It felt almost as if there was one calling to her, begging for her to take it into her arms, but she couldn't place it. Each artifact she touch very nearly repulsed her, despite her initial interest in their varying appearances.

There was no method to this madness.
Perhaps she should just let Svensyl decide for her. That made as much sense as all of this did. He was the least methodical creature in her grasp, which, of course, wasn't really saying much. It was just the two of them here, as far as she knew. Kostya would return soon, but that did her no good now.

It seemed that Svensyl was intent on picking for her anyway. Brows raised, she reached towards the one in front of her.

Rejection was not something Mimsy particularly enjoyed feeling over and over. Her fingers were shaking with frustration, and she was very ready to just give up, leave, and return with Kostya. He might have better luck than she was having.
But something caught her eye.
Something caught and held her eye, and she knew that she needed it.
She approached it with a gentle smile, thing fingers tapping one-two-three-four over its surface. The colors on the box matched the leggings that she wore, as if it had changed itself to beckon her forth.
Or maybe it was destiny, in spite of her inability to believe in any of that nonsense.
Carefully, she pulled it from the place it had been resting for potential centuries, cradling it in the palms of her hands. She lifted it to get a better look at the container, a little laugh escaping her.
"You are mine," she murmured, possessively holding it to her chest.

At least they knew that there was a proverbial light at the end of this tunnel.
That made this slightly more bearable.
