Adrian Jones Adrian followed Illo around, not really knowing what they would need. "I should write home sometime. I bet my parents think I'm just doing homework and stuff not mountain climbing." He laughed slightly and followed Illo to the beginning of the mountain. Adrian looked up at Illo and nodded. "I'm ready Illo." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a hair tie. Adrian tied his hair back into a ponytail to avoid getting it in his face while they would climb and then gave Illo a thumbs up.

Illo"Of course. They'll be happy to know how strong you've become." Illo returned the thumbs up. Then they would head up the mountain, arduous climb that it was, at night no less. A couple miles up the trail a rustling could be heard. It followed them.
"Adrian... It looks like we have a visitor." A black bear was watching them from the bushes with dinner on its mind. "Don't be afraid."

Adrian Jones Adrian smiled and did his best to enjoy the 'hike' up the hill. After a few miles Adrian started looking tired but he knew he'd have to keep going. Adrian looked back and gasped. Most would expect the young boy to be scared but his open mouth turned into a smile. "Illo, Illo, I am very good with animals, all animals, well all welsh animals that I have met." Adrian kept his voice low. "If it approaches do not attack it please, okay?" He gave a smile and a thumbs up to Illo, hoping he would listen.

I suppose there's a bit more to him than I'd realized... Illo"Adrian... Are you sure?" Illo's incredulity wasn't misplaced. Black bears are still bears, after all. Sure, part of the exercise was to learn to face fear and to grapple with nature and emerge victorious as another machismo paragon, but it seemed a little sudden to be skipping to the end chapters.
"I'll leave it your hands," he whispered to play along. "I trust you." And therein lay Illo's training. He went so far as to take a seat, knowing either way he'd have to trust Adrian on this one; as it would be another five hours or so before he could use his power. No teleportation, no super telekinesis, nothing. It was like having a flight delayed, only the flight didn't have cramped leg space, terrible drinks, or that guy who thinks no one can hear him chewing when he has headphones in.

Adrian Jones Adrian nodded, glad Illo would trust him with this. He removed his ponytail and faced the rustling. Adrian took a deep breath, putting his hands to his sides. After a moment of silence he let out a loud whistle. The bear was clearly annoyed by this high pitched noise and came into sight, growling at Adrian. "Oh, he is big!" Adrian extended one of his arms out and closed his eyes. The bear started to rush at Adrian. As the bear got closer and closer to him Adrian was breathing deeply, keeping his hand extended to the bear. It looked like the bear was about to bit Adrian's hand right off but suddenly the bear stopped when Adrian's hand glowed white. His hair flowed in the wind and a low humming seemed to be coming from Adrian. The bear closed it's mouth and got low to the ground, seeming like he was about to take a nap almost. Adrian walked over to the bear's side, stroking it a few times before climbing on it's back. He looked over at Illo and smiled, giving him a small wave.

IlloSure, he was meditating, but that didn't mean Illo was deaf. He heard all the din and growl and came out of his sitting to look at Adrian, who was now riding a bear... RIDING A BEAR! He couldn't help chuckling to himself. If I'd known you were this talented I would have asked you to train me," he said with laugh. "Perhaps your friend can train with you."

Adrian Jones Adrian laughed when Illo chuckled. "It is fun but I do not like to take animals away from their homes, plus she is hungry." Adrian hopped off the bear and gave it a pat on the head. The bear seemed to give an approving growl before walking off to find other food. "She was nice, okay, so back to walking?" Adrian starting tieing his hair back again.

Illo"Ha, then the bear trusts you for a reason. Yes, we should get back to the hike. I'd like to get as far as we can before sundown." It was only a couple hours away, but this was a trek up a mountain. To think they could get to the summit in that time is a little much.
And the two hours passed like minutes. Around a third the way up they made camp. Along the way Illo asked if Adrian would be kind enough to identify each bear or wolf he could.
"How are you feeling so far?" Illo asked at the campfire.

Adrian Jones Adrian smiled at Illo. "I guess so." He nodded as Illo said their plan. Adrian hiked with him, a little sad they didn't see many more animals. "The wildlife in Wales is nothing like here. It is mostly just deer but they are fun to ride too." He did his best to remember the names of certain animals he'd read up on. Adrian sighed with relief when they reached their stopping point. He helped set up camp and did his best to get comfortable. "Hmm? Well I am a bit tired but I will be okay. I am enjoying it though! I do wonder though, about Lily, the umm, demon girl? I wonder how she is, I left very suddenly and it sounded like she was getting a deal with souls or something. Oh and that girl, Breanna." Adrian found himself thinking of others often whenever he had alone time with his thoughts so these thoughts had been swimming around in his head for awhile.

Lilith has servants now? I'll have to take note of that. Illo"Really," mused the monk. "I suppose when you can travel anywhere on Earth instantly you stop seeing the differences. As far as I know this is Wales." Later at the camp...
"Oh, that's right. You went to her realm, didn't you? What was all that like? I've heard stories from the other monks, but they said it would be deviating from my path to visit such a place." whatever that meant. Illo knew Lilith to have better things to do with her time than to terrorize anyone, so he wasn't particularly worried about their partnering, but it still interested him. Meanwhile, the campfire crackled out here and there as if it wanted in on the conversation but couldn't comprehend anyone not comprehending its language.

Adrian Jones Adrian smiled. "Yeah, not too many bears in Wales. If this was Wales I would love to go to some shops in my hometown." He nodded at Illo as he talked about Lily and her realm. "Well, it was very advanced, like umm, like new york or some place like that but more technologic?" Adrian spent most of his time in the hotel room in Lily's realm so he didn't have many mental images of the realm. "There were some nice people though, Lily has another partner I guess? Also she makes people out of souls, I don't know, it is all kind of strange to me be she swears she is helping people."

This doesn't sound good. How was I so misinformed? Illo(I hate to be that guy, but have you thought of any characters you wanna do in DxD? "People from souls...?" Illo's carefree face was taken by an ember and scattered like a whisper on a summer evening's breeze. I don't understand, he thought, why or how any of this could have happened, or, perhaps more importantly, how he hadn't known of it...
"You're sure of this? Putting souls back into bodies is... Well, it's very unnatural, to say the least." Illo wouldn't say it so bluntly, seeing Adrian's faith in Lilith. There was a kettle sitting above the fire. It too protested the new information. The fire stood still, waiting for Adrian to explain more of this situation.

Adrian Jones Adrian blinked. "Oh, well, it was not really a body, it looked like clay? There was a barrel and it spat out some clay and then a soul went into it and then went to work. Oh yeah!" He exclaimed as he remembered something. "She had this huge sort of tube full of souls, it just had a whole lot and I guess she uses them like that?" Adrian scratched his head, wondering why this could be bad since it looked like Illo was very concerned.

Illo"Clay... Interesting." He thought about it for a moment, listening to what Adrian has said, and after hearing about the soul tube decided he should say something.
"Making people from clay is something reserved for the Creator. Death may not appreciate souls being placed in such a number inside of empty vessels." What if Adrian was gaining new enemies from Lilith? "Lilith doesn't tend to make enemies, but if she has an operation like that she could have people looking to making enemies of her."

Adrian Jones Adrian nodded slowly, not sure how to feel. The whole thing made him feel weird when he was there, maybe there was a good reason. He looked down at the ground, feeling awkward. "Oh, I mean she did say that 'We do the things Death pretends to do' and that sounded weird to me, I am not sure what to do. Should I stay partners with her, should I move on and just hope she forgets about me?" Adrian looked at Illo. "I know I should find my own way to do things but what would you do Illo?"
