Carefully Mika bandaged the cook's wounds. "I doubt our leader knows," she muttered mostly to herself in answer to Tatsuya's question. "Skye would have known I bet." She finished and nodded. "I'm no medic but...tat'll do until Skye wakes." 'If she wakes,' she thought. 'That was alot of blood she lost. I'm not sure she'll make it.'

Leo was rushed with guilt. He knew he was in the wrong, but he didn't have time to offer any of his sympathies. He gathered once more with Tatsuya and noticed Mika was there as well. "Our only option at this point is to infiltrate Grayther, the man who betrayed me. We'll have no problem getting there, so we should make good on time. Skye should hold up until we're there. We can take their outfits." Leo gestured towards them on the car. "From there, we should be able to get in smoothly. We can plan it out more, but for now, we're making a stop first. You can come with me or not, I'm going. Suit up and scavenge what you can from the fight. Meet me back here if you're coming." Leo crossed his arms, contemplating. "Someone should go inform the cook as well. There's not another place that offers medical supplies except for your prized Vault 13." He proceeded over to the car, severing off the pant legs on an outfit and tearing it a bit more for authenticity.

"Your plan is crap," Mika said calmly before going after the cook. "Looking for a town is best. It isn't suicide." She walked off, her head held high. There was no way she was respecting him now. No way at all. He'd completely lost her loyalty.



Skye stirred and her eyes fluttered open. Her body felt numb, she was in shock but she realized that at a distance. She didn't try to move, knew she couldn't even stand if she wanted to. There wasn't even enough strength in her to sit up and she felt so cold. Distantly she registered it was caused by blood loss and that she was still bleeding. Slowly she turned her head though it was an effort and saw Tatsuya beside her.

'Did he bandage my leg,' Skye wondered. 'Did he cut it off?' All she knew was that Leo had been hesitating to do as she knew had to be done. 'Why are we still here?' Blackness began to rim her vision and she blinked in an attempt to get rid of it but it only grew. She wouldn't be awake much longer. "Tatsuya," she whispered so softly he could miss. It was an attempt to get his attention before she could black out. All she wanted to do was say she was sorry.

Leo picked up plasma cell cartridges off of the dead bodies; he found another plasma pistol. He loaded the gun, snapping the cartridges into place and beaming a shot at the store to ensure its capability. Leo sat, thinking about his actions. Leo had already been disgraced as a leader. A leader, one too incapable, sane, or mentally ready to lead any group. Flaws were marked one by one, ruling him out at every turn. His choices reflected upon his very structure of how the group saw him. And those choices were not justified. This time, it was Leo's fault. But Leo knew one thing that went against everything that he was, even if he wasn't there to witness it; the scouting group would die. Shrouded in their naive minds, they didn't see the truth for what it was; it takes more than a security guard, maintenance man, medic, and cook to live in the wastes. He knew it was a contradiction within itself. Choices weren't easily made by him, but he still knew what it took to live in the wastes. Leo couldn't sustain more guilt, especially after what had happened. He could leave, but it wasn't up to him. He physically couldn't get up and walk. He couldn't leave them.

Mika easily caught up to the cook. "Hey you shouldn't have left like that," she panted. "It's getting dark and...well I bet it's real dangerous out here at night. We should stick together at least till dawn." She didn't admit she was afraid of the dark.



Skye wanted to say she was sorry, she really did. "Stop...bleeding," was what she said instead. "Tie cloth tight round leg to...lessen blood flow. Please...Tatsuya." Her voice was quiet, soft and very weak. It wouldn't carry far. "We...need a fire. Light...they hate light..." With that she passed out, her eyes closing as the pool of blood grew despite the bandages.

"A fire would be best, but we'll die if we stay out here. We need to reach the roof of the store. That's the only way we'll make it until morning." Leo knew Tatsuya might have the same affect as Mika, but he didn't care. He was his only choice. Leo wasn't scared. Far from it. He just didn't have a death wish. "Will you come with me?" Leo asked reluctantly as he swiveled his head to the side, massaging his face.

Mika nodded absently. "Yeah yeah," she said, not really listening or even looking at him. Her focus was on the dimming light as she looked around. Her eyes did catch something strange in the distance though. "Hey...what's that green cloud over there," she asked slowly. "It's like it's sitting on the ground. I couldn't see that till night started to fall. It looks...odd." There was indeed a low green cloud in the distance that was growing more visible as the light dimmed. Within the green cloud a tower of a church was barely visible because of the distance. "Should we check that place out?"

Skye was getting cold, very cold. She knew it was from the blood loss but she couldn't stop her body from shivering. It was partially also from the shock of course but right then she didn't care. All she wanted was to feel warm. It didn't help that as night set in the temperature was dropping. 'Someone throw a blanket or something over me,' she though but couldn't say. Their voices still reached her ears but it was as if from a great distance. She heard something about a roof and sorta agreed though she knew her body was in no condition to be moved. Skye tried to wake up, tried to get her eyes to open again, tried to get her mouth to work. It was best if they just left her now. She couldn't walk and she'd most likely die since none of them knew what they were doing.
