Magic the Gathering isn't however. Plenty of magical artifacts with bite to them. I just have to look through my collection and pick a few that'd fit in.

Fair enough.
Then again you're looking at the guy who has no qualms with considering adding in dot-hack-verse Spells on board if possible as long as they fit in with the overall world and stuff. Potter-world and dot hack common grounds aside I mean, this is aside from that bit.
Artifacts done. I just need to be artsy about it now.
All artifacts have stories, three of which are directly related to CHB.

According to what some guy or another said, if someone bathes in dragon's blood they would have to focus and have one area of vulnerability, otherwise there's no way to assure one's own survival if they were to bathe in the blood of even so much as a Wounded Dragon, let alone a Slain Dragon.
Think of it as being like bathing in the River Styx more or less if that makes sense.

I guess Hermion said that. But I think its the same as unicorn matter. To have a totally original story I prefer to put aside the immortality or immunity ideas. I would rather find a new hybrid of dangerous creatures or a weapon or something that can reveal a plot.

If not spiders, there's always angry centaurs..or very hungry birds. I'd imagine the kind of life in there is actually much bigger then most forests.
