Eric chased the doll through the streets, dodging bubbles (and crashing through them) as he went. He thought about Charlotte the Nightmare Witch and how she had reacted when they met. She hadn't been violent at all, and had helped him without asking for anything. It was strange and Eric still wasn't sure how to view it. The witches he had known were nothing like that. He turned a corner with the doll using the chain-scythe to whip through any bubbles that got in his way.

And why had Death sent them on a mission after Charlotte? The mission was to "chase her off" so he didn't want her dead. But she was a witch. That didn't make any sense either. Why not just kill her if she was such a pain? Well, regardless of how Charlotte viewed it, he owed her. He would have to spare her life next time if they met. He was glad that she had bought him more time but it was only a temporary measure. Eventually he would have to deal with the issue head-on.

He thought about what he said to Charlotte; how Eric was just a dream and that the dream had to end someday. How would he tell Dara something like that...? He pushed the thought out of his mind. "You want her Dara? Catch!" He pulled back and threw the chain-scythe, angling for it to wrap around the doll.

Eric laughed. "I dunno," he said. "Guess you'll have to ask Charlotte or mini-Charlotte or whoever. I don't care if you keep it as long as you can get it to shut up and not go around squealing all the time." "But we DO get to keep these," he said as took the five Kishin egg souls one by one. He placed them in a row in front of Dara. "Change to your human form and eat up," he said. He gave the kishin egg souls a strange look. "We're this much closer to you becoming a death scythe."
