Esther was still beyond upset at Mag--or, really, C.T., and Mag by association--but she was grateful she didn't have to fight to look for her girlfriend. Before meeting Mag at the garage, Esther managed to convince one of the warehouse's other residents to lend her a gun. Just in case. And it proved to come in handy, except not for the reasons Esther had anticipated.

Upon arriving to her house, the sight of which made her nauseous the closer they got, Esther was alarmed, but not altogether surprised, to find that it was swarmed by cops. C.T. was here, and, worse, she had been found. Esther's whole body began to shake, her mind assuming the worst. The "threat"--as in her girlfriend--had to still be at large, because none of the cops looked idle. So that was... good? Better. Better than the alternative, by far. But C.T. could still be hurt or on the verge of capture or anything, really. Spotting the light on in her father's study, Esther decided he and C.T. (and soon the police who had just rushed in) were likely in there.

As they approached the house, Esther turned to Mag. "Listen to me," she said hurriedly, her voice shaking a little, but still demanding the other woman's attention. She reached into the waistband of her shorts and pulled out the gun, then handed it to Mag. "You're my captor, got it? When we get out of this car, you're going to hold this gun to my head and treat me like the hostage everyone's supposed to think I am. Demand that we be taken to see my father, then negotiate to trade me for C.T. Do you understand? And once you have her, you both leave." She was planning under the assumption that C.T. was alive, because as much as her head wanted to distract her with pessimistic thoughts, Esther absolutely refused to believe they had already lost. She refused to believe she was already existing in a world without the love of her life. Although she couldn't say it aloud, Esther thought briefy that even if C.T. was... in worse shape than she was willing to accept... Esther wouldn't dare let her father or anyone allied with him touch C.T.'s body. They didn't have the right.

Esther sat back in the seat, ignoring any protests Mag might make. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. She didn't want to leave C.T. or Mag, but C.T. had made it impossible to turn this deal in their favor. By going in without warning, without reinforcements, without a solid plan, she had limited their options significantly. It looked like Esther was actually going to have to return to her father after all, and as much as that idea made her sick, she knew for a fact she would rather spend eternity at her father's side miserable than let C.T. die at his--or anyone's--hands.

Mag had many reservations about leaving the car, one being the very real possibility that once she exited that she would be shot dead on the spot, but she couldn't exactly just sit and wait for something to happen, the police had already taken notice to the vehicle and it was only a matter of time before they came to investigate, so it was with a heavy sigh that Mag, took the gun from Esther and pressed it to her head, making sure the safety was on because lord forbid any mistakes were made, C.T would rip her to shreds. "Out" She ordered, getting into character as she grabbed her laptop with her free hand, and exited the car, forcing Esther in front of her before she moved towards the building. The cops spotted Esther and moved forwards, only halting when they saw that Mag was armed and had her weapon pointed directly at Esther.

And now... the guns were coming out, Mag fidgeted not liking that so many weapons were trained on her, she stepped behind Esther a bit before speaking out in a steady tone. "Let me through, I need to speak with Bradley, I want to make a trade." The cops clearly didn't know how to handle this request as they looked around at one another searching for guidance, clearly there was a Sergent on scene and the FBI had yet to show. Mag would use their inexperience against them. Without waiting she pushed Esther forward keeping the gun securely pressed against her skull as she moved forward, the cops cleared space afraid to be the cause of the girls execution and so Mag mad it into the house unharmed. "Where is Bradley?" She demanded of the guards in the foyer, and reluctantly they pointed up stairs. So far so good, Mag approached the door they had pointed out.
_____________________________________________________________

Bradley was being difficult, as expected, but still it was pissing C.T off, the b*****d thought her to be stupid it seemed. He didn't have a list made, and hadn't planned on bringing one for her tomorrow, but just because he didn't have one prepared didn't mean he couldn't produce one. His computer was still up and running after all. Gesturing towards his computer with the gun she had taken from him C.T spoke. "Make one." She demanded, and Jacob looked hesitant, that single second of pause in search of an excuse caused C.T to raise the gun and struck him with it on the top of his head, not hard to create permanent damage. She began to give the order again but there was a knock on the door that brought her pause.

"C.T, I've brought the girl." A muffled voice spoke, C.T's eyes went wide, she recognized the voice as Mag's and had to quickly work to hide her reaction, because she didn't give herself away to Jacob, but on the inside, C.T was furious with Mag for bringing Esther here. "Come in." C.T spoke removing her blood from the door for just a moment, allowing Mag and Esther to shuffle in before sealing it once again. She took a moment to give Mag a stare that roughly translated into 'What the ******** are you doing here?' and Mag returned it with 'I had no choice.' C.T gritted her teeth and shook her head letting Mag know that they would discuss this later.
"Get on his computer, and find some info." C.T ordered Mag, who hesitated. "Actually we are here to negotiate and exchange...." C.T gaze almost melted Mag. "An exchange... for who." C.T demanded, she still hadn't looked at Esther, refusing to make eye contact with the girl. "You, for her." Mag spoke quickly.

C.T paused, for a moment, straightening up as her eyes finally left Mag and landed on Esther. She was conscious of the anger there in Esther's eyes as well as the worry, and wished she had did more to cover the bullet wound in her gut, she was glad that her back was to Jacob because there was a myriad of emotions that spread across C.T's face, there was so much she wanted to say but couldn't, and now she was having a hard time keeping strong, but Jacob helped her out, by laughing crudely, and that was all she needed to harden her gaze and shake her head at Esther. "I'm not going anywhere," C.T spoke venomously "And neither is she." C.T finished turned back to Jacob, who had since stopped laughing as she walked upon him and pressed her finger deeply into the wound she had created in his shoulder. "Laugh now, b*****d."

There was so much blood, Esther was sure she could smell it the moment the door opened. When they were let in and Esther realized that, as she had feared, the blood was C.T.'s, both the concern and anger in her small frame spiked to worrisome heights. And she knew that C.T. could see it. It took a while for C.T. to look at her, but when it finally happened, the glance they exchanged was obviously laden with words both of them wanted to say yet couldn't given the situation. It was taking all of Esther's willpower not to rush to C.T.'s side and hold her--or stomp to her and smack her upside the head.

We were supposed to be partners in this, Esther thought, her gaze verging on cold through the terror. She felt like C.T. had betrayed her. And she was upset with her father, too--no, <******** furious--for shooting C.T. Ugh, such a rush of emotions. Needless to say, when she allowed her anger to subside (for now), it wasn't difficult to pretend she was the unwilling hostage; with the sight of her girlfriend essentially bleeding out in front of her to fuel her, she easily played off her panic over C.T.'s condition as worry about her own situation.

Although Esther was upset with her father and was in agreement that he deserved the pain C.T. was inflicting upon him, she still looked away, her breath catching. She wasn't used to this. She had never seen so much blood before...

Mag, meanwhile, realizing C.T. wasn't leaving without the list, went to the computer and hurriedly searched for information. Even though there was a door separating everyone in the room from the cops in the hallways, Mag felt almost like they were still breathing down her neck, and it put her nerves on edge. Esther remained near the door, standing still, finally watching C.T. again. Her body was trembling, both for real and for show. After a some time of searching, Mag, frowning, said, "Boss, I'm finding some stuff, but not a lot. I'm not sure it's all on here." Maybe this would be enough to incriminate him?

C.T turned to Mag, who was all but pleading for them to get out of there with her eyes. She knew that Mag hated being there, just as much as she did, and maybe even Esther, but C.T couldn't leave empty handed, not with the damage she had caused, walking out of here now, they would probably be shot at, even with Esther. They needed to prove something now, or else things would get rockier later. "Keep looking." C.T ordered, she looked down at her gut again, checking her wound, the fragments were still in her and they didn't look like they would be getting pushed out without help. s**t.

"I've found more files, but there locked."

There was hope, C.T turned to Bradley "What's the pass?" She demanded and Jacob looked like he was fixing to refuse to answer so C.T pushed her finger into his wound again, causing him to yell out in pain, a bit too loudly, she knew his cries would make the cops outside anxious. "Shut up and give me the pass" C.T hissed.

"Connie."

C.T grit her teeth, "Don't ******** with me." C.T was going to move to open a larger wound in Jacob's other shoulder but stopped when Mag spoke up behind her. "It worked, that was the pass."

C.T stopped and glared at Jacob, stepping back. "You're sick" C.T spat disgusted, as she turned from him to see what was on the computer, she looked at the folder Mag opened, and found that it was her file, from the day she was born, until the day she disappeared, pictures of her family before she was taken, and pictures of the abuse she had been put through all documented, the most sickening thing of all, was the unsigned adoption form left in the file.

(Let me know if this was an awkward place to end, if it helps, what C.T see's will stun her, before leading her into outrage.)

Her father's choice of password disgusted Esther, but that certainly wasn't the worst of it. When Mag opened that file and revealed those photos--photos of C.T. as a baby, as a toddler, as a kid, some with her family, all normal and even happy in appearance, and then photos of the torture C.T. endured... Esther's eyes couldn't leave the latter. Her body reacted just as strongly as her brain, and, physically ill, Esther stumbled over to the trash can in the corner and threw up into it. When C.T. had opened up to her, she had imagined what the abuse was like, and it had shaken her. But this was different. Now she could see it; there was nothing left to imagine. Her hatred for her father had never been so strong, so vivid, she was practically seething with anger. When she turned, it seemed something else had caught C.T.'s attention: unsigned adoption forms.

So C.T.'s family hadn't given her up. She had been taken from them. Eyes widening with the realization, Esther glanced at her girlfriend. C.T. looked stunned, unmoving. This news was obviously and understandably hitting her very hard. In that moment, Esther completely forgot about the act--supporting C.T., being there for her, was all far more important, anyway--and reached out to C.T., almost touching her arm, but not quite. C.T. might need space, and Esther wasn't about to impede on that. "C-C.T.," she managed to say softly, although didn't know what to say after that. She wanted to pull C.T. into an embrace, hold her tightly, never let go, heal all of her wounds, but she resisted.

Her father, who was closing his eyes initially in preparation for the inevitable, didn't seem to notice the break in character. "Well, you wanted to dig things up, didn't you?" he said loudly, gruffly, his voice a little strained from the pain he was experiencing. "Congratulations. Are you proud of yourself? Are you happy with what you've found? You've gone messing with things that shouldn't be messed with."

C.T wanted very badly to comfort Esther, to go to her girlfriend as the girl began to puke up the contents of her stomach, she wasted to take the girls hand when she had reached out to her, but above all, she wanted to be comforted. She needed something, because write now she felt like she was breaking. She almost did it, she almost dropped the entire mask she had been been keeping up and buried herself into Esther's arms, but Jacob Bradley just had to open his ******** mouth.

C.T reeled on him. "Things I shouldn't be messing with?" C.T yelled, she grabbed Jacob by the collar lifting him up, ignoring her open wound screaming in protest as she slammed him against the wall. "This is my life! All of that stuff in that file happened to me! Because of you!" C.T had eyes had began to water upon seeing her file, pictures of herself with the family she couldn't remember breaking her heart. "But you had to destroy all of that!" C.T wailed. "And for what? Why?" She demanded, ignoring the tears that now stained her cheeks. Jacob didn't look like he had an answer that he wanted to give and that only mad C.T angrier as she dropped him to the floor, turning to Mag as she wiped at her eyes. "Download the file, we have what we need to destroy him."

"What about the list?" Mag asked, her voice was filled with sympathy laced in her voice. "******** the list, I just want him." C.T whispered, closing her eyes, and collecting herself briefly before looking at the screen as Mag moved the mouse around a few clicks later and the files were moving over to her external hard drive. While Mag worked C.T starred at the pictures in the file, watching the faces of her mother and her father trying to see if she could feel anything, but all she felt was another wave nausea. She remembered what Esther said, about her father having her girlfriend sent away and killed. He could have easily did that to C.T's parents.

"Where are they?" C.T asked, her voice hollow, words so vague that even Mag turned to her with a questioning gaze. "What?" Jacob asked, coughing now as if he were truly hurt, he had no idea how much worse this could get for them. "My parents," C.T started not turning away from the screen. "Where are they?" Jacob went quiet, his eyes touching the still open file. "I asked you a question." C.T's patience was running thin as she stepped closer to Bradley who still had answered her. "Where are they!"

(Sorry to throw another hard choice into your lap, but you get to choose, C,T's parents. Alive. Or dead.)

Jacob wasn't laughing anymore. His face was set in a hard expression, his lips stretched into a thin, tight line and his eyes watching C.T. coldly. He was visibly in pain and frustrated that he had found himself in this situation. And, maybe, even a little annoyed. But C.T. let her emotions get to her more easily than she tried to let on, and he could use that. "Alive," Jacob replied. He knew that was what she really wanted to hear. "Or, at least, they should be. If they aren't, it isn't because of us." He wasn't lying, although he very well could have been, just to toy with her. It was, after all, very possible that they were dead, anyway. Where Jacob Bradley had met them, it hadn't been the safest neighborhood, and who knew what had happened when the laws he had set into place took effect. "When we found you, you were living with your family in a ghetto of Russian immigrants a few hours' drive from here," he said. Then a smug sliver of a smirk tugged at his otherwise pained lips and he said, "They were struggling to provide for you and your siblings. We offered to take you off of their hands, tried to convince them they would be able to live more comfortably with fewer mouths to feed, but they refused. They were a family, and families stuck together through thick and thin, they said. They loved you."

He wanted her to lose it. Jacob wanted her to lose it and mess up so he had the opportunity he needed to get himself out of this. "They've probably been relocated by now," he said, and he laughed. "Even if you found them, what would they want with you? You're not their daughter. You're a killer. A monster. How could they--AHHHH!" His wound was being drilled into again, but this time by none other than his daughter, and when this fact registered with him, Jacob Bradley's expression changed drastically.

"That's enough," Esther hissed. Removing her fingers, she turned to C.T., standing in between her girlfriend and her father. She was trying to block Jacob Bradley from C.T.'s line of sight, or at least temporarily cut her off from him. Her hardened eyes softened immediately. "C.T., let's get out of here," she pleaded, reaching out to C.T. and grabbing her arms. Her eyes drifted briefly to C.T.'s bloody gut. ********, they needed to get that taken care of soon. As in now. But that could only happen if they left. Trying to meet C.T.'s gaze again, she said softly, yet firmly, "We'll find them. Remember that roadtrip we were going to take after this? They'll be our first stop. But we have to go."

C.T wanted to kill him, she wanted to rip off his limbs and beat him to death with them. That would make her feel better right? Shutting him up would solve everything wouldn't it? Once and for all, and hell it'd be easy she was already bleeding, she had all the power she would ever need to destroy him, and he just kept talking as if she couldn't erase him with the snap of her fingers. Or she could just shoot him, yea that'd be easy, easier than using her blood, she needed to save as much of it as she could anyway, she was on the verge of blacking out.

She was so intent on what she wanted to do to Jacob that she hadn't even noticed Esther stepping in between them until Jacob was yelling out in pain, C.T saw that Esther was pressing down into his wound painfully in the same ways that C.T had been just moments before. C.T was stunned out of her anger by the action, as well as Esther talking to her, providing a distraction that she needed. Esther was reminding her of the trip they said they would take, maybe they could find her parents, after all Jacob did say they were alive.

C.T gave a weak nod, allowing her eyes to meet Esther's, if she continued to look at Bradley she would attack him, and that would be it. "Got it boss." Mag sounded and she stood to join Esther and C.T, she was a little more forceful in nudging C.T towards the door, and C.T allowed herself to be led away.

"What have you done to my daughter?" Jacob demanded, but C.T didn't give him an answer she was already out the door, and into the hall way where the waiting guns of more than a few cups were pointed her way. She had almost forgotten about the cops. Almost.

"You're ward is in there, bleeding to death. You can try and capture us here, but I warn you we will fight back, and it's a fight you will lose, or you can go and save him and make yourselves look good on the news later. You're choice." Without waiting for an answer she pushed past the first cop roughly, and since he gave her passage she figured she was safe to move on. "Where's your car?" C.T asked, tiredly once they made it to the front door, knowing that there would be more cops outside. "Right out front, no too far away." Mag assured to which C.T nodded. "Good, don't think I can walk for much longer." She warned before pushing the front door open, and giving the same story to the cops waiting outside, that she had given to those upstairs. It helped that most of these officers were in Jacob's pocket, she could tell that most of them were off duty, because they didn't even bother radioing for back up. "Let's go." C.T mumbled.

Once they were out of the house and there was more room and fewer objects for C.T. to grab onto, Esther stepped around to her side to offer support. She pulled C.T.'s arm over her shoulder, placed her own arm around C.T.'s waist, and remained like this until they got to Mag's car. Opening the back door, Esther helped C.T. in first, then went around to the opposite entrance and scooted into the seat next to her girlfriend. With wounds like this, you were supposed to apply pressure, right? That was what she had seen in the movies, anyway, and consistently. Unable to find anything that would be useful, Esther stripped down to her sports bra and folded up her shirt to press against the gash in C.T.'s gut.

There was so much Esther wanted to say. She wanted to yell at C.T. for being stupid enough to come here alone--for leaving her behind and letting Mag tell her what had happened. But she also wanted to hold C.T. and apologize profusely for the life that was stolen from her. Although C.T. had already suffered more than enough during this trip, Esther's anger over C.T.'s rash decision was almost as strong as the sense of heartbreak she felt for the news C.T. had received. The rush and mix of emotions was too overwhelming, and all Esther managed to say, though clearly, was, "You shouldn't have come here."

Mag got into the driver's seat and cautiously left the Bradleys' property. Once the cops were out of sight, she headed back to the warehouse. Although she continuously checked her mirror, just to make sure no one was following them.

C.T winced when Esther pressed into the wound with her shirt, but this pain was probably deserved, she knew that Esther must think so, with the amount of worry C.T had put her through, but for C.T it had been necessary, if the worst that happened to her today was a gun shot wound. She would take it, no matter how much this little wound was turning out to hurt. Grunting, C.T placed her hand over Esther's applying the lightest of pressure herself, really she just yearned for the contact.

"You shouldn't have come here."

C.T looked over at Esther, before looking down at her lap. "I'm sorry." C.T spoke sincerely, she was sorry that she had worried Esther and that she had forced Esther's hand in making the girl chase after her. She was also sorry that Esther had to see the things that she had. "I just had to do it." C.T reasoned, though she didn't think Esther wanted to hear that so she quieted down as Mag drove, they weren't to far from home and pretty soon they were pulling up to garage, there were a few of her people waiting outside, with a stretcher, Mag had called them up and told them to be ready. C.T thought about protesting for just about a moment, but her tired body, begged her to reconsider, as she stepped out of the vehicle and nearly fell.

Although there was more Esther wanted to say, she kept silent. C.T. clearly knew Esther was upset with her, but she was holding firm to her belief that she had done what she needed to. Esther got the sense she would able to persuade C.T. otherwise, and what did it matter now, anyway? It had happened. s**t had hit the fan. They were alive--C.T., barely--though emotionally scarred. No amount of arguing was going to change all that had transpired.

Replacing her hand over the wound with C.T.'s, Esther got out of the car as soon as they had parked. She reached C.T.'s side just as the girl began to fall and managed to catch her. "Woah, alright, easy," she said softly. Seeing C.T. in this condition was making it pretty hard to remain upset with her. Esther helped the others get C.T. onto the stretcher, but didn't leave her side when C.T. was settled in and being carried into the warehouse. Holding firmly onto C.T.'s hand, she walked beside the stretcher all the way to their destination. Then, reluctantly, she kissed the back of C.T.'s hand and finally let go, stepping aside so those who actually knew what they were doing could step in.

Folding her arms across her chest, Esther stood back and watched as Mag and the others worked to get the bullet fragments out and dress the wound.

C.T allowed herself to be guided by Mag and the others onto the stretcher, closing her eyes and letting out a long sigh as exhaustion finally hit her, being able to lay down after so long gave her body a much need rest. It also helped that Mag had pressed a needle into her skin injecting her with a pain killer that also made her more than a little drowsy. C.T didn't even feel the kiss Esther had placed on her hand, before she was whisked off for 'surgery'.

The process was fast, all the medics had to do was remove the bullet fragments and C.T's body would heal itself, and although some of the fragments had went in deep, they really didn't have much trouble getting them out, they didn't have to be as precise with C.T as they would with a normal patient, so they were able to dig deeper, much easier. With the bullets dropped into a metallic dish, Mag exited stepped back letting her assistants patch up the wound while she approached Esther. "And that's that." Mag said with an easy smirk, she was trying to earn her way back into Esther's good graces because she wasn't sure where she stood with the girl. Mag showed Esther the fragments in the dish. "Only three fragments and they didn't pierce anything important, she's already started healing, she'll be loopy for a bit because of the drugs we gave her, but being C.T and all her it'll wear off quicker." Mag spoke as the other medics left the room, to wash their hands and most likely inform all the others on the boss' condition. "So.... Wanna keep em?" Mag asked pressing the dish towards Esther.

Esther let out a sigh of relief when Mag delivered the good news. C.T. would be fine. And Mag had a present for her, if she wanted it. Eyes drifting from the dish to Mag's face, Esther said flatly, "Not especially." She didn't like what those fragments represented. Although she was planning to go to C.T.'s side and remain there until the girl got better, she didn't leave right away.

"So... is this it, then? Is it over?" Esther asked Mag, her expression tired except for a hopeful glint in her eyes. She wanted to think that it was, that her father wouldn't bother them after this and they would be able to use the information they had gathered to persuade the masses to their side. But she was skeptical. This didn't feel entirely finished to her.

"Alright, I'll get rid of them." Mag said with a shrug, welp she should have known that wouldn't work, but hey she had to try. Besides, in her day she had seen many wives and sons take these and make jewelry out of them, it was cool in a action hero sort of way.

"As far as Jacob Bradley is concerned, it's over." Mag said confidently. "The list would make this go a lot smoother, but the evidence on him alone is enough to destroy his campaign as well as open a federal investigation. It'll be a matter of time before those names C.T wanted are exposed to the public." Mag said with a smirk patting Esther on the shoulder. "And don't worry, just because most of us are exiled doesn't mean we don't have people in high places, this will be handled properly you have my word." Mag said with a wink, moving past Esther and walking away with the dish in hand. "She'll be waking up soon, might wanna get ready for that. She's going to be in a little pain, but Connie doesn't like taking drugs so we can't really fix that. Just give her some water from that cabinet over there," Mag called pointing to the cabinet as she made her exit. "Make sure she drinks it slowly."

As if on cue, C.T began to move, and quickly following her movement came her pained groans, a low whine as she struggled through the drowsiness of the whatever it was that had put her under, and the sudden, burning pain in her gut.

If Mag said it was over, Esther guessed she would have to take the woman's word for it. The whole situation still felt unsettling, but they had essentially gotten what they had wanted, even if it hadn't happened in the way they had wanted.

Esther offered a weak smile when Mag winked at her, then nodded in reply to the order to give C.T. water. And go figure--almost as soon as Mag gave the instructions, C.T. woke up. Hearing the pained groans, Esther walked quickly over to the cabinet, grabbed a bottle of water, then went to C.T.'s side. She crouched down beside the bed, uncapped the bottle, then held it to C.T.'s lips. She snaked her free arm gently under C.T.'s back to help her sit up to drink the water. "Here, Mag said you should have some water," she said. Then Esther grinned a little, remembering when, just a few days ago, Mag had asked her to take a bottle of water and some pills to C.T. It had probably been one of the pivotal points in their relationship. "This seems vaguely familiar," she mused. "Except this time, Mag seems to have given up on trying to medicate you."
