Persephone felt like she was doing pretty good, even with no weapons, no magic, and nothing else. She spun, elbowing a nearby shade in the face, and laughing out loud. This was a battle, and perhaps she ought to be afraid, because normally in a fight she was inhibited and weak and useless, but tonight she was on fire. She dodged the incoming mace, and laughed again, because this was just getting better the longer it went on.

Sailor Persephone HP: 24

Tantalus turned, reaching over to offer a hand to the pink-haired Dark Mirror who had stumbled over to him and Damocles. He kicked a nearby shade away, which also allowed him to pull himself and the girl away from the incoming maces. "You alright, miss?" He asked.

Sailor Tantalus HP: 14

Natron had never been attacked by his own weapon. It smacked into his gut, and he choked, falling to his knees and coughing. "******** b***h," he growled, staggering up and slamming his mace into a nearby shade. "Next time it's for you!" He shouted at the Queen, and he was fully prepared to make good on that threat.

Captain Natron HP: 11

Penthesilea swore loudly and violently when the shade queen faded from view. She was finally close enough for a shot, and the witch had to go and hide herself. She couldn't risk firing off one of her attacks - she only got two good shots, so instead she would just wait.

Sailor Penthesilea HP: 40

"Ack!" Amytis let the taller man pull her away, looking over to his blond companion. "I'm Sailor Amytis," she introduced herself, as she drove a sharp, pointy heel into a shade. "Sorry to interrupt you two!"

Sailor Amytis HP: 24

With the shade dead the General turned his focus on the shade Queen once more. She was not going to escape his attention so easily. She was the one he most wanted to kill, or at least hurt severely. He didn't think himself capable of killing her but he certainly could harm her, he had done so in fact, and he would do just that now that her little minion was no longer an issue.

"Pathetic little shadow." Sneering he glanced to where it had been for but a moment. His attention back to his target as he made his way to the edge of the lake. He wasn't going out into the water, even if it were to only be a few inches deep, so he stood at the shore line and for a moment took in the scene around him. Senshi, knights and agents of chaos all against her...she really was the enemy at the moment - something which pulled, or forced, them all together. Dry, even perhaps humorless, laughter escaped him for a moment before he saw her try and do...something and then she was less visible. She was harder to see...what had she done?

Gripping his weapon he used it to keep himself safe from the incoming attack, another weapon which looked familiar to him. So she was using their attacks against them...did she have any ability of her own aside from copy cat?

Their attacks seemed to be enraging the monster in the lake, but it was hard to see just how much damage they were doing or how much more it would take to defeat her. At least they seemed to be doing something...

When she moved out into the water, though, it complicated things. Fists would reach her, so it seemed time to use one of her remaining attacks.

Taking a firm stance, the flower senshi called up her bow again, drawing back the string to call up a shining arrow.

"Heavenly Orchid Arrows!" She cried out as she let it loose, aimed straight for the queen.

Sessrumnir saw the shade heading towards him, and gripped tighter onto his stormglass in preparation. The shade using magic to attack wasn’t surprising, but the type of attack was. Even though he was ready for some kind of crazy flying arrows, or feeling like he’ll lose his lunch, or being hit with stupid paper airplanes… he wasn’t quite ready for the white tiger attack.

He cursed as he was forced backwards, nearly losing his balance and toppling over, but managed to dig his feet into the ground, his arms held up to use his new vambraces to block the brunt of the attack. And with that, he felt his left arm go limp. His eyes widened in surprise as it hung by his side. He wasn’t helpless with his right arm, but it wasn’t ideal. He didn’t usually rely in it for his heavy swinging with his stormglass, in any case. Still, he wished he was a bit more ambidextrous than he was at the moment.

Instead of trying to attack the shadow, he jumped backwards to put more distance between them. Which was probably good because another attack came flying in out of nowhere. The mace hit him hard against the right side of his back, surely with enough damage to leave a nasty bruise.

"Alright, let's see what you've got," he hissed at the shadow in his way of getting to the queen. Sore and now bruised, he was ready to punch his way through to get to her if he had to. With a lunge forward, he swung the stormglass much like one would a mace, hoping to at least do some damage on the shade, despite the use of his right arm.

"Damocles, Tantalus." He said pointing at each other wasting absolutely zero time on introductions, besides, they could do that later. ...If there was a later. "Are you alright yourself?" He asked as he ducked the mace and aimed a punch at a shade.

Desmond blinked almost stupidly as the Shade Queen seemed to disappear. The purple haired boy rubbed at his eyes. Maybe they were still a bit unfocused after the flash??? He pulled his hands away just in time to see the mace flying at him, and it was either sheer dumb luck or by some higher power that he managed to avoid being hit. "Grace..... You better hope I don't get my hands on that mace of yours because I will strangle you with it." He threatened

Quicksilver the Archangel

The shade hissed and clawed at Serpentine's leg, but the Captain's relentless assault eventually had it stilling and then collapsing. It was dead, but it felt it had at least done some damage to the one attacking its Queen.

Guine

The Shade snarled when the stormglass contacted with its face, staggering back and shaking its head desperately. Then, it ran in, ducked low to ram its head and shoulder into Sessrumnir's upper body.

Having never been in such a position before, Valhalla struggled to find a way to fight back against the shade he could not reach, and who had him gasping for air as it pulled tighter on the cord. He had never been a very passionate fighter, much less a knowledgeable one, so getting out of a coking hold like this was beyond him to comprehend. The bloodlust just wasn’t there for him to understand how to fight back, even though he knew he needed to do something to save his own life.

His vision began to blur first as he struggled in vain to find a way to get his shade off of him, and he soon dropped to his knees, light headed and unable to keep himself upright, despite desperately pulling at the cord to get it away from his neck. Being strangled to death by his own copy wasn’t what he’d had planned when he promised Ganymede that he could handle it on his own, and while he wasn’t regretting having her help Themiscyra out instead, there was still that nagging voice in the back of his head telling him he should have known he was in over his head.

Then, suddenly, the shade released the cord and Valhalla fell forward to the ground, using one forearm to keep himself from hitting it face first, while his free hand rubbed at his neck as he both coughed and gasped for air to fill his burning lungs. The reason why the shade backed off was baffling only for a few moments, and then he heard its screams.

It was strange, hearing himself scream like that, and from the attack that had undoubtedly been used on it. Ganymede’s Searing Passion did that to people — made them scream in pain, and leave them shaky and covered in sweat. He remembered the first time he’d seen her use it on a human, and how much it had upset her. The way they screamed was like they’d been set on fire. Obviously no physical damage, but he could only imagine the pain that caused that kind of reaction.

Valhalla rolled over onto his side to watch as his shade stumbled backwards and into a nearby tree, watching it seem to claw at its sides as it screamed. For just a moment, Valhalla felt pity for it… and then he remembered how it had spared no second thought when it came to killing him — and then who else should it succeed?

He could see Themiscyra still struggling with her own shade out of the corner of his eye, and could see glimpses of the others fighting around him, all struggling with shades or the Queen herself. They needed to end this fight as soon as they could, before anyone else had a chance of getting hurt.

Feeling as though he’d managed to get enough air back into his lungs, he pushed himself up from the ground and launched himself forward to attack the shade, just as he saw Ganymede fall.

His eyes widened as panic overtook him. “Themiscrya!” he yelled, trying to get the other knight’s attention to get to Ganymede when he obviously couldn’t. He knew he couldn’t afford to lose focus on the shade in front of him, and would regret it if he let it escape. He could only hope and pray that Ganymede had not been fatally injured, and that he’d be able to get to her, soon.

She was tired… so tired… She didn’t think she had the strength to fight off another attack from the shade or the Queen. And yet, as she watched practically helpless at the shade advancing on her, something strange happened.

Another energy appeared nearby, and something was said… And suddenly, her shade was no longer trying to attack her, but going after another shade instead. Her eyes widened as she turned to look at the man telling her to move, and at first she was frozen to the ground, before finally forcing herself to get up and get away.

“It’ll come back,” she breathed, no more than a whisper, her eyes still wide as she looked over the young man who’d come to her aid. He was a senshi, but not like her… she’d never met someone like him before. Maybe she crossed paths with another like him at large fights where everyone was running around doing their own thing, but she’d definitely never spoken to one. She wasn’t even sure what he was called.

”Woah!” Oberon sputtered when an orb was suddenly thrown at his shade, causing it to freak out over something. He had no idea what it could be, but he knew right then that he definitely didn’t want that orb to hit him. The chibi flailed as he tried getting out of the way, watching as his own shade disappeared into the trees.

“Thanks,” he said to Metis, looking up at her in gratitude as he scrambled back to her side, wincing from the attacks he’d been under just recently. “Aww, it got away,” he said, looking worried and wondering when it would come back and how mad it was going to be when it did.

“What did you do to it??”

Luck was not his lady tonight it seemed. He was ever grateful that Athene seemed to be watching his back. However, his more protective instincts seemed to take hold as a mace swung at him from an unseen enemy. Rather than let the already injured Psyche take another hit, he quickly swept his cape about her before moving his back to take the majority of the blow.

To his two momentary companions, he had to ask "...how are you holding up, my allies..."
