Sango the Demon Slayer

Sango looked over as she saw the arrow heading in her and Rin's direction and quickly drew her hiraikotsu. She knew that the demon was aiming for Stian so she quickly hurled her hiraikotsu so that it would protect Stian and Rin and as soon as the hiraikotsu was free of her hands Sango curled up around kirara protectively, knowing she didn't have enough time to avoid the backlash. She managed to protect Kirara but as Sango was hit she was sent tumbling to the ground, with deep gashes in her arms and back. As her tumbling came to a halt Sango glanced to Kirara who was safe for the time being before she stood up slowly. Blood trickled down Sango's arms as she drew her katana and wasted no time in rushing at Sayu, keeping an eye on her bow.

Rusty glanced at Sango in time to see Touga strike at her. He jumped at her, trying to block most of the attack with his shoulder and arm. He tried to keep her low and tensed as he felt Touga's second attack tear up his upper back. Blood hit the ground and pain coursed his spine, but Rusty tried not to pay it any mind. He spun and aimed a kick at Touga, hoping to ward him off. The cuts on his arm and shoulder would be sealing up, leaving smears of blood against his skin and in his clothes. He growled at Touga. Then he turned to the other wolf. "Whatever you plan to do Koga, we have to do it now!" He stood near Sango, ready to keep the pup and the girl away from her.

Tsuki's eyes galzed over for a moment. The shard in her forehead pulsated and the aura around it turned dark. She crouched and growled, saliva and blood dripping from gnashing fangs. Her claws extended and grated the earth. Her wounds had healed. Her eyes cleared and started to grow darker and darker until they were a grayish-green. Her ears twitched at the sounds of the others and she snapped her head sideways to look at Koga. She shifted until she was facing him. Her tails swayed slowly and her claws flexed. A snarl rose from her throat as her lips slid back to reveal large fangs. She kept her head low, ready to go for his throat. Her eyes flitted to the fake Sayu, as if asking for permission to attack. She was still tensed and ready to attack or defend.

Everything was seemingly going according to plan, yet as he took a step forwards to advance on the woman a low grown penetrated his ears. Turning his head, his eyes glanced over to Tsuki who got into the stance of a killer. Had the woman done something to her as well. "Damn it..We won't get anywhere at this rate." This was not a fight they were going to win, at least not as they were now. Kouga was not one to give up, but being this outnumbered against a rogue half-breed a full demon, and what looked to be just shadows in general, there was no escaping safely. Backing away slightly as to look at everyone he spoke. "I don't want to hurt you, but if you get in the way, I'll have to hurt you." Clenching his fists tightly he looked over to Inuyasha who had also been hit by one of the shadow's before releasing a rather annoyed growl. The half-breed picked the perfect time to loose his powers. "What I planned to do isn't working right now Rusty. As you can see, your sister has gone feral on us"

Looking up at the tree behind him he quickly lept up onto one of the branches before pushing hard off of the branch. The force from his feet caused the branch to snap into various pieces as he soared through the air before landing on the ground next to Inuyasha and Koto. "Koto. As it stands, only you, Rusty, and I have any power to do anything. Given our numbers, plus our injuries, we need to leave." Putting an arm under Inuyasha now, he attempted helping the human up to his feet though he would not release his grip on the male as Kouga's next plan involved a tactical retreat. "We need to grab and go."


ooc: I'm assuming Kirara's in her small form for this?

Rin nodded as Koto told her to save her arrows for the Elder wolves. Two large wolves had raced for her, and at Koto's suggestion, fired arrow after arrow at them. After they were killed, Koto pushed her to Sango and told the slayer to protect her, which made her frown. Did he consider her to be that weak? Inuyasha headed off, beckoning the human females and white demon cat to follow him. She gasped as an arrow fired towards them, which Sango deflected with her Hiraikotsu. She had grabbed Stian, hugging him to her chest protectively. She then noticed Touga. What was wrong with him? Why was he attacking them? She watched in horror as Koto was flung into a tree by a shadow. "Koto!" Her attention was directed when Tsuki focused her giants fangs on her. She took hold of Stian and Kirara, holding one in each arm as she slowly backed away. As Rusty threw a knife and it landed in his sister's leg, she moved Stian and Kirara to a tree branch above her head, freeing her hands. "Climb as high as you can until it;s safe to come down." She told them. She grabbed her bow and arrow, and while Tsuki had been distracted, she aimed an arrow in Koto's direction. Shadows hated light. She let loose the arrow, the bright light around it filling the area.

Rusty kept eye contact with Tsuki. Suddenly, the earth beneath him became boiling hot mud. He quickly coated his feet in ice, but it melted just as fast as he could create it. Then Touga was on him. The pup's claws dug into his shoulders and Rusty fell to one knee, crying out. Immediately he started sinking again. Rusty struggled to move out of the mud and hold off the pup. Touga was going for his throat, trying to kill him. Rusty snarled and kept one hand under Touga's chin, keeping his fangs away for the moment. He jumped up out of the mud, using the momentum to flip and land with his back, and Touga, to the ground. He hoped the force would knock the pup loose. Rusty tried to keep Touga in the path of the ground and also to keep the pup from ripping out his throat. The burns on his legs started to heal as well as the scratches he'd received from the crazed puppy.

Tsuki was no longer distracted by Rusty, and turned back to Rin. She ducked instinctively as the bright arrow passed. She growled and jumped at Rin, claws stretched and aiming for the girl's throat.

"Idiot!" exclaimed Kouga. Did Rusty honestly think they could win this given their condition? Since arriving in this realm, all they had done was fight non-stop without a moments rest. Sure he did not need rest a lot, but on some occasions Kouga's body did need to rest itself. Right now he was pushing his body to its limits just to prevent himself from falling over during the battle. Having been trying to get away from the fight with those harmed or pretty much useless, he failed to notice the wound on his leg thanks to Tsuki's attack. Apparently he was weaker than he thought at the moment as Inuyasha darted forwards once Kouga helped him up. Provided, Kouga wasn't holding on tight at all, but still. Taking note of the woman leaving, his fists clenched themselves tightly. "Shut it mutt face! Just try not to get killed by the kid!" exclaimed Kouga as he darted forwards. The instant his foot touched the ground once more to take off into the air, pain surged directly up his leg causing him to stumble forwards before his hands were on the ground. Sitting for a moment, he looked behind himself to look at his leg were the cut was. "Damn it.." muttered Kouga. Even if he were to get up and continue, with his leg slightly injured there was no way in hell he'd be able to keep up with the woman. Looking behind him, he could only hope that they managed to subdue Touga.
