The brown haired girl wasn't a big fan of coffee, mostly soda for her all-nighters but from time to time she didn't mind the drink. However, the Moonbucks Cafe was far more appealing than any other cafe she's ever been to. Turning her attention back to Nathan, she waited for him to take a seat as well. "...So this is where you work?" In her mind, she was cursing at herself for even asking that question. He had said it earlier at the fast food restaurant that he would show her where he worked. Alesana felt very stupid for even asking that question, but it was the only thing that came to mind.

⌘ Nathan Pearce ⌘ ❅ Cashier at Moonbuck's Cafe ❅ ✯ "They say a new setting can help you move on with your life. I hope that's really true." ✯ °❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅°❅° Nathan stopped and looked around as he entered the cafe. The smell he became familiar with while working here had already entered his nose, and while he enjoyed coffee here and there it wasn't something he liked to drink often. His eyes spotted his co-worker Sarah working along with a customer that looked to be pondering about what to order. A small sense of relief washed over him seeing his co-worker back at work, and appearing to be doing ok. The young man gave a small wave and friendly smile towards her direction, although didn't walk over to disturb her from working. He figured there would be talk tomorrow if she went to work. The red eyed teen looked back at the brunette that he lead to the place, and saw that she took a seat. Nathan took a seat across from the brown eyed young woman, and lightly smiled as he nodded in acknowledgement to her question not minding the question being asked. "Yep, I've worked her for awhile now. It's pretty calm and not too hard to work here. I tend to do the morning shift for the most part. I restock everything, clean the tables, and all those other preparatory things needed before opening up. After all that is done, I just work the cash register, and tend to customers." The red eyed teen explained in a happy tone. It may not have seemed like much, but he did enjoy working here. It was nice to have a more laid back job for the most part. "Oh, and that is my co-worker over there, Sarah Fitz. I usually work with her unless one of us doesn't come to work for one reason or another." Nathan explained as he crossed his arms on the table, and leaned forward a bit. "What about you? Do you have any idea on where you want to work in Soleil?" The light brown haired boy curiously questioned.

xxxxWhere have you gone to while I was a slumbering?⋟ Sarah glanced up from the screen where she stood, blinking slowly at the familiar face on the other side of the glass. The one person she couldn't decide had been a male or female - finally deciding on female those... How long had it been? She blinked her grey orbs, her mouth thinning out in a small line before pulling down in a slight frown. Had it really been that long since then? Or maybe they had come in before - she just never paid much attention. What she did remember was something about the girl looking absolutely adoring over a piece of cake on the stand. The small bell elicited a jingling of metal, telling the blond that someone had actually entered the shop before two more followed short after. She blinked again, speaking quietly to the red head though her eyes remained on the familiar person behind him. "Hello. Can I help you?" She pursed her lips into a small smile, eyes glittering thoughtfully. Perhaps he had a day off and she really had come on a day that didn't have him working. Well. She was okay with that. Besides, it was better for him to rest his arm - something that had been lingering on the back of her mind since that night of terror.
She cringed slightly, shaking it off and throwing her gaze completely to the customer. It wasn't as if she could do anything about it now. Ignoring the customer in front of her for a familiar person would be rude - and so, she waited patiently, leaning against the computer as a slight support. Her heel below took off from the ground as she bent her knee in, putting pressure on the toes of her right foot. For what she could, she simply returned the wave and smiled back, happy to see him up and well; though it remained unbeknownst to her that the female with him was his acquaintance at the time - and so she hardly acknowledged her by pure accident. ⋞ Looked around, you're not there, and all my keys are gone.xxxx

Florence blinked a few times having been looking at the menu for a few minutes only looking away from the menu firstly when he noticed two other people enter the cafe and secondly when he heard a voice directed towards him which made him turn his attention to the female working the cashier whom Florence would not recognize from the previous time he stopped at the cafe though that wasn't a hard thing to understand as the male rarely stopped at cafes but it was also unlikely for him to remember a single cashier, though being the somewhat perceptive person he was he felt the perhaps something was bothering her though he was not about to straight out ask her if something was wrong as that was not the kind of person he was nor did he really want to concern himself with some strangers problems even if that seemed unkind but hey that was everyday life especially for the cross dressing male.
Turning his attention to Sarah Florence would make his way over to her smiling and trying to act cute since he wanted to try acting to see if he still retained any talent in the skill and it was his own attempt at trying to distract the cashier from her thoughts if she really was bothered by something. "Yeppers! I'd love some help if you could provide it!" The feminine male proceeded answer in a cutesy tone to try and compliment his acting. He had decided he would order a slice of cake since he absolutely adored it and loved how it tasted it the last time he ate it and the mere thought of eating it would cause the male to blush like the first time, he had not yet though of what he would drink though one thing was for sure it would not be a coffee of any kind.

She eased it off from around her yellow waves and slight curls, letting it rest in the palm of her hand before tucking it into the cool metal space in front of her legs. The woman could take as long as she needed, it was only Sarah's best outlook to stand here and be patient as she could be. She glanced back up at the female once she began talking, her own grey eyes lighting up in the process. "Well of course." She nodded slowly. Now to test if she had waded the waters correctly - if the person wanted the same thing as last time... Then she'd choose a piece of cake setting on the front row. For now she'd keep her thoughts to herself, letting them swirl her mind as to what piece of cake she might choose. A small smile placed itself on her lips, pink glittering beneath the light. The male whom was currently distracted by his thoughts of cake would stop his blushing and look at her grin with enthusiasm getting perhaps a bit to caught up with his love of sweets. "Erm could I have a cake slice please for starters annnnnnd as to what I shall have to drink let me think." moving his right hand and placing his index finger on the of his chin which he would tap a few times as he tried to think of what he would drink as he had thought before anything like a coffee or anything like that would be impossible for him to do as just imagining the taste made him shudder slightly, at this rate he wouldn't be pick out anything fro himself to drink so perhaps that would be a good alternate option for him to do. "Um do you think you could recommend something to me at all to drink? I don't like the majority of things with caffeine in them but despite that I just can't choose anything and you look like someone of good taste." Florence asked with a beaming smile the cutesy act was beaming a bit painful to put up for him since he felt he was acting just like his counter part aside from walking up to random strangers and hugging them when they showed to little bit of kindness to them.

She wouldn't mind working here just to clean a bit, but customer service was not her best skill. At Nathan's following question, her eyes widened and she sat back in her chair to think about a valid answer for him. "Uh...well....I haven't really given it much thought...as you can tell, I'm not great with...people...so food service is out the door for me..." She said quietly as she looked down at her hands nervously.

He rested his cheek on the palm of his hand, and leaned on it while the other tapped the desk lightly with his fingers. He didn't know all of the girl's strengths or weaknesses, so it was a bit difficult for him to give decent suggestions. The young man hummed in thought for a few seconds before a few thoughts came to mind. "Well.....based off of what I know about you, which isn't much at the moment, I do have a couple of suggestions. You said that food service is out the window, so that's a good portion of what I know is available in a more major scale than other things....." Nathan started as rested both his hands on the table attempting to come up with other suggestions, but couldn't think of any past what he already thought of. "I do know that there is a place you could work at called Bookworm's. I figured since you have such a passion for reading you could potentially work there. I doubt you're timidness would really interfere if you're working somewhere you love after all, or at least not as much as it usually would. The only other thing I could think of is possibly working for the hospital. I'm not sure where your thoughts lie on being a receptionist or even a nurse. You seem to have a soft spot for helping people, since you kind of scolded me because of my injury at the library, plus you do have that healing power of yours regardless of you trying to say." The red eyed teen finished with a light shrug. Those were the only two things that had really popped into his mind because it seemed to have fit her from what he knew of her more than anything. He figured he'd at least thrown in his suggestions of something that she could potentially seem interested in. Jobs were probably one of the harder things to find when in a new place in his opinion. "Anyways, you at least know where I work now so you shouldn't get lost tomorrow. Is there anywhere else you wanna go or need to see?" Her fingers glided over the screen to the button, tapping her nail gently along as the button itself lit up blue in a separate box provided. Her foot tipped backwards onto the heel, leaning back and away from the computer and counter while the redhead in front of her pondered over her next decision. The compliment itself hardly went unnoticed. A bit happily taken aback, she gripped the sides of the screen and turned herself to look up at the menu above her. "Well I suppose that depends..." She began, turning on her heel and crossing over her leg while her heel clicked on the floor. Slowly she slid her arms off of the device, pulling them across her chest and tapping her finger along the bottom of her lip. Her grey eyes glittered over her shoulder back to Florence. Brushing the side his hair behind his left ear was the only thing Florence could muster as a new problem presented itself in front of him, what kind would he have? This was something he failed to think about as previously he had not been concerned with what type he wanted since he got so caught up day dreaming of sweets that he had failed to realize they sold more then. Not knowing quite what we should order he would turn his attention to Sarah again figuring he would just ask her for her opinion again since he knew if he was given the option that he would be here for the rest of the day just trying to decide. "Errr I don't know could I ask that you select your personal favorite for me? I think I'd like to try something random if you don't mind since I like surprises." Florence replied deciding to go with his initial plan of asking her to choose for him rather then waste both of their times, he hoped he wasn't adding any extra work for her as it would make him feel guilty.

"All I want is a place to call my own... Alesana tilted her head to the side as she listened to Nathan's suggestions. They both peaked her interest, all that mattered now was which job she should pick. Working at a bookstore would definitely be a plus since she would be in her comfort zone, but then again, she could put her power to good use. Besides, nurses do get paid more. Of course, Alesana wasn't greedy, she just wanted a successful life, so being a nurse seemed the better option. "I'm kind of leaning towards being a nurse...I'll think more about it tonight." She spoke in a soft tone as she continued to familiarize herself with the cafe. Her eyes met with Nathan's again when he asked his final question. "Hmm...I don't think so. I didn't really pay attention to my surroundings when we walked here...."

It made sense to not automatically choose, and think about which job one should choose. He had to admit though, that Alesana seemed she'd do well as a nurse if that is what she chose to do for a job. The young man snapped out of his thoughts, and blinked a couple of times after hearing the brunette's final response. It seemed being deprived of sleep was finally getting to him more now. He didn't notice that he seemed to be spacing out a bit more often as time went on. Nathan lightly stretched as he stood up, while letting out a slight yawn. The red eyed teen shook his head a bit, before looking back at the young woman. "Alright, well I guess I better head back home, and try to get some sleep. I'm sure you probably want to get to finishing unpacking your things at the very least. I bet you can't wait to get to that." Nathan lightly joked with a small smile, before snapping his fingers, before walking over to behind the counter to get a pen and some paper. He gave a light smile to Sarah and her customer, before heading back towards Alesana. "Oh, if you happen to get lost or something on the way over here tomorrow just let me know. This is my number. Just send a text or something, and I'll respond as soon as possible." The boy commented as he slid the piece of paper over to Alesana. "Do you know how to get back to your house from here? You had said that you weren't really paying attention to your surroundings on the way over here, so I just wanted to make sure if you don't I'd give you directions on how to get back to your home." The red eyed boy questioned with a slight raise of his eyebrow.

At least now she could get rolling a little bit and give her confident answers without feeling the need to keep them in secret. "Well... If I were you, I think I would get the strawberry shortcake. The one that sort of matches your outfit, actually." Admittedly, it was a nonsense 'just talking' thought, but she might as well say it now. She directed her finger to the glass case, strolling behind it and sliding the door open. If he didn't like it, she could put it back, but at least he could have a closer look. She pulled it from the case on the white glass plate and settled it with a small clink on the counter. The strawberries moved just slightly before bouncing back into place on top of the white cream and cake. "And then either a hot tea or lemonade. Though a lemonade might be best given the weather outside." She blinked slowly, looking back up to the woman and pressing a finger to her lips in thought. To the side, Nathan came in to view for a fraction of a second, the rest of the fingers on her hand waving in a kind side wave whilst the corners of her lips tugged up into a smile before she turned her attention back to the customer. ⋞ Looked around, you're not there, and all my keys are gone.xxxx
