Marta was beginning to panic as her body continued to not respond to her commands; suddenly she felt her Overcharge whirring to life; green-tinted energy flooded her mainframe abruptly before shutting off, only to flare once more. Uncontrolled, without her bidding, it sent pulse outwards, making the grass shoot up suddenly, to wither, only to grow once more... The constant fluctuations were beginning to grow painful- so she changed her tact rather then focusing on her body, on what still was hers, her mind... Well acquainted with the corridors of her sub-conscious (as per the training under her human telepath's tutleage,) She scurried down to where her own brain was and where the machine began, desperately trying to find someway to shut it down- The veins of energy were stretched to the maximum, threatening to explode; she was in danger of a full on reactor meltdown- A solution went on like a flashbulb in her mind and she returned to the waking world; instead of resisting, she opened the floodgates to the stored energy. Instantly, the grass spread out from her in a sweet smelling curtain, tiny white bell-flowers grew and curled their proud heads; the sweeping wave of growth hit a tree nearby instantly causing it to swell proudly, the few leaves on its branches multiplying instantly, the branches shooting upwards- She poured it on till every last drop, her breath heaving and just as she could feel her biotics begin to shut down to switch to her natural energy, she slammed the floodgates shut once more. The plants withered slightly, but her newly spurred growth did not deteriorate, enriched by the sheer massive amount of energy she had poured into it. Her whole body heaved, twitched in renewed pain, but the pressure was gone. With a grunt, she rolled over onto her belly, swearing loudly. "Well that was fun." she huffed. Pure exhaustion filled her, making even the idea of getting to her feet distasteful. She glanced up at her leader and tapped her paw against her foreleg discreetly, requesting a silent meeting.

We will discuss later. she offered, before slamming the mental walls back up and severing the link. Marta's eyes were still glazed and her limbs still trembled violently. They would have time for a private discussion later, right now she was still dangerously close to shock. "You need to rest. Can you move to the shaded area?" Frost asked quietly, leader-like concern in her voice.

Rail laid his ears back lowering his head and looking away. If they knew, would they turn on him? He wasn't willing to risk it. He liked this group better than the two he met awhile ago. Thinking quick he perked back up and looked at the girls "sends the girls running and shows what ladies are worth being around" He leaned into one should and gave a genuine smile to Ember and Thorn. Nodding his head to Frost he went to move Marta and soon the grass shot up under him, throwing him off balance as he tried to jump away from it but only landed on it again. After awhile of things rapidly growing and dieing back down again Marta seemed to feel better again. As she spoke his rump wagged with the intensity of his tails. He nuzzled her cheek out of instinct before jumping back and laying down quickly. He looked up at everyone with his head in the grass.

Ember watched as Frost soon came over and assessed Marta, seeing what might be wrong with the wolf. She jumped back a little when the wolf was glowing on and off, the grass around her grew a little also then died. Blood pumped really fast through the wolf, Ember could hear and smell she was in shock and panic.
As she took a cautious step forward her leg flinched and she forgot about her bandaged up leg. A sudden drop in Marta's blood pressure alerted her, and she remembered feeling this before when the wolf would go into full Overcharge. Quickly pulling her leg up as Marta glowed a bright green and the plants around began to blossom and grow. Ember did admit to herself, she was always fascinated by this wolf's power over the plants.
Smiling as the wolf rolled over a little and spoke slightly, her blood was pumping at a regular pace now, but it's better to be safe than sorry. She jumped a little when Rail came up and nuzzled Marta's cheek and then hides in the grass. Rolling her eyes she walked up to Rail and nudged him a little on the side, being careful of Colt of course; he seemed to be an okay wolf. Though when she had asked about his howl she swore she could feel his blood pump a little with fear, but it was a slight second. "Come on we're going to the shade." Ember decided she would ask more personal questions later...when they're more alone so he doesn't have to tell everyone quite yet.

Rail assisted Marta to a shaded spot, even if her pride was to high to accept the help he could tell she would still like the attention. He gave her a half opened eyed smile that was both flirty and asking if she was okay. Once the wolf was comfortable he turned to bow to the acting alpha before slinking off away from the others. His heart raced as he fought his inner demon. It was not allowed to surface and he cut it close as they were already raising questions. Colt came down from the tree and sat on the wolf's shoulder as it curled into itself unsure how to answer questions that were sure to come up.

Ember accompanied them to the shade of the tree, and watched as Rail slunk away after making sure Marta had got into the shade of the tree. She walked a little in his direction and listened to his blood, it raced, like as it if was fighting something. Staring at him, she swore it was the same feel she had gotten last night before they fell asleep.
Wanting to get closer, but decided it was best not to, she stopped half way between them. Having her back to the rest of the pack and her eye on Rail. Her fur ruffled lightly in the wind, and her head went up a little to feel it, taking in a deep breath. Closing her eyes as she sat out in the sun...though it was something she hated doing, other times she enjoyed it mildly until it caused her blood to dry. Ember's ears stayed locked on Rail, so she could hear any of this sudden movements and the pulses of his blood.

Rail lifted an ear when he noticed someone had fallowed. His chest hurt with the invisible pain of shoving the darker side down. Though he knew if treated right the demon part of his mind could be controlled but with a wounded member he highly doubted the pack would be able to take that chance. Calming down he watched the grass dance in the wind, he tried to remember his family, back before he had to run from the city. He knew they were all dead but couldn't shake the feeling of being wrong. He took some slow calming breaths before sitting up and looking over his shoulder(the one Colt wasn't sitting on) to see Ember not far off. He knew she would be the one to fallow him. Wither it was due to curiosity or alpha orders he didn't know. He was sitting on his tails already and lowered his head, ears fell back against his head. Horns gleaming in the direct sunlight as his long-furred pelt moved with the winds. He turned his head to look away from her stare.

Ember's ear twitched when she heard his heart beat slow down to the rhythmic thump-thump. Her head came back down and she looked to Rail as he had stood up and looked at her now. She watched as he sagged his head and ears droop, then look away from her. Sensing there was something wrong, she decided to go in and check. Once you get to know her Ember could become a big worry wolf...well sometimes, she mostly just shows her kind side a lot more often.
Walking up to Rail she came up with something funny, she decided she would tease him a little, like what he does. Coming up next to him she stopped and mirrored him, making the same expression he was. "So remind me what's so funny about this?" Ember asked with a funny yet confused face after a minute of silence.

His mind spun trying to find the right thing to say but couldn't come up with anything fast enough. His body easily moved to a played pounce pose. "Aww don't look so sad little lady," his voice held a country tone like in the moving boxes. Rear legs coiled and launched him up and over her. Her landed on the ground and turned to playfully tackle her, head up and with his chest and forelegs to bump her over. "Oh no! Your covered in fur!" he held the odd accent as he exclaimed the obvious. He began nipping and lightly tugging at her fur without pulling any out. {edit = Colt flew into the trees when Rail moved}

Ember looked at him stunned for a minute when he got down in a crouch, for a minute she thought he was going to attack until she saw the happy playful expression on his face. One of her ears dropped when he told her to not look so sad, "Sad...I don't look sad." But it was the truth, she had a blank expression on her face, rarely does she ever get happy.
He suddenly jumped over her and then turned around and tackled her to the ground. Barking a little in surprise, as she pawed at him a little with her forelegs. She couldn't help but laugh at his comment of her being covered in fur, it's been so long since Ember laughed...happily. Another giggled erupted from her mouth as he nipped at her playfully, it sort of tickled. "Hahaha, no that tickles."
Deciding to turn the tables she pushed a little against him, until she had knocked him over to the side and began to n** at him. Then with another n** she pulled away and ran back a few feet, a big smile on her face. No happiness.

Thorn went and got the water as she was instructed. This other wolf seemed to know what she was doing. While she was getting the water she heared Marta mummble something and she smiled that atleast she was getting better and now well enough to talk and move. Thorn placed the water beside Marta after Rail had helped her move. She asked if the wolf was of before retreating, giving Marta her space. After everything had started to settle down an awful feeling went through Thorn's entire body. And she could hear a wolves heatbeat increase to the point where she thought it might burst. But then it returned to normal and she could hear Rail and Ember play fighting. She decided to ignore their play fighting and look for that bird again. Was it still in Rail's fur? Even while they were carrying on? She wanted to smell the bird a bit more... It still smelt strange to her and she wanted to try and pin point the smell.

"Frost, we gotta talk. Now." Marta growled silently, as the others drifted off after her apparent seizure. She still felt too tired to even stand, her body shivering.

Rail smiled happily back at her. He sat down as his mind wandered, smile still across his maw. With the lack of focus Colt fell from the tree as the corruption tried to take the mind over. The deception image of the white bird would falter as the grungy grey colors began to show through. The bird squealed and screeched in pain, its voice strangled with the strange grinding sounds its warped throat wanted to make. It turned past Thorn straight at Rail. Horns, spikes, and bones sticking from its skin weighed the bird down as the imaging failed and no longer held. The strange noises brought Rail back to earth and his head turned just in time to see the crazed bird taking flight and aiming at him. He ran and met the bird with a jump. His jaws locked around the form as he mumbled a sorry to the girls around. His legs moved and the duo disappeared into the trees. He had to take the bird away to make a reconnection, he had to keep them safe from any harm the mad animal could do. Plus he needed to correctly feed soon. He felt the girls would fallow him so he needed to work fast with the bird to get him under control once more. He made a mental note not to let his head get away from him again. He would have to watch it. Thankfully once connected with an altered if there is a falter in the link the afflicted would go after him first.

Ember smiled at him as she let him go and they sat up, the smile on his maw making her smile even more happier. Suddenly an altered smell caught her attention and she looked up at the bird with an angry glare and a growl. She could see the difference in the bird, something had happened between Rails link with the bird.
Before she did something to the bird, Rail had snapped up and the bird and caught it in mid air then ran off. She barely heard the muttered sorry around the feathers as he ran a far distance away, into the group of trees.
Of course needing to keep an eye on him, she chased after him, but stopped on the outskirts not wanting to intrude. Ember looked away sadly, and whispered to herself, "I'm sorry, its my fault." A feeling of complete emptiness and broken went through her body. No belonging.
