Her resolve finding her once more as she offered a quiet nod and a small quirk of a smile pulled at her lips, "Yes," she said softly working hard to not stutter or show anymore uncertainty. She'd wasted so much time just sitting there being afraid and unsure.

For all intents and purposes, Before had been listening to the conversations floating around the fallen Life Hunter's body. It didn't necessarily mean he understood or accepted any of them. Dead? Killzone? Dead? No. That wasn't. That can't be possible. The guy was built like a brick house and. He. He was supposed to be immortal! He. This. Who. They. How? HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW?
Vanna recognized that garbled, incoherent train of thought currently rampaging through her partner's mind. Calm, silly Before, calm. You know how you get like when something like this happens and you know I dislike you when you get like that.

Sasha gave the dog-like creature an interested look; there was no time for friendship borne of war. Killzone was gone, and her expression turned ugly when she thought about how it had happened. He'd given himself freely, everything he had. He'd sacrificed himself, and Sasha couldn't stand to see the sight of one of the monsters so close to Killzone's body. "Start with that one, Jerry," Sasha hissed before turning to Hazel. "Do you have any bandages left? I don't think we can afford more loss - would you mind following after the redhead there," Sasha pointed in Rep's direction. "He's got no weapon, our phone - and Killzone's weapon tablet." She wasn't giving an order - but she didn't want to lose the tablet, or Rep, for that matter. As she watched Jerry move back in to fight with something of a proud expression on her face, Sasha replied to Rin, "Look around you. It was something of a group effort, I guess you could say." Night too continued to chip away at the barrier, his FEAR building up on his gloves, blazing a bright green aura that just seemed...so unlucky.

Roch glanced back at Amphi, seeing how pale she looked, and gritted his teeth, bringing up his guitar again. He wasn't going to let them keep ANYONE else. Not when the exit was right in front of him. Rep just needed to put distance between himself and the disrespectful Halloween creature. He needed space to gather his wits. There would be time, all the time in the world to mourn Killzone if they survived, in the meantime he just had to keep the tablet safe. That was all that mattered.
His head ached from the tears, his body was weary from the fights he really shouldn't have taken on, and all through it all in the dim of the jungle he was aware of the glowing cuff in the periphery of his vision.
He slowed to a halt just as he heard the sharp bark of Roar behind him. As he looked back to see if it had hit the monster the way he hoped, he spotted Hazel. She got a very dejected, resigned look, his usual hostile walls nowhere to be found. He couldn't hide the pain, but he tried as he narrowed his eyes, it just looked hurt.
"Please tell me they didn't send you to babysit me. You are probably ******** needed on the front line."

Arriving at the barrier that the others were trying to break down, Petro cracked his knuckles, rolled his shoulders back, and grinned. Hazel caught up with Rep, but stayed close behind him. She hadn't noticed how distraught the guy was until she saw his face when he looked back at her. "I'm not here to babysit you," she replied, considering he was much larger than she was, in height and built. At first she was just following orders, but when she gazed at the weapon tablet for a moment, she realized that huge man back there must have meant something to this guy. Hazel felt she could relate after she witnessed her own father's death several months ago, but she didn't feel she was in the right position to try and comfort him. "But, I'm here to watch your back." she said as she strapped Sabin tighter to her left forearm. Shun watched as student and horsemen threw themselves against the barrier to try and break through. Several were also being pulled aside for fights. It was all taking a little while and he found himself feeling a little anxious. Wanting to help in the effort so that he might be able to get Mitsu home faster, he crouched down to let her lower body rest on the ground. If needed he could move quickly, but he just needed one free hand. He called for his daggers and let out a breath before flinging one of them at their blockade.
