"Toronto, Canada!" He replied proudly. "Lived there most of my life. My grandparents came to Canada from Korea." He looked around as Harland did, at the new faces dotting the crowds. "This place is big, and there's a lot of people. They'll be well taken care of, I'm sure. That extra money sure is tempting though." Dylon chuckled with a bright smile.
He elbowed the other man in the arm. "Sink?" He laughed. "Gosh, your head must have been all turned around. This island is petty crazy though. Admittedly I tend to stick to what I've come to know, too. Familiarity breeds routine! Routine is solid and dependable."
"Got any hobbies? I like robots, comics and swimming, myself." He preened happily.

"The New Years thing wasn't so bad," she told Davey, wincing at Ami's reply. More work. She wouldn't complain normally, but once she started up her Death chores . . . Oh boy. Her schedule would be full along with the personal problems she was involved in. "Just an alternate universe where Deus was thriving. Town was alive, people came to camps, that sort of thing."
She still missed it.
Stormy gave a low hum at Gale's departing kiss, his fingers meeting resistance as they slid from hers. "Light it is." There were new people around and it was somewhat her duty to look into it, but all she wanted to do was leave. Too many people, too many people. Too much noise.
Taking a deep breath, she got up and started to make her way over and out. In passing she clumped Nevada and Otto into a bear hug (perhaps almost uncomfortably tight with how long she held it) before murmuring, "Text me if you wanna talk about it."
At the edge of the crowd, though, she saw Sherry with an unfamiliar girl and, deciding at least a little work was alright, hovered over. "Hullo, Sherry!" she greeted brightly. "Aaaand hullo, new girl! Welcome to Deus! Did they tell you anything before you guys arrived?"
So shocked he barely registered the words "unbonded and fragile", Andy really couldn't say hi to Wyatt (though he did kind of make note of his face so later when his brain returned from wherever it ran off to he could apologize or something for being a zombie right then).
As for Mr. Snarky-butt Alistaire, Andy's brain was AWOL and he didn't notice the nasty expression, the smirk or the condescending tone - it was probably better he didn't - Andy had never been very good about keeping his temper in check when stressed. Jordan was the calmer one, really.
Ian was helpful, but more than hearing someone else confirm, seeing his brother and hearing him did it. His hand took the offered one automatically, two pumps and then he took a tentative step towards the person he'd never, ever thought he'd see again. He'd given that up in favor of trying to protect him (Via Deus)...instead of the other way around.
Oh god oh godohgod! It was Jordan. The voice, the shocked expression - older, different hair and clothes and just different...but unmistakably Jordan. "Jordy?" His voice held a very unmanly quaver, but he couldn't help it, didn't care.

Poor Noah, Peyton kept hold of his hand as she weaved through the bodies of other hunters, and he poor guy was just along for the ride. The closer she got the easier it was to see, and she blinked as she noticed Gale standing beside the dainty blonde, introducing himself, welcoming her, and she put on a little burst of speed to slip through the last of the milling Hunters.
She kept hold of Noah's hand right up until she was right beside the slightly smaller blonde, and let go only because she needed both hands to catch thin shoulders, spinning Astrid about until they were facing each other. And it wasn't gentle, but Peyton needed to know if this was indeed her sister, and when lavender eyes fell on familiar hazel they widened.
Hands fell away from the other girl's shoulders, but she lifted one to catch the delicate point of a tanned chin, tipping that head up, to the side, and when she was sure. When she was absolutely sure that this was indeed her flesh in blonde--her baby sister--a somewhat broken sound escaped from her throat before she could prevent it. "Aszy what are you doing he?" Maybe she should have been happy to see her, it had been a long time, years in fact, but if anything she sounded upset.
She wasn't supposed to be here, in this place. This wasn't what she wanted for her. This isn't how it was supposed to be. What the ******** had happened?
Her hand fell away, sort of hovering between them for a handful of seconds, then she was pulling the smaller girl in, wrapping arms around her, and holding tightly. Eyes still wide, intense, fearful.
She didn't have a weapon. She wasn't safe.

"Canada! Always wondered if I'd've been better off there instead," he said, approvingly. Better than in the US, anyway. He would always miss Connemara. "Extra money, ah, yeah, surely," he said, trying to pretend he had definitely not been kind of dozed off. "Well... Ian's over there with one of the new kids, guess we could volunteer," Harland said, looking off at Ian and looking either perplexed or a little uncomfortable.
"I take a long time to adjust,"he tried to explain, though it was pretty funny that he hadn't known how or where to do his laundry normally for a long time. Yeah.
Oh, hobbies. Harland figured wanting to be a hero wasn't really a hobby, so all he could say was: "It used to be drinkin' and my job, paranormal investigator. Now I guess all I've got left is readin' and cowboy movies. An' The King," Harland said, nodding. "Swimmin' and I don't really agree," he said, with a wry smile, "but comics n' robots, you sound like a lively guy to know," he added.

Finally released, Milo took the chance to finish up the last bit of OJ in his cup. Only so much of the food had been taken, mostly by others it seemed... or Jack and it was kind of forgotten in favor of conversation and the sudden appearance of the fabled Dr. H and a small collection of new people. The brunette spared them a glance before returning to the pink haired girl.
"Aa, she's Noemi, lives across the hall from me." He explained, setting hit cup elsewhere on the bleachers.
Chel's attention soon turned elsewhere, so he turned to direct his back to the red head. Who seemed to be trying to flee? Milo held out a hand, reaching, "Aaa ~ Noemi-chan ~ we could do it together, care after these poor souls, protect and nurture. Together. We can be as the Go-Ong Wings!" Besides the whole liking the idea of taking someone under his wing, that double pay thing didn't seem too bad.
"Oh," Noah said, softly, understanding. He guessed he would have been just as startled and just as lost for words if one of his sisters had shown up here. ... And maybe kind of angry, but that was neither here nor there. He squeezed Peyton's hand as he grip loosened.
Astrid certainly sounded like her sister, that confident, teasing tone coming through, and both of them were short, and the blond hair ... yeah, he could definitely see it, Noah concluded. As Peyton let go to turn her sister around and pull her into a hug, Noah hung back a little, not quite sure what the etiquette was in this situation, though he nodded respectfully to the guy Astrid had been talking to. The guy didn't look any older than Noah, but his coat said that he was a full-ranked hunter, so he must have been here for a while.

Said red-head was almost scooted off the bench when Milo reached for her.
"Poor souls?" she laced her hands..."Protect them?" That's what her job was so...."I don't understand what you are saying...." She blinked and maybe scooted closer. "But I will help you, si?" Maybe it'd be okay with Milo, and he had his shirt on and wasn't posing so.
She watched the pink haired hunter fly off and looked back to Milo. "So...who do we take?"
It was Andy. The understanding sank home like an earthquake shaking the foundations of a house, and Jordan said, "Jesus ******** Christ, kid, I thought you were dead," and the laugh that followed the statement might have been a little high, a little fragile. He stepped forward to haul his brother into a bearhug, remembering at the last moment to modulate his strength, because Andy was still human.

"You can still be a paranormal investigator!" He said with excitement, "After all, this is kind of what being a Hunter is about, right? Better yet, we get fancy gadgets!" Which was part of the reason he loved being in Moon. All the building and tinkering he could enjoy.
"Lively is a good word. I think I have a bit too much energy to go around." He gave a hardy laugh. "Leave the babysitting to the experts." He patted the man on the shoulder, "We'd just get them lost."
"I can't help but notice you seeming distracted." He looked over to Ian. "Friend?"

"Being a hunter instead of a paranormal investigator's like being a superhero versus a cereal box mascot," he said, and laughed, "I'm way better off here. Apart from, ye know, dying an all."
Harland's muscles, which he had apparently managed to tense all at once in some miracle display of stress, relaxed instantly as he looked back at Dylon. He was desperately happy to be free of the obligation to guide a newbie, though he had more faith in Dylon than he did in himself, so perhaps together they could have cobbled together a greeting. "I'd love to be friends, though admittedly I'm not used t'--" Harland seemed like he was a little off in his own thoughts when Coyote's inner bitter voice chimed in:
☆≼He was asking if you were looking at a friend, Cowboy. No one just asks to be friends, unless they're still under the age of five.≽
"Oh. You meant over there, didn't ye," Harland added, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand; he had, by this point, turned bright red.
He also didn't really know what to say. He finally remembered it had been a question in the first place, and added: "Somethin' like that, yeah," and shrugged a shoulder.

Gale's expression was vaguely exasperated at the height comment, but he refrained from actually saying anything to contradict this. "Ye-es...well," he said, sliding his hands into the pockets of his coat. "Not everyone here is an overgrown white haired giant."
Meaning a certain hunter whose name started with a B and ended with an ix, but Gale just smiled slightly and added, "Nice to meet you, Astrid."
The exasperation in his tone grew a little. "I see the good doctor has been giving you the grand introduction. Not so sure saving the world is such an accurate phrase, but we do our best to make things right here. We fight against monsters," he explained, "born from fear and from...well, whatever else. They exist and we go after them."
There was a small pause. "For the most part," Gale amended, as footsteps indicated someone else was coming nearer. He turned his head and caught a brief glimpse of Peyton before she'd flung her arms around Astrid and dragged her near for a hug. Somewhat startled, Gale took a step back, nearly running into the young man that had come along with Peyton.
"Hey," he said, and since the two girls were currently occupied, he thought it best to introduce himself. "I'm Gale. I'm guessing you know Peyton, and her..." He waved a hand in Astrid's general direction, not quite sure how they knew each other just yet, though if he had to guess by the color of their hair, he would have said sisters.

The man seemed distracted, and very, very flustered. Dylon kept on smiling regardless, rocking back and forth on his heels. "Something like that, huh?" Now he was hooked. "Sooomething like that~" He gave a teasing smile.
"Rival? Brother? Bunk buddy? Cousin three times removed?"

He was still a little groggy, with such a lackluster wake-up call thrown on top of everything else considered but there was an infinite gladness to be home, even if home was Deus, and to know that it had all only been a dream. His entrance into the gymnasium was particularly late, and particularly ill timed, as he made his way over to Ian, interrupting their party with a beaming smile as he slid an arm over Ian’s shoulder, staring not at all subtly at the faces he didn’t know. He was a bit of a shock, what with his mussed pink hair pulled loosely into a ponytail at the back of his head, but his friendliness was genuine, well, genuine to most, as he pointedly ignored Alistaire.
“Family reunion, huh?” he said brightly, grinning widely at Jordan and the newcomer.
“Ah…Zachary!” he offered her a hand to shake briefly. “… save the world… zombies… if there weren’t so many of us here I’d just assume some psycho kidnapped us. Those…pods though.” He shook his head confused and more than a little concerned.
He had to pause though, standing aside to watch with wide eyes as someone who seemed to recognize her approached her, and it seemed, after a moment that she in turn knew him somehow.
“You, know each other?” He asked cautiously. He wasn’t sure if he felt that was a good thing or a very bad thing since a scarred man who dressed rather similarly to the young man who lacked an entire arm, which after conversations about zombies did give far too much fodder for nightmares, held them together on a strange island.
“Were you in one of those pods too?” he asked cautiously. After all, he had no idea if there were other areas with those strange ‘pods’.
