When I see the Giants, though, I don't mind cheering for them." he explained, chuckling when he heard Ellery's grandfather's favorite teams. Perhaps the colors were the only things to like about those teams. He set the cookbook down and opened the fridge to get out some milk when he heard the next question. " My aunt would come down to visit, and we would always go one of our favorite restaurants. The way we decided is that my parents, my aunt, and I would write down our absolute favorite restaurant on a slip of paper and put it in a bucket, and after some vigorous shaking my dad would pull out the winner. Of course, that was the default game. Sometimes we would put the paper on a dartboard and they would blindfold me and I would pick out the winner. There were other games we had, too. In fact, we bet on the Price is Right at one point." he laughed, but slowly it died down. Fredrich stood in front of the fridge for a while, staring at the milk in his hands distantly. " I, umm... I'll be going to the hospital later." he said quietly, his eyes unchanging. " There's someone there I have to talk to." ♵ ♶ ♷ ξllery Ѧdvimi ♷ ♶ ♵ Ellery was by Fredrich's side in no time, his hand on the detective's forearm. " That's alright. If you need me, you know where I'll be," he said, smiling encouragingly. " Would you like me to come with you? I wouldn't mind." He removed his hand, stuffing his hands into his pockets and tilting his head up at the Austrian.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.He only shook his head, back to reality but with his dark blue eyes filled with a type of sadness. " No... It'd be best to stay here." he murmured and numbly set the milk onto the counter. " I'm sorry to leave so suddenly, but I promise I'll be back quickly." he smiled after getting his coat and started slipping it on. Once he was dressed formally again, he set his phone into his pocket and stepped out, leaving Ellery to his thoughts. ♵ ♶ ♷ ξllery Ѧdvimi ♷ ♶ ♵" I'll see you when you get back!" he replied, waving goodbye and waiting until he shut the door to get fully into his cooking. Thirty minutes later, the turkey was in the oven, the stuffing and potatoes were perfect, and nothing else needed to be done. He stood up straight, walking over to the door in thought. He wouldn't be gone long. Just a quick peek down to him, just a small hello, and then he'd come back home. That was what Ellery told himself as he dressed himself, grabbing the spare keys and rushing out the door. Awesome nerd He will. Of course, after he puts the turkey in the oven.

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Several minutes after Ellery would return, Fredrich would reenter his home. " Ellery? I'm back." he called out as he unbuttoned his coat. His facial expression had returned to its serious, cold self, but sadness still lingered in his blue eyes. He took a deep breath to try and seal away the last of that sadness, because he wasn't sure he'd last if Ellery pried even a little. With his mitts protecting his delicate skin, the songwriter held up the cherry pie with a small fork in the middle sticking right up, smiling up at Fredrich. He had just barely found the time to put away his coat, tug on the apron and handkerchief bandanna, and look like the housewife he was falling into the role of. " Try it. I want to see if you like it!"

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Seeing the tears in Ellery's eyes, a bead of sweat rolled down the detective's head. " N-No, I'll eat it." he said. Looking back at the pie, he took the fork out of it and put it into his mouth. His dark blue eyes twitched when the fresh pie burned everything that touched his mouth, but he hid it enough and swallowed the fireball down. " It's... very good." he said while looking back at Ellery. " Did you put cinnamon in it?" ♵ ♶ ♷ ξllery Ѧdvimi ♷ ♶ ♵" Just a touch," he said, producing a bottle of water from his apron and holding it out for Fredrich to take as he balanced the pie on his hand. " Grandmother always said that every pie should have a bit of cinnamon in it, or it's not a real Southern pie. She said that my mother used to make the best pies in the world, and that out of anyone in our family, I make the closest to hers. I guess it's nice knowing I have something in common with her." He giggled a bit, taking light of the situation. After the bottle was taken, he took the pie back into the kitchen and set it on the counter to air-cool, then bent at the waist as he opened the oven and checked the turkey that wasn't even close to half-finished. " Everything is done, mostly. Would you mind setting the table?"

In this world, one cannot say anything without proof to back them up.Fredrich gratefully took the water bottle into his gloved hand and uncapped it. He brought it to his lips as Ellery recounted tales about his family. He hesitated when he heard Ellery talk about his mother, doing his best not to let anything shine in his eyes. " It's... Th-They're very good pies." he mumbled and drank his water. After cooling his mouth down, he capped the bottle back and looked at the songwriter. Nodding, he took the plates out of the cabinet and walked to the table to set them down. I did buy one of those already cooked turkeys... he thought to himself, recounting the rotisserie turkey he had bought as he set the two plates down on the table. I guess Ellery wanted to make it on his own to make it special. I can't really tell why, unless he thinks there's something between us now. Nngh, well it's too late to stop him. I'll give the rotisserie turkey to Hayden. I don't know when he got here, but even he'd appreciate free food.Without proof, you'll never catch me. ................................................................................................

♵ ♶ ♷ ξllery Ѧdvimi ♷ ♶ ♵" Thank you," he beamed as he carefully placed the rotisserie turkey Fredrich bought earlier onto a plate. He carried it, along with several bowls with stuffing, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and a gravy boat to the table, balancing it all on a huge tray. He set it all down on the table, taking them off the tray before bringing it back to the kitchen. He then poured two glasses of wine and carried them and the bottle of wine to the table. It was one of his own that he'd managed to have delivered, and was stored by his mother and father on their first Thanksgiving together. Ellery chose to not tell Fredrich this as he placed the glasses down. " So, do you have anyone you want to invite tomorrow? I don't really know any of your friends, so..."

I'm not really on good terms with Cameron still, but if I remember right you've already invited him." he murmured while looking at the wine. He wondered if it was that one wine Ellery had made, the one he named after him when they first met. " I've a friend that recently got here, so I guess I'll invite him." he said without too much enthusiasm. ♵ ♶ ♷ ξllery Ѧdvimi ♷ ♶ ♵The young songwriter took Fredrich's plate, starting to carefully fill it with food. " Oh? Whats his name?" asked Ellery as he placed the plate back down in front of Fredrich, covered in food. He started filling his own, glancing up at Fredrich every now and then. He looked upset. Clearly it was because of his mother. Why did Ellery have to say something about his own? He just wasn't thinking, it just came out! He wanted to apologize, but didn't know how. Instead, he only set his plate down and waited for Fredrich's answer.

" He was one of my best friends in high school. Believe it or not, he's not human. He's part vampire and incubus, so you might have to watch out around him." he smirked to himself, closing his eyes to recount the memories with his old friends.
