Jean cocked her head as she opened the front door. "Be careful.. it is possible that others were able to sense the gemstone's energy frequency and may be tracing it as well," Xavier said quietly in their minds, his presence fading afterward. "If any of them try to hurt Noriko... though I don't know her, they'll get stomped into the ground," Akumi said quietly. "Are you sure you two aren't related? You seem..." she said with amusement, teasing the duo. Akumi blushed. "Wouldn't you protect the only one you know in an unfamiliar location?" he said wryly, carefully not looking at Twila.

Twila caught a teaseing tone and frowned "Aren't we suposta be makeing shure your friend is alright not teaseing people....?" She said to Jean.

Jean blushed but flicked her hand as keys shot from the side table into her hand and darted out of the door. "I'm sure you want to stretch your wings, and to be honest, I want to test out these sandals to see how they stand up," Akumi said as he pushed off, unconsciously using a handspring to flip over the steps and land a couple of paces behind Jean as she hopped into the same van they'd followed to the mansion.

Twila fallowed abit excited to fly again. Once out side she jumped off the steps and flew up into the air. "Feild trip on our first day! "

Jean reversed the van and swung it around before accelerating out of the driveway and turning sharply towards the right. Akumi grinned as he pushed off, his fingers slipping into the pocket of the jeans he wore and lightly brushing the buttons on the MP3 player he'd found in the jeans. He chuckled as it started playing one of the few songs he knew. Within a matter of seconds he'd already accelerated to his full speed before a thunderous boom followed; without realizing it, he'd broken the sound barrier. Jean felt the van rock slightly as she heard the boom. Was that... nah... she thought before she saw a literal blur of black and bronze shoot ahead of the van. She blinked and pushed the gas pedal down harder.

Twila fallowed the van and covered her ears from the loud noise. "What the heck...." she mumbled wondering caused it.

Jean glanced up in the mirror to see Twila easily two stories in the air above the rooftops. Unless I'm wrong, that boom was a sonic boom from breaking the sound barrier... which would take an acceleration of 761 mph, she thought. She saw the blur shoot up the side of a three story building and skid to a stop to reveal Akumi.

Twila wondered if she should fly up higher to be less visible. "Only down side of that would be telling the van appart from other cars..." she mumbled trying to decide what to do.

Akumi cocked his head, his gaze shifting around before stopping onto a small two story apartment building, which to his senses was blazing with crimson energy. In the windows there were flickers of reddish violet energy and bright flickers of blue light. He pushed off lightly, hovering above the rooftop by several inches as he concentrated. He saw the van Jean was driving turn sharply, almost leaning onto two wheels as it turned eastward and shot down the street. He cocked his head upward, his forefinger and thumb closing together and flashing apart before a bolt of golden light fired off from the tip of his forefinger before striking the roof of the apartment building he'd noticed, glowing golden to mark the location from the sky. He glanced upward before a low whump sounded as he shot skyward, quickly rising to Twila's level of flight. "I think I found her... but I don't know for sure," he said carefully.

Twila looked at him surpized. "You really should slow down abit." She said and tried flying in one place which is easier said then done. "Should we go see if it is the person... or wait for Jean?" She asked.

Akumi shifted his weight in midair, somersaulting in place without meaning to. "I think she's kept a very low level telepathic link to us since we left the mansion, enough to know we're alive and when we strengthen it deliberately, allow her to see through our eyes. She already turned towards the apartment building... though she nearly flipped the van doing it," he said with a faint frown. He had nothing against telepaths in general, but didn't like the idea of having one in his mind, even if she seemed friendly.

Twila frowned abit as well not really likeing the person in her head idea either. "So I guess its like shes with us any way... "

"It's obvious you don't find the link amusing any more than I do, but at the moment, it helps more than it hurts,; she can call in reinforcements if things get too ugly... though I doubt it'll be necessary," he said carefully. He saw the van slowing roughly a half block from the apartment building. "I planted the tracer burst so you'd know where to go," he said, glancing Twila's way.

"It may be helpful but still is weird when you think about how all the thoughts in your head people aren't ment to see or hear can be seen and heard..." Twila mumbled. She looked around for the tracer burst thing he was talking about.
