"We'll see, the object test is just to make sure it's safe, the real test depends on what he sees or feels," Miyuki murmured with a slight sigh.
If he was aware of the passage of time, or anything of that sort, then he wasn't being held in stasis, which was important. They kept their Pokemon in balls in times where it would be safer and it could be for long periods of time depending on where they were.
"By the way, Kyrie said that electricity can be used to start someone's heart if they get something called a heart attack, but she also said it can stop the heart if someone was got a good zap too."

Andarien was surprised by that bit of information.
"Huh," he grunted, looking down at Zeus. The Jolteon was scratching the back of his neck with his back leg, much like a dog, but he paused when Andarien looked at him and looked back up at his master questioningly.
Andarien pursed his lips. "Well, I guess we're going to have to be careful with you," he told Zeus. "But on the other hand, you'll be great when we need defending."

Miyuki nodded, "If I remember correctly..."
Because it had been many years since then and a whole stage or two ago when it happened. Miyuki found as she grew stages, some memories became fuzzy after a while.
"River has the ability to use electricity as well, not that we knew it at the time, and you were really little, but she shocked this one boy and he just fell over. He was fine afterwards, but it gave everyone a good scare. Maybe when Shiro is better we should ask what electricity does to the body."
She paused a hummed a bit.
"Kyrie says that the heart beats because of little electric signals, so maybe that applies to other parts of the body?"

Andarien was impressed - if a little awed. "That would be frightening to find out the hard way," he murmured. "Yeah, we really should ask Shiro."
He looked around. "Everyone is up now, I bet Shiro's awake and just not allowed out of his tent or something. Shall we ask him now?"
He didn't want to forget, and he didn't want to start something else now and have to interrupt it later to ask Shiro.
"Or did you want to keep going with the Pokeball first, and get that done?" he added as an afterthought. After all, if he didn't want to have to stop something, maybe Miyuki wouldn't either. Or maybe she was nearly finished. He had no idea.

"I still have a bit left to finish," Miyuki admitted.
It felt like it was taking forever, but then again, with the amount of detail that was required, it probably was taking forever.
"You can go on and ask," she offered, "And tell me later."
There was no reason to hold him back in asking questions.

"Sure," Andarien agreed. "Though I have a feeling Kaito is going to put me to work."
He sighed. He was making progress with his new weapons, it was true, but it required a lot of concentration, and he still wasn't overly good, even at the most basic things.
"I'll see you later," he told her, and he headed towards Shiro and Kaito's tent. Zeus looked at his master, then looked at Miyuki, and then looked back at Andarien; and then he hopped to his feet and ran after Andarien, following along at his heels.

"See you later," Miyuki grinned before going back to finish her work.
She felt a bit sorry for Andarien, Kaito was, ironically, a hard taskmaster. It was no wonder why her mother often muttered that Kaito was full of contradictions. Fortunately, she wasn't alone for long.
Since everyone else was up, it also meant Ai had come to keep her company, along with the eevee.
"I really do need to name you," she murmured to the baby, "It wouldn't be fair to wait until you evolved. So something less specific than Zeus' name."

"Why not name him based on something about his personality for now, rather than what he may grow into, since you don't know that yet?" came a voice from behind Miyuki. It was Wren, who was taking a break from watching the lunch as it was cooking, and letting Iorlas take over for a while.
"I mean," she added, "if it's going to end up being changed anyways ..."
She shrugged.

"Well..." Miyuki murmured, "That's actually good idea, since I would rather not change his name even after he grows."
After all, they didn't do that for Eon and Ai, why do that for the baby eevees. It was just Zeus didn't have a name before he evolved. Though that still left the question of what to call him.

Wren chuckled softly. "There you go, then," she grinned. "So, how would you describe him?"
He was small, brown, furry, and cute - and that was about all Wren knew about him. But then, she hadn't paid much attention to the Pokemon - she spent more time usually asking Kyrie about the land around them.

Miyuki thought about it, before looking at the eevee. Like all eevees, he was cute, almost overly so. He was quiet now that she thought about it, and tended to cling to Ai like the way a shy child would. He just didn't seem interested in going off on his own, which was why he wasn't with Zeus when Zeus got zapped.
"Shy," she finally replied watching the eevee huddle around Ai's legs, "And quiet."

Wren tilted her head slightly.
"Well," she mused aloud, "can you think of any names that have a meaning like that? Or words that could be used as names?"
She was aware that Miyuki had a handful of languages that she could draw from, though she would readily admit that she didn't know how many languages Miyuki knew.

Miyuki put a finger to her lip and thought about it. Then began to randomly draw kanji in the air. She was probably more familiar with Japanese names than Elven ones, and Japanese had the unique quality of having several meanings depending on how it was written.
She didn't want the name to be long, or complicated since other people would have to be able to call him.
"Yasu," she finally replied, "Written as peaceful. I was going to say Yasushi as written as quiet, but I want other people to grasp it as well and being quiet as he is, he is peaceful."
Though docile might be the better term, but she couldn't come up with a good name with the word docile.

"Yasu," Wren repeated slowly, feeling the word out on her tongue. "It feels good."
She grinned down at the little Eevee. "What do you think, little one? how do you like your name?"
It had been quite a while since the creature had hatched, it was more than time he finally got a name.

The newly named Yasu yipped at that question, coming out from behind Ai to gently snuggle against Miyuki's leg. He was quite happy with it, and liked the meaning to the name.
Miyuki chuckled at that and petted him, "I'm glad you like it."
