As Sanctum interposed his white tentacles, the rockets began slamming into them. The ones that Sanctum grabbed and threw at each other detonated, causing even more rockets near them to detonate prematurely. This led to a spectacular array of explosions that criss-crossed in front of them, giving them temporary relief from the barrage. Shira's web managed to entangle three of the fighters. Unable to stop their momentum the fighters crashed into each other, causing one, huge ball of fire that spat out shards of flaming metal in every direction. Suddenly, the fighters broke off and pulled back, ceasing their assault. Then a noise could be heard from behind them.





The huge gunship hovered above the shark, keeping pace with the beast as its side doors opened. Figures began jumping out of the craft and landing on the shark, trudging determinedly through the wind towards Sanctum and Shira.



The Steelforge soldiers carried steam-powered rifles and promptly aimed them at the two. Over a dozen soldiers landed on the shark before the gunship closed its doors and pulled off. The soldiers opened fire, their guns hissing and whirring as they did so. The rounds streamed towards the two as the soldiers continued to advance upon them, never letting up.

Sanctum sighed, "I really despise you, shinigami girl. Your naivety is really disgusting." Sanctum would say as he noticed the soldiers coming their way, "Shinigami, if you are injured, why not ask me to heal you?" he asked. "The smell of your blood is intoxicating to a being like me. I could smell it instantly, you know that I have the power to save your life. Would you really not ask me to help you?" Sanctum said as he fired off multiple waves of energy at the incoming soldiers.

Sighing, Sanctum would walk over towards Shira and place his hand on her wound, "I would love nothing more than to kill you right now, but to my dismay, i can not, it may not look like it, but your precious fiance is desperately trying to fight back and regain his body." Suddenly, a white light would emit from his hand and begin repairing Shira's wound and restoring it to its original state. "I, like Despair am, just another part of Atticus, but unlike either of those two, I feel nothing for you. No, i wouldn't say nothing." Sanctum told Shira as he then stood up and placed his hand on her head, "I feel immense hatred towards you." Sanctum would then try to crush her head, but could not, due to Atticus interfering. "Such a waste, so much power and potential and yet he wastes it, by staying by your side. He has truly strayed from the path of the Demon King, but I will soon correct this as well."

Removing his hand away from her, Sanctum seemed to be in a foul mood, "Saving the life of an hated enemy. Shinigami, I do believe you owe me for that." Sanctum said as he started to walk away from her and soon exited the barrier, standing outside of it and confronting the enemies, "Shinigami swear to me, that you will fulfill my request, whatever it may be?" he shouted back to Shira as the soldiers soon surrounded him.

Sanctum didn't seem to like Shira's response to his earlier statement. "Shinigami girl, i do not like the way you speak to me. You do not dictate the terms of this agreement. I do." he told her as the soldiers started attacking Sanctum, who did nothing but allow them to severely injure him, "Speak to me with respect and honor or I will let this boy die. If he dies, my mind is free to take control of the body, so it wouldn't affect me." Sanctum said as he seemed to be serious in his threats. "I can not feel the pain, but Atticus can, right now he is screaming in agony."

A smirk would appear across, Sanctum's face followed by a low chuckle. "Child, do you think I am a fool. Your words are hollow to me. You have yet to show me that you will truly do as I say." Sanctum said as blood began to drip from his mouth, "You are running out of time and so is Atticus, his body my be strong, but if his guard is down like now, even he won't be able to last long."

Suddenly the same white tentacles would protrude Sanctum's body and knock back the soldiers. Turning around to face Shira, he would have a cold look in his eyes, "Swear your allegiance to me and only me." he said as he would mimic the Sanctum that appeared in the future. "Swear your life to me, you will become my servant and do whatever I ask of you, no matter the circumstances. That is what you shall do and if you agree, you will get on your knees and swear it. Only then will I release my control over this boy." Sanctum demanded as he leaned down and stared into Shira's eyes, "That is a fair enough price for the life of your loved one, is it not?"
