Daniel looked at zoey and spoke as he still held the massive blade. " look at them do they look like more then beasts? But then again first argument with this group ends up on that pillar as well, no armor no shoes no weapons no abilities. That pillar strips a person down to nothing, its called a daggers edge fight. Those who step in and place the bottom of their foot on the daggers edge will beat one another till only one stands. those two have been beating each other for close to 17 hours now." Daniel kept looking at them as if it was normal for two people to beat each other like a side of meat.

Her pace slowed. "how have zhey not collapsed from exhaustion?" she asked him. the longest fight zoey had ever seen only lasted a few seconds so the thought of someone fighting for 17 hours confused her.

Daniel looked at her with strange almost living eyes. " they don't fight out of greed or want for them this fight is for honor for all that they are, this style of fighting and training was removed long ago because it wasn't uncommon for both fighters to die. But those two they are different sides to the same coin both fighting the honor of their respective side. but the longest tracked fight on that pillar was 96 hours straight those two have only managed to fight for 48 hours before breathing was weak and motor functions stopped for near on 3 days." Daniel sheathed the massive blade as it returned to its normal state Vyral resting. Daniels eyes then locked onto zoey. " you see on that platform a truth is revealed, no blade or bullet or even ability is as strong as the will of a fighter, this in of itself is what me and Vyral spoke of. As long as a warrior still draws in breathe it will fight not out of greed or want but out of a need, weather the need to protect or survive a warriors will is a stronger weapon then any that man or god can craft." Daniel was almost misty eyed as he watched the continuation of the battle on the pillar.

Zoey nodded. "so what are zhey fighting about?" she glanced over at Daniel before returning her attention back to the fight. when she looked at Daniel she noticed how his eyes seemed different.

daniel smiled. " those two are fighting over which flame is better, the black flame or the phantom flame." Daniel watched the constant trading of hits, the blood hitting the water.

"Interesting having both of them fighting on the most basic level." Cedrick said seeing the pillar "It seems rather ... civilized and orderly." He commented. The bark came again and he turned around to see a small light in the distance.

Daniel looked at kushin with a smile, it was almost as if he was trying not to laugh. " those two have battled over that same thing every week for the last 2 months. but to answer you its impossible, you couldn't finish a person off on that pillar after 10 hours your body is running on auto pilot that pillar was meant for hand to hand no dodging just who could handle the most pain but in the same breathe that pillar is dangerous a person can surpass their limits but could also die. " Daniel looked back at the continued beating

Zoey looked at kunshin then back at Daniel. she went to adjust her headphones but soon remembered she didnt have them. she put her hands behind her head. "do zhey always fight over zhe same zhing all zhe time?" she looked back up at the fight.

Daniel looked at zoey " Yes every week the same thing, its almost sad to think their first time on that pillar only lasted 2 hours. My students have come so far, they have come to know true pride and true honor." Daniel smiled as the two hit on another again.

Daniel looked at zoey with a closed eye smile. " 48 hours 37 minutes and 54 seconds, Took them 8 days to recover from their tired bodies me and vyral think had they gone much longer they would have died." The two still on the pillar continued the unending trading of hits
