S'dekai and Pioth - Defending against Tatath
HP: 12/65
Defense: 1d8+3
Accuracy: -6

Damage negated!
---

Was that... Erinaeth? Pretty crimson Erinaeth bespeaking Pioth?

Pioth did his best to dodge Tatath's most recent vicious attack, and his mindvoice was strained as he addressed Erinaeth. Ah, we have been better! Currently trying to stay in one piece, he admitted frankly.

Against a fellow wherholder, no less. But she would probably figure that one out on her own.

Banshidheth, Idle
18/70

And it was done. There was no rush of pride or satisfaction that accompanied that realization. It was as it had to be, and nothing more. Banshidheth turned away from the fallen Queen to survey the battle, assessing how many allies and enemies remained, the condition they were in. She had done as the Warden had commanded and 'handled' Cepheith, but others remained, including some who had yet to enter the fight. Hmph. Why had they come at all, then? Fools.

But enough of that. Where would she be of most use? Tatath seemed to have the traitor well in hand, and she would not insult the green by swooping in in the last moments of the fight. The tiny gold was already under assault by three dragons, and would undoubtedly fall just as Cepheith had. There was the large green, battling whers and handlers, and a crimson pitted against yet another handler pair. Decisions, decisions.

In the meantime, a moment's rest to catch her breath.

Arlii and Erinaeth

Perhaps you should try a tad bit harder, darling. Erinaeth said sardonically, watching Tatath with slowly swirling red-orange eyes. She was unsure why the Green was attacking Pioth and His, but surely there would be an excellent reason behind it if she asked later?!

Focus! Arlii sighed, much more serious then her dragon currently was. So. Their own were fighting, were they? Had they found out something? Or just too many shardin' wherries thrown in a barrel at once?

Would you kindly take us down?

With a soft trill, Erinaeth tucked her wings in and dove towards the ground, picking a place that was not so heavily occupied.

S'dekai and Pioth - Defending against Tatath
HP: 11/65
Defense: 1d8+3
Accuracy: -6

10 - 9 = 1 damage

---

If she doesn't know yet - she just got here - maybe we could convince her to help..?

It was a last-ditch effort, and a long shot. S'dekai and Pioth both knew it. But it wasn't like they could hurt anything by asking now. An astute observation as always, Pioth bespoke Erinaeth. Perhaps you could assist in keeping Tatath off us while we sort this out?

Arlii and Erinaeth sort of attacking Tatath

Ah, my darling? Pioth requests us to hold Tatath off so they can sort out... whatever is happening? Erinaeth stretched, digging her talons into the ground. The excitement of a battle was making her eager to jump in.

Arlii didn't respond right away, taking in the scene and noting which dragons were here, which were down, and those that were fleeing. One Gold was down. One was the Pale Queen she was positive came from their side. And the small one... the Benden runt. The one, if her information was accurate, that's rider supported those shaffing ideas of Aytpicals being unwanted and better off dead in their shells!

Fine. We'll assist them. But I want a shot at that runt Queen too.

As you wish. Erinaeth sprang into action, running at the Green. Forgive me, Tatath, but I think you should not attack one or our own? Which was exactly what she was doing... wasn't it? Perhaps you could tell us what is the meaning of all this?

Tatath Defending Against Erinaeth

But he is not one of our own! He has turned traitor to the Wherhold. He conspires with the rogue gold and her allies. Tatath hissed. Unprepared for the attack, she ducked but was still hit by Erinaeth.

Moving back, she glared angrily at Pioth.

S'dekai and Pioth - PEACE OUT FAIL

Now's our chance to -

I'm not going to run away while Erinaeth is trying to help us, S'dekai. Pioth turned a mildly reproachful eye onto his rider. That's underhanded and unfair to her - she'll be branded a traitor for helping us escape.

Oh for Faranth's sake Pioth!

Tatath Attacking Pioth

Trying to work her way around the crimson dragon, the sleek green dared another attack. She wiggled and aimed her claws at whatever part of the bronze she could get them on.

Erinaeth. Who do you follow?

With his fellow wher successfully defended Harmonsk spun around and galloped towards the remaining knot of fighters. His handler was going for a muscular female dragon and he joined her in her assault with a snarl, launching himself at Berath's thick neck with jaws gaping and claws extended.

Acriculeth - Attacking Sunnath
HP: 58/65
Attack: 1d10+3
Accuracy: -6
Damage: 13

Ah, reinforcements, they would deal with the green. Acriculeth sent a mental chuckle along to Firith and launched himself at Suunath again, going for her back legs. If he could wound her badly enough there she would have trouble taking off to escape as the other Trine gold had just done.

Berath - Attacking Acriculeth
HP: 17/50
Damage: 2d4+2
Accuracy: -6

Suddenly she was surrounded. Two humans drove long knives into her and she couldn't, couldn't fight against them. The mighty green bellowed in pain and tried to move away from them, back towards the bronze dragon she had been fighting, but before she could reach him a bronze wher sprang at her. Its talons dug deep into her shoulder, it sank its fangs into her neck and held fast. Berath screamed again and shook the beast off, causing deeper tears in her flesh.

the green cried to her allies. Escape back to Trine, back to HerHealer. She could feel his pain and his fear, not for himself now but for her. He needed her, but she couldn't leave until she knew the others were escaping too.

Ignoring the pain from her wounds she lumbered towards Acriculeth again and bowled him over to drag him off Suunath's hind quarters, trying to find somewhere painful to sink her claws in the same motion but only managing to make light scratches in his hide.

Banshidheth attacking Pioth
18/70
7+5=12 damage

On second thought, perhaps interference was wise, now that Tatath was also under attack by the newly-arrived Erinaeth. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but there was the possiblity that she and Pioth had been working together. Regardless, the bronze should not be permitted to escape. The crimson could be dealt with after.

Forgive me for intruding, sister, but I find myself in need of a task, she sent to Tatath as she made her approach and clawed-grabbed at Pioth's back legs.

Suunath, defending against Acriculeth

Suuanth bellowed as Firith attacked her again, She turned to see Cephieth downed by the other Gold, she longed to help her sister Gold but as it was she was unable to break away from this fight. She was forced to defend a sudden attack from the Bronze, She hissed because she knew she was in no better shape that Cephieth but thread be damned if she was going to even try and flee. If she was going down, she'd take them with her if she could (or try anyway)

Unfortunately the Bronze dragon had his claws latched onto her hindquarters, her struggle to defend loosened them somewhat but She was done, she couldn't fight anymore, exhausted and dripping Ichor she crouched, panting as Berath tried to to attack the bronze attacking her.

"You have my thanks Berath, but even you cannot defend against the Wherhandlers, please retreat, the Weyr needs your strength and compassion Brave Berath!" She said quietly to Berath alone as she tried to catch her breath.

Incoming B'nas and Brown Milnth

When the alert came in B'nas ignored it mostly, he had no allegiance to this Weyr even if they HAD taken he and his fellow loyal Benden people. He didn't even bother to hurry. It wasn't until a small blue returned with Kindra that he got worried. That meant that her Gold was still battling against who knew how many traitors, human, dragon and Wher alike. This would not do. Milnth snarled and landed near to his Weyr, Fidgeting as B'nas fastened his riding gear, urgency in his movements now. He mounted up and they took off in the direction of the Hold that housed the renegade Gold.

Also M'lan and Brown Asoth

M'lan hadn't been present for the initial alert, they'd been scouting elsewhere. they returned as the injured began to come in, Still in the air they asked one of the incoming dragons what happened and recieved the information on what was going on at the Hold where the young Gold resided. While he didn't particularly want to fight, M'lan didn't think they had much of a choice, they HAD to defend Trine's interests. He saw another Brown vanish Between and asked Asoth to get the visuals, then they too went Between, appearing high above the Hold.
