A breath of disgust, and Ursa had her reply, though the speaker remained concealed.

"Only by my own carelessness, girl."

Ursa chuckled, somewhat uneasily at first, but it developed into a gradual flow. "Indeed." She agreed slowly, giving eye in directions. "Your good at hiding though." She complimented finally. "Very good. I'll give you that." She tilted her head at an angle.

"Its only a matter of - finding you -." A foot slowly lifted.

"Ursa." She introduced herself briefly.

"Still haven't yet?" the rough voice cajoled from above.

And again, but now, from seemingly somewhere else. "I could have pincushioned you with my entire quiver by now, girl."

And another taunt, from another place. "Perhaps I should."

A grin tested Ursas lips, before developing and spreading. She lifted her foot, before stomping it back down to the ground. "Who said I wasn't lying? Hide and seek is a fun game." She sniggered a bit. "It messes with your head." Her head tilted toward the other side, toward the tree which dominated the other side. "You would be a fool to try that. Ursa. Shaman of the Sun Court." She fully and properly introduced herself.

Her finger raised, and warded toward the branches and trees above her.

It pointed firmly.

The grin which spread across her face as she looked on was magnificent.

"Gotcha." Her finger half wiggled.

The cold, sharp hardness of an arrowhead pricked against her long neck as Laniger emerged behind her, bow tensed. The ram's smoldering eye narrowed slightly, deadly as his bolt, yet he could not keep a faint smile from crooking his lips.

"Perhaps a moment ago you had me, girl."

"Perhaps I did." Ursa smiled, and spoke soothingly. The arrowhead as it landed on her neck only made her but finch. She continued her smile. "Your very quick," she complimented. "Very quick." Her eyes narrowed, and tilted to their sides.

"I'll give you that." She shook on a giggle slightly.

"I sense your also a very strategic man." She spoke out her thoughts, diagnozing and assessing him as if he were a patient. A habit?

"Tell me. Bowman. Whats your name?" Her foot lifted.

This one was far pushier than the others, though the same scatterbrain remained. Perhaps even moreso, that she did not recognize him on sight. The elder Fey lowered his bow, sliding the arrow back into its quiver in a single swift motion.

"Laniger." he replied condescendingly, as though a parent indulging a slow child.

"Nice name." She complimented furtherly. "Are you going to kill me Laniger?" Ursa asked, daring to tilt her head.

Was the bear Fey still bluffing?

Playing at her game?

"If I were, I'd have buried that arrow in your breast, not my quiver." he rasped.

Ursa finched slightly, but kept her temper controlled. She carefully slid about. "Your a very cold man.." She diagnozed. "Don't you get lonely without any friends? I mean. Your not going to make friends like that." An eyebrow rose.

And she slid about.

Ah. Laniger.

It was nice to see eye to eye.

A cold man, but the baleful golden eye that met hers seemed to burn. The rare fey he'd regarded as any sort of friends were lost, along with the old ways he once knew. Replaced with this.

"I have no desire to make friends here, girl."

Ursa blinked. "You can call me Ursa," she invited the prospect quite rudely too, crossing her arms loosely. "How lonesome." She went on to comment. "I can be your friend." She nodded eagerly.

"I have lots of friends, they make you feel good." She told him.

"Maybe a few would do YOU some good Laniger."

The elder fey laughed derisively, then. "Have you been asleep past the snows, little bear? I have been here." He looked down to her, smoky hair falling over his amused eye. "Did your "friends" not tell you?"

She merely blinked, her composure loosening and slipping somewhat into a slouch. "Past the snows?" She repeated, slightly wide eyed. It certainly sounded like adventure, Ursa thought to herself. Recomposing herself quickily, she nodded down a little, rebellious strands of hair flowing over her eyes.

"No." She admitted finally. "No. They haven't told me anything. In fact, I don't know whats going on anywhere anymore. They just come to me..." A certain fury built somewhat inside of her. "They just come to me when they need me... They don't even care." She worked herself up somewhat, what Laniger had just said was messing her head up.

"They just come when they want cured or healed, they don't say much." Ursa spat a little. "And just go. They don't care." She shook her head heavily, her grin replaced with a manic frown.

"Your right."

"... All I have come to know is of an old friends death. Times are changing. Its nothing like back when it was, nothing like when I could be as so carefree to play. I often feel like a prisoner up in my chamber all the time, waiting for a new or next patient to come to me. I haven't retreated from my chamber for months," she gave him quick eye, "your the first person I've seen in weeks."

"Why Laniger? Why?" She came to ask, slightly weary eyed.

Laniger suppressed a smirk. She had the curves of a woman grown, no doubt, but she was new as a babe between her pretty tapered ears. He'd not seen a turn so fast since the dances he reluctantly attended in the old Court.

"They do not sound like what I would call friends." he murmured, bending the smirk to a faint smile instead. He tossed his smoky mane from his shoulders and his amused amber eye. "Are you so certain you should be lecturing me, little cub?"
