The decay of the place was beautiful in its own way, somehow. She couldn't quite put a word to it. But in the silence there was something eerie . . . Rostym didn't want to linger too long here.
She approached the coaster with a curious eye but remembered her experience with the gliders. Cautiously, she inspected the ride for something to trigger.

She then continued her search on the other side, having found little evidence on the first go around. She might have an open mind, but her eyes apparently needed to be opened further . . .

Rostym really liked staring at that thing, all right? It was very, very pretty. Super pretty. Creepy pretty.

Her investigation was such that she failed to notice where her feet were going. Rostym suddenly snagged a foot and lurched forward, the ride screeching a few inches with her. Holding on, she pulled her leg out with a small wince.

After some fiddling, she managed to get the cart moving at last! . . . and perhaps a bit too fast. A ball of nervousness formed as the coaster careened this way and that. culminating to a full on shout as she broke away and fell to the ground with an awful crash.
Rostym was a shaky little mess for a while.

And yet bravely she went back on after it had settled, her breath held as she made her way across. the hill was bumpier than she liked, but at least she wasn't falling off this time. Onwards!

These swings looked very . . . rusty looking. Rostym hesitated at the gate to observe them, but there didn't seem a way around. Sighing, she rolled up her metaphoric sleeves and began to climb.
The first time did not work out so well.

This time around, however, she understood how to maneuver herself and made it. Phew! Not as scary as the rollercoaster, though even if it had been she would have forced herself to try. That was, after all, her sacred duty.

And now, the stretch of land to a fallen shop. Rostym took her steps carefully, her hands ever twitching as if ready to summon weapons into them. Who knew what lurked here . . .

Or perhaps she was alone? That was almost comforting to think about. Alone in the foggy ruins of an entertainment center . . .
Better than being fed the emotional memories of someone she didn't know. Much, much better.

The pavement was strewn with cracks. With a pace so slow, she ought to examine a few while she was out, no?
Rostym glanced over several of them as she walked, trying to make a picture out of them.

Why was everything crumbling, she wondered. The monsters, the floor, the platforms . . .Everything always seemed to be coming apart. Why?

Maybe they were all broken in some way. Maybe their cores, the blessings of the goddesses, were meant to plug that hole. Maybe if they weren't careful, they'd end up just as broken and forgotten.

Th edge was just there, she realized halfway through her musings. Just a jump and she'd be done.
Or would that upset the floor's precarious state? She was afraid to so much as step too hard . . .

Thus did Rostym take a literal leap of faith of sorts. And there she was.
The three orbs of light waited for her like she had glimpsed at the beginning; their lights always seemed to permeate the area no matter where she was. Rostym approached and took one, glancing over her shoulder as she crept away from this rather lonely place.
You are mine, she thought with a little smile. And I will protect you as the goddess wills.
