The thing in front of her was getting a bit closer than she liked. Her eye twitched as Calliope dove in to swipe at it, and missed. Growling, she raised her pistol sword and couldn’t stop herself from yelling as the blade of her weapon glowed, “Crashing Bolt Stream CAN YOU JUST DIE ALREADY???”

Well, that was a fine how-do-you-do. At least there had been a little progress in making new friends but it still didn't seem like any time at all to get the other few 'w's' sorted and figured out. (At least, yeah, new friends. So many more girls popping and waking up all around them. They were like a small army, awesome).
Ridley's rust colored eyes snapped in the direction she heard that familiar voice from, the one that woke her up. Her fingers curled around the edges of her large book, tighter - not realizing she had closed it and brought it in to her chest. Her breathing hitched and she could feel her body shake at the mention of a fight. Fear, not that kind that he had mentioned, no... excitement was more like it. A purpose. Maybe that had been her wish, it was on the tip of her tongue, she could feel it.
But right as the monster seeped into the area, looming over them all. Ridley began to wish she had a chance at another wish. Like, maybe having a better weapon. All around her, she watched as the other girls went at the giant shadow with spears, claws and swords. And what was in her hands? A book. A stupid book she wouldn't even read.
"Aaw, man!" This so sucked so hard!
Ridley chucked the book at the big monster, it hit with a thwack and then just bounced off like it barely did anything at all.

Just as Thalia was about to dodge back to a safer distance, she felt something suddenly strike out at her, sending her stumbling backwards with a pained gasp. Squeezing her eyes shut, she automatically lifted a hand to clutch at her shoulder, crouching down as she willed the pain to fade. After a moment, she gingerly reached back to brush her fingers against the spot that had been struck, noting with some unease that the area had suddenly gone numb.
She felt her stomach churn with fear, but the sensation disappeared a moment after, leaving her more confused and concerned more than anything. Slowly, she pushed herself back onto her feet and turned in search of the other girls she had acquainted herself with. However, what caught her eye was not her newfound allies, but a strange, wispy black substance that seemed to be coming...from her? From her back, to be more specific.
And the same stuff was seeping out of her pocket where she had tucked away the egg-shaped gem too. A quick look determined that the delicate pink was now marred with a number of cracks decorating its surface, but she was quick to tuck it back into her pocket before she stared at it for too long.
She looked back and began to scan the crowd again, brows creased. "Kleio, Lyra! Joce? Alvar--where are you guys? Are you all okay?" There was also the nervous girl who had blurt out a greeting earlier--Thalia didn't know her name, but regardless, she hoped that she was in one piece as well.
For now, it was probably best if she stayed out of the fight. The strike she had taken--and the strange black wisps--had shaken her some.
"Hah! This beasty is no match for us, yes?" she said rather cheerfully while running about. Tatiana fired off two shots this time as she moved around the creature, kiting around it essentially. As she did this, she had a rather cool grin upon her features. This was a pretty easy thing to do, to say in the least.
She couldn't remember where she learned to fire a gun, but apparently, she knew well enough how to fight. This was a very good thing.
And as she spun to a halt the wind around her slowing to a bit of a halt, she fell into an almost impressive pose. One chakram above her head triumphantly as if she expected the beast to fall over in a classic anime style, the other on her hip. Yes, the somewhat meek girl looked every bit the magical heroine any young lass could look up to.
Or as least for a moment. Then she felt something linger closer. Just as she turned, possibly intending to block it, she felt her balance leave her as a tendril of darkness swept along the ground and knocked her from her feet. A few seconds turned into an eternity as she felt herself slip closer to the thing, enveloped in a sweet flowery smell before it darted off to it's next victim. She blinked, disoriented as she stumbled backwards away from it, shaking her head confused. It was as if she'd been floating, perhaps in her own empty memories a moment before she found herself again. The battle raged on, but still, even now... she...
What was that?
She stared at a dark crystal she'd received in the fight, tilting her head as she rolled it briefly before looking up as the long eared being spoke again. It fixed her core? She quickly tugged out the thing and looked at it. Sure enough, there was a small crack now. But... "If it is valuable... perhaps I should save it? I can still fight?" She offered, a weak smile tugging at her face as she shifted her gaze to the others. "Or perhaps... they may need it." Some were certainly to be less lucky than her, overlooked for the most part as she was.
And then the question, her gaze fell on the thing as it seemed to stare expectantly at her. "I... what do I..." She blinked, tears forming in her eyes again as she clutched at her arms, the chakrams discarded as her slides after slipping to the floor. "I... I wished for someone else... I was afraid. Loneliness... I was going to lose someone important." She couldn't recall the details, it was beyond her. All she knew was that it was to save someone. "Something... something I couldn't live without. I wished for that." At least... that was what she thought. All she could think about since coming here was losing them. Her new friends, her old ones. Certainly, if she was to wish for anything. It would be the safety and return of those she cherished beyond all else. That... that had to be it. "I believe that?"

"Frozen Scepter Crush!" her bo glowed red and her fear built into it. Ice formed on the end and she shot it in the form of spikes at the thing. It looked really cool. Too bad she kinda missed a lot, and maybe made a mess on the floor. Oops.

The voice came to her once more and Lyra stood up, hand moving to the lantern on her side. Her wish? Had she made a wish? What was it? Was it something important? Riches? Fame? Glory? She shook her head and focused on the thing ahead of her. There was no time for wishful thinking. She pulled the lantern off her side and was surprised to discovered it was glowing. The light seemed to call to her and she held her hand out to the lantern, opening the little glass door. Instantly, the light jumped into her hand. It enveloped her and she eyed the monster for a split second before throwing a portion of light at it.
It hit hard; her aim was off by the tiniest bit, but it was enough for her to make some damage. She turned to Thalia and gave a smile. "Guess it's time to see how well we can fight, huh? Good luck!" and with that she was off, circling the monster while preparing for her second attack.

"Wish?" She repeated the word, uncertain of what the small creature spoke of. She had no recollection of such thing. Perhaps the others did though. Unfortunately, her question would have to wait. Before she could ask any of the three girls standing by her about it, something else appeared. Something large, shadowy, and well... she was pretty sure it wasn't someone late to the gathering.
"Huh, I take it this is that other Fear he mentioned?" She mused, while summoning a large black scythe and paying little attention towards the black tendrils. Either way, it looked as though a fight was pretty much guaranteed at this point.
Once the weapon was fully formed, Isabelle gave the weapon a test spin, before joining the others and rushing towards the large mass of shadow. Once close enough, she swung the scythe around in an wide arch, before bringing it down and into the shadow itself.
Oh - whoops! Maybe Cassandra shouldn't have just stood there staring mutely.
She stepped out of the way hurriedly to allow a girl with a gun pistol to take her place - but not without a rather observant comment. "It's not like I put it there! I mean, um. I did put it there, but I didn't choose it!" Yeah, that was totally convincing.
Cassandra turned back to the matter at hand, though, which was lobbing the boomerang back at the scary thing. It was a lot closer, now, so Cassandra thought that was an excellent reason it didn't hit nearly as well - it was the blunt end that glanced off the thingy this time, and at an angle, too. It was just so scary! And also ugly. She stuck her tongue out at it, though, as her boomerang returned back to her.

"Now is time to finish ze job! Prepare to meet your doom! BULLET STORM!" she shouted before leaping up into the air, flipping in the process. Her jump took her soaring over head of the monster with her cape fluttering dramatically behind her as she moved. All the while, Tatiana was unloading shot after shot into the enemy at hand.
Unfortunately, she needed to practice a bit with this rather flashy maneuver. While she fired off a great amount of shots, not too many hit this time around. In any case, she landed on the other side of the creature with a relative amount of grace.
Warm-colored eyes widened as one of its tendrils lashed out toward her. Arms still raised above her head, she sucked in a breath while hastily shuffling backward. Unfortunately, Calliope could still feel the tentacle brush her slightly as she attempted to escape. She blinked as a floral fragrant suddenly filled her nostrils. The girl took in a deep breath to take in the scent. Once she was out of range, she leaned forward to catch her breath.
Brows knitted together while a sleeve-covered hand lightly touched her temple. Was it her, or were things focusing in and out? She shook her head wildly before she stubbornly held her chin high. She was fine. Perfectly fine.
Meanwhile, she quirked a brow at the girl with a shell on her back. "Oh." Calliope didn't appear convinced. "...You sure about that?" She crossed her arms, her hip popping out as she leaned on one leg.

Watching the shield do a wide arc after cutting through a few more tendrils, she raised her hands once more, almost on instinct, and managed to catch it once more, with a little less effort. Panting slightly, she gripped the shield tightly, and eyed the figure. That familiar said that if they could stop the uprising, they would save many lives. She still didn't know what her wish was, but she did know what she wanted to do right now.
She wanted to protect others.
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, concentrating her FEAR. The shield emitted a soft glow, slowly growing brighter and brighter.
When her eyes finally opened, they burned with a fierce determination, and she took a step back, planted her feet firmly on the ground. Twisting her body, she pulled her arms back as far as it would physically allow her, and twisting back, tossed the shield with all her might.
"BLAZING SUN GLORY!!" The shield ignited into flames, but it seemed she tossed with a little too much enthusiasm, so while it soared at a high speed, its trajectory was... slightly off, and only managed to singe a single tendril.
With her combo finished, Tatiana turned to see how well she did with her foe. That rather flashy performance with her attack apparently had garnered the attention of the creature. She barely had any time to react as the thing descended upon her far too quickly, and before she knew it, something sharp had pierced into her body with an audible SCHNK.
There was no cry of pain. Just a dull expression staring down to see what was protruding from her chest. A few drops of crimson blood fell to the floor where she stood before she dissipated on the spot. It was a brief thing. Her fear had fallen apart, only to be pulled back together in nearly an instant. Staggering as she came back together, she stared towards the ground. Her violet eyes remained dulled out as she felt incredibly numb.
What was a wish? Did such things matter at this point? Perhaps she should try and figure this out, but she felt so incredibly...
Tired.
She didn't even notice the fact that her red gem was horribly cracked with black mist leaking out of it at an alarming rate. There Tatiana stood, unsteadily for a time.
This time she clipped the lantern to her belt and held her other hand out. More light enveloped and she let two orbs fly through the air towards the beast. They hummed as they soared; leaving a burning trail of light and sparkles. Huh. They looked a bit like.. falling stars.
Her aim was off and only one of the balls managed to hit but it was better than none hitting at all.

Standing around the other girls didn't make her feel any more at ease when that stupid black cat thing started talking again. While Milo trusted what it was saying, at the same time she really didn't understand who had gone and died and crowned it King.
Milo glanced back at the small ring of girls, and then over at Hestia one last time, wondering if she should ask someone's opinion --
-- when suddenly a gigantic, terrifying shadow appeared, with creepy, writhing tendrils poking out of its black mass. "Oh my god!" Milo squeaked, immediately yanking her shortsword out from its leather hilt. The snowflake charms flailed wildly as she grabbed the weapon, and held it out in front of her with both shaking hands.
"What -- what!" she squeaked again. "EW! Omigod! OMIGOD!!"
The other girls around her were surging towards it without any hesitation whatsoever. Milo was trying not to start crying. What was wrong with these people?! Sure, she'd promised to fight, or something like that -- and she had this cool weapon and outfit... but she didn't think she'd have to fight something like... something like... THAT!
Yet even as she thought that, her body seemed to be moving for her, as though it remembered far more accurately than her mind did. Milo yelped as she jumped through the air and swung the sword in her hands down hard towards the shadowy blob ahead.
