"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down there, girly. You don't have to talk so fast." Gage didn't look like he was up to putting up with the old shenanigans of the kids playing at being kids. He was looking very grumpy in fact. Shifting his stance, Gage rubbed the bridge of his nose, and his sunglasses be damned. He took them off his face, snagging it on his shirt collar and just left it there. Taking a step backwards, Gage took a second or two more to look over Kiera's pokemon again and sort through everything she had said. "Alright, nice to meet you too, Kiera. You can call me Gage. I was wondering if you were interested in making any ... mm, trades, maybe?" "Rai-rai!" Raichu was obviously all for it, bounding forward towards Kiera to get pet, all excited about it and everything. Facepalming, Gage covered it up by rubbing his eyes, and blinking rapidly, he looked back at Kiera. My Arceus, what was she made of? Sugar, spice, and fifteen liters of stimulant? Gage glanced over at the other rookie just hanging around on the edges, and thinking it couldn't be any worse, tried to encourage Graham to come over as well with a gesture. Maybe he would trade as well. "Hey, kid. You trade pokemon? As I was saying, I'll trade you something for ... oh, your Yanma, Eevee, and that Natu you just caught. I also have a few commons and uncommons to trade too." Gage had an entire list with the pokemon that were up for trade, and he offered the crumpled and folded paper to Kiera to look over. Now he looked over at Graham rather critically. "How's it going? Find anything good in the ruins?" Waiting for Graham's reply, Gage got an alert from his headset and touching the side of the tech contraption, he got the notification that his Eevee was getting closer to evolution. Tossing aside the ball for the cute little fox - oh dear, another cute pokemon, but at least Kiera already had one of her own, so she likely wouldn't go nuts over this one too - Gage released the Eevee so she was free to evolve in the daylight sun, and become the beautiful Espeon he wanted. She certainly was looking extremely cheerful and resplendent, the sheen to her fur was shiny and smooth, her tail and ears perky, her large eyes glowing with merriment, and a large grin was spread over her face. That was a Eevee in Nirvana. She hopped over to Gage, and right up into his arms, absolutely in love with her trainer, mewling at him. Gage caught the Eevee just in time, and tried a few times to put her down, only to have the Eevee jump right back up. Oh well, Gage couldn't help but be a little cheered up himself. Well, they seemed like nice people. The girl introduced herself as Kiera. "I'm Graham. Nice to meet you. And yeah, I just got it. Sounds like you just did too." he said. He then watched as the guy released his Eevee and then played a little with it. They looked happy. Kippers let out a coo on his head, resulting in Graham reaching up to pet the Mudkip. "All I found were a couple of evolution stones. Nothing to write home about, but at least I won't have to worry about not having anything to exchange back in Blyse. It was a sickeningly sweet scene, but honestly, Gage needed something to help cheer him up after the whole fiasco on Route 5 with the Zoroark, and losing track of his Houndoom. A happy, wriggling, furry Eevee would be just what the doctor ordered. Gage laughed, a little, deciding he'd probably nickname her Nirvana, and for once that laughter didn't sound mean. But not all good things last. He sobered when he nodded towards Kiera. "Swellow, eh? Taillow, which is evolves from, is a pretty common pokemon around Route 1. Say, I'll trade it for your Poochyena or Whismur? They should be close to evolving too, right?" Then letting Kiera chew on that, Gage looked over at Graham again, glancing up at that Mudkip for a moment. He heard a few people liked Mudkip. "Not bad. I was hunting for a Thunderstone to help evolve my Raichu, and what do you know, after I get one out of a kid, I find two more right after. Funny, huh? So, kid, you think you'll be interested in trading any of your pokemon for one of mine? Do you have anything rare?" Oh no, not Brutus or Wispy, but Kiera had to think again. She wanted that Swellow, they were such pretty birds, but she had also just caught a Natu for a flying pokemon. Thinking long and hard on this she did decide that she could bear to part with her Whismur. Sometimes he was just too loud and he wasn't her favorite. "Okay, what about my Whismur, he's just about to evolve if you wait a little while longer. That fight at the gym was super good for him! I've been waiting for this for awhile." Hoping to be helpful Kiera mentioned, "We can all take my Abra's Teleport back to Blyse to trade. "What a surprise... the last thing I found here was a Thunder Stone too. I guess they're not that rare then. Finding a fossil would be pretty cool though..." said Graham with a nod. He then laughed and shook his head. "I doubt I have anything that can be considered rare. My Pokemon are just the ones you can find all over Route 1 and 2. Stuff like Shinx and Hoothoot. I highly doubt I have anything that you'd be interested in." he added, waving his hand to emphasis it. Kiera was now squealing over Kippers. The Mudkip looked rather pleased with his cuteness. Graham chuckled and looked up at the Mud Fish Pokemon. "Hear that? She thinks you're cute. Who's a cute little Mud Fish? YOU'RE a cute little Mud Fish~" he said, reaching up to scratch the Water-type behind his fin ears. He kind of wanted to explore the Ruins a little more, but the battle with the Gym Leader did tire him out from how intense it was. Post 333 After he got off Lizzy, he picked up a couple items by his feet. A Sunstone and a Metalcoat. Huh, more stuff to turn in for a good TM. Letting Lizzy stand by him, Chael waited for a response. He took out a piece of paper and quickly wrote the Pokemon he was willing to trade. A Snubull, Darumaka, Ditto, shiny Trapinch, Golett, Ralts, Sudowoodo, and a Tirtouga. If he was willing to trade a shiny, a rare, or even a fossil, it had to be worth it. Just like the ones he caught were. He looked over at the newcomer, recognizing him as the guy who camped out on his campsite the first night without permission. But it looked like he was too focused on the guy that wanted to trade.
