With every punch, she couldn't help but feel a little more saddened by the attack, knowing partially that it still had the desire to destroy in preservation. At the same time, though, she knew that it was . . . suffering. It needed to be taken down.
Again with the ankles. If she hadn't already been shaken up, she probably would have though the limbs to be more annoying than anything.

She wondered idly what would happen if she threw herself down into the abyss. When she fell in battle, she felt as if she had only flickered for a moment before reappearing back on the spot where she had (thought) that she had been slain.
...It was strange.
