We all have been pretty bad about posting lately. But this is the mods being proactive about kicking the stories into gear.

There are two key problems with how posting has been working. One, people have been getting skipped unfairly. Two, others are waiting too long on a post that they should skip.

So, here's our suggestion.

One. When posting, make a list of who all you need to respond to. Go back to your last post, and READ the posts up to the last one. Make a list of the ones that involve you - from those that mention your characters' names, to the ones that are simply in the vicinity of your character(s). As you write your post, make sure you respond to these. In the process of writing your post, you should realize someone is missing, if they haven't posted. This means, it's not yet your turn. Save your post, and give them a chance to respond. If you skip someone by accident, it is within our rights as moderators to take down your post, send it back to you and tell you to wait your turn.

There is absolutely no reason someone should be skipped by mistake. As mods, we actually copy the posts that involve us, and respond in that fashion. It keeps us from skipping people by accident. I'd suggest this as an alternative method if you've ever skipped someone and not meant to.

This said, if you've been waiting a week on someone to post... message them. Due to the fact that there are a number of people in the guilds, they might not realize it's their turn. A simple PM can do wonders to clear up this confusion - you can even ask the mods to prod them to post if you're worried about doing it yourself. We have no problem approaching people when necessary.

If two weeks has passed since the last post in your rotation, it is then the next person in the cycle's turn. They skip that post, and the cycle continues. Whoever was skipped can jump back in when they can, and this will be the new post order.

Also, please note. When a time skip is involved, we expect you to finish out your interactions. Just because someone has walked away does not mean the interaction is completely over. This is called "back posting." Don't waste someone's time and effort by disregarding their response back to you. Angel Reaver and Selena Luciana have excellent examples of back posting in their recent posts. (You need not do this to such a degree. She gets carried away. A lot. {the amount noted by Cliff} She apologizes, like 3/4 of an apology. It still makes for a good read. ) You need to finish out interactions or talk to the people you were writing with before automatically posting with a disregard to prior posts. If you were waiting before, and it's still within that two week grace period, you should still be waiting if you have not gotten approval from the person who owed you a post.

Please keep this in mind when making your posts in the future.
