"Something you don't need to worry about. I'll be fine soon enough," Rae said genuinely. No lies here. But it wasn't the answer he wanted, either. "Besides, I'm pretty sure you'll have more fun up there with your mama than down here with me." At that, she held back a pained look. Suka was mama. Rae was... well, Rae. So then who was she to act any sort of parental role to Trescot? That wasn't the reason she had left the beach, though.

I'm finished making sense Done pleading ignorance That whole defense Meliah watched from the shadows. Looks like the fox was in a bad mood. She knew that sweet little demeanor of hers had to have some kind of a breaking point. At least that gave Meliah a rather perfect opening to do something cruel. The best part of that, would be that it shouldn't even be that hard. As long as the work was fast and had little weight on her, then it was worth it. Meliah sunk into the shadows, a grin on her lips. Since her aura was so well hidden and masked, no one would recognize her, not even if they saw her. Necromancers were known for this. Controlling the dead was just the beginning. Once powerful enough, they could change their aura to match someone else's, dead or alive. They could change themselves into rather frightening creatures. The more souls they took, the more their power broadened. Power. Meliah's drive. Her mentor had taught her that in order to have complete power, one must have total control. Which could've meant a variety of things- it could be rightful power and forceful power. Mercy was not a power in Meliah's eyes. It was a weakness. Meliah eventually began to plan out her attack, but it wouldn't be a direct thing, and it wouldn't happen just yet. What she had done already should hold for the rest of their vacation. If not, grudges would be held until they got back home. Friday was supposed to be Suka's relaxation day... giving her an opportunity of a lifetime. All this should take a matter of days, maybe aboutt three days. Don't worry Kage... I won't fail you. Meliah disappeared in black mist, leaving nothing that would indicate she was even there. "Maybe. But I want to be with you right now...mom." Trescot blushed. That was the first time he had called Rae mom. It was a fear blush. Fear of rejection, that only made his hold tighter.
Andrew sat Tara in Suka's lap, and gave Suka, a seductive, lingering kiss. "I'm going for a walk." He said, making his way back to the city.

Her aura soared for a moment before settling someplace between it's typical bright forest-y colors and the dull gray it had been before. Mom. The word rang in her ears a thousand times, and yet she still almost couldn't believe it. Rae crouched down, sitting on her heels, and wrapped her arms tightly around Trescot. There was still a nagging thought that "mom" and "mama" were the same thing, so there was still the issue of too many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. But, she didn't want to question that right now. Even if her aura revealed that not everything had been fixed, her tears made it pretty clear she was beyond happy right now. "I love you, Trescot," she said softly, adding a moment later, "Son."

"Don't you be gone too long love." She called, holding her daughter close. Tara put her head on Suka's chest, wrapping her arms around her. "Sleep sweetheart." Suka whispered to Tara. Moments later, Tara was asleep.
By now Meliah had gone from that paticular area, but her love for Andrew allowed her to stay near to him. It wasn't that Meliah had a grudge against Rae or Trescot, she just wanted Andrew... even if it meant killing off his precious family. Andrew made his way down a quiet street. Meliah might be able to change her aura, but she always had the same scent. Sandalwood. "Meliah." Andrew kept walking, earning stares for his height, and hair.
Trescot gasped softly, hugging Rae tighter. Mom. Hugged mom tighter. He smiled. "I love you to mom." His aura glowed, turning a bit more white than before.

This time, Rae's aura strengthened. It went beyond it's natural hues, brightening and shifting. Trescot had called her mom. Twice, now. And told her he loved her. What had she been upset about before? She couldn't even remember. She kissed his forehead lovingly and stood, taking his hand and wiping her eyes. "C'mon. Let's go back to the beach," she told him happily, a wide smile on her lips.

"Can we get a snack first? Please?" He looked up with sweet eyes, a toothy grin on his lips.

"I wanted to talk little robin." Despite Andrew's caution, a heavy blush colored his cheeks. Three straight days....of fun. He couldn't walk for a month, and to this day her..innuendo scared the hell out of him.

"Why you never told me you were alive. Why you allowed somone to make you dark. Why, little robin. Why?" Andrew's voice held decades of raw pain. Raw anger. Raw curiosity.

"'Course we can. Hm..." Rae glanced around, finding what looked like a Brazilian snack bar. She approached with Trescot, smiling as she smelled what seemed like some sort of fried pastry. Half the things on the menu she couldn't pronounce, but at least their were pictures of most of them. "Alright, Trescot. Anything you want," she told him, lifting him in her arms so he could get a better look at the hanging sign that served as a menu.

"Uhhh....that one!" Trescot pointed to a heavily icinged pastry with glee. That seemed delicious. And from the server's aura, not entirely pastry.
Andrew sighed. "Why would I look for someone who's bloody body I found scattered across my home? I mourned for four decades, and then, I found Suka. But before I tell you my story, answer my other questions little robin."
