Danny gazed outside at the sky, her dark eyes following the sinking sun. "Well, I walked here this morning," she said, looking back at him. "So, that's a no to having a ride," she said, giving him a sheepish smile.

He wasn't comfortable with letting her walk home alone and hoped she'd accept his offer. Amber eyes held the sight of Alexander holding out his arm to her for a moment longer before she took it and smiled, more to herself than to him, and they began the walk home. "I've got to say it. You are a complete gentleman." She spoke confidently. She always admired men like that. It was the way her father had won her mother's heart, by being a gentleman, and she had wanted a man like that ever since.

Danny waved her free hand at Alexander, saying, "Me? Charming? Noooo..." She tried to keep the dark blush on her cheeks from getting any deeper. "I would've turned you around alright. And sent you running." she teased, laughing.

Danny tilted her head. I would've been challenging? she thought, trying to get what he meant. As soon as he meantioned snow, Danny's eyes shot up to the darkened sky where little specks of white were fluttering downward. "How pretty," she noted quietly, smiling. They were getting nearer to her house now.

Luckily there was little wind, so it wasn't super cold, just enough for it to flurry and it wouldn't really stick. "I hope it continues on like this. Holidays are always better when accompanied by snow." he said.

Danny nodded. "It just sets the mood more, you know?" she agreed, watching the snow get thicker, but not colder. "Is winter your favorite season?" she asked curiously, looking up at him.
After a moment of her alone thoughts, Danny realized she was being walked home by her boss. Sort of. He was kind of her boss. He acted more as a friend. Which she guessed was a good thing. But what would she do when that friend dropped her off at her door? When she got home? She couldn't kiss him goodbye, that was too personal. And she had a boyfriend for crying out loud! She couldn't really hug him, could she? Was that also too personal for them? Danny guessed just saying 'bye' would be a little awkward, she'd have to do something. She furrowed her brows as she thought. What do I do? I still have some time, but I don't know what he'll do. What if he tries to kiss me? What then? I gotta think about Louis. I couldn't do that to him. And Alexander is such a nice guy, so do I hug him? Ugh...

"Every holiday is my favorite in its own way." He said, looking around at the flurries around them. "Spring is when everything comes to life, things become bright and green again. Summer is the time of fun and perfect for being outside, nature is flourishing. Fall is when the world gets sleepy again, the leaves fall and even while dying nature is beautiful. Winter is quiet and peaceful, holidays come and people are joyful." He said, looking around at the houses. Danny pointed down the street a little ways. "Yeah, it's like four houses down from here," she told him, her eyes landing on a smaller house. As they got nearer, her heart beat faster but she remained as calm as she could. To keep herself from feeling anymore nervous, she spoke up. "So," she said, heading down her sidewalk. She didn't want it to be awkward, at all. And she was nervous beyond belief.

He repeated with a small laugh as they finally stopped. He should say something of course, he couldn't just leave her there and he really didn't want to. Honestly, he didn't want to leave her at all, but he knew it couldn't be helped. Instead he took her hands in his. "I am extremely delighted that you are going to be coming to the Apothecary every day." He said, deciding it best to at least say something honest. "Well, almost every day."
