Well I guess that's probably because I rarely encounter Filipinos here in gaia and most of my friends and gaians I have encountered are from western countries like America. Anyways, I'm glad that I have a fellow Filipina in this guild. smile

Actually, there's a couple of Filipina here in the guild.
But yeah, a lot of users come from those areas... I think I'm the only one among my peers who use Gaia, so it's understandable smile
That goes the same for me too. I'm the only one among my circle of friends who uses gaia. But I do know that there are a few of my high school classmates who has gaia accounts. I just don't know if their still using it though.

Yeah, I do have some of those high school friends as well. Although I think they're more active in zOMG and in the rally than in guilds or forums.
Some of my peers now think that this is too childish... maybe because of the avatar concept and everything, they look like cartoons.

Well, we can't blame them. I mean, we're already both in college so the people around us might be expecting that we should be more interested with related matters in the real world than getting hooked with virtual or fantasy things.

That is true. But what they don't realize is that Gaia's not really just for kids. In all essence, it's pretty much like Facebook, but with a twist. And to be honest, right now, I find Gaia a lot more enjoyable than Facebook because you don't get to be your true self there.

Uh-huh, gaia is a lot more enjoyable and a good place to socialize than facebook. Personally, I think that is because you are free to talk to everyone even though most of them are complete strangers to you. Unlike in facebook where you're only chatting with your friends and people you know always. It's very rare for you to talk with someone you haven't met personally or known.

That's true. Here, you're allowed to interact with the rest of the world, but at the same time, you're screened from it as well. I mean, it's kind of hard to do an identity theft here, unless of course, you're thick enough to give out everything about yourself. No pretenses here, just your pure and natural self.

The semester is almost over so my projects' deadlines are getting sooner. They're also haunting me now. I can't sleep without thinking about them sad . I'm currently taking BS Computer Engineering and hopefully I'll be able to graduate this May by passing all my subjects. wink
