Amaya grinned, ruffling his hair before he let go, putting her hands in her pockets she walked along with her husband and her son.

"We should do this more often." Adrian said with a pleasant sigh. "Especially since Cali's going to be gone in a few months."

"We should. But hopefully we'll be able to actually get Cali to do something with us next time. She's been researching places a lot lately. I think she's getting nervous the closer she gets to graduation." Amaya said as she laid her head on Adrian's shoulder, holding his hand with a small smile on her face.

"Because she really needs to be nervous with all the Hollywood guys begging her to work for them." Adrian said sarcastically. "What she should worried about is passing her academic classes. I'm pretty sure her stage crew grade is the least of her worries."

"She doesn't want to disappoint them. There's high expectations for her because of what she can do." Amaya said with a shrug. "So far she has them high enough that she can let the last few months slip a bit. Which I'd probably do anyway, so as long as she doesn't let them slip so she doesn't pass, I don't really care if she does it." She told Adrian, knowing he had a little higher expectations.

"I don't care what she does, so long as she graduates." Adrian said. So long as he didn't see any Fs, he was happy.

"Then let's shoot for C's." She said, smiling as she kissed his cheek.

"Might as well, Riley's already doing just that." Adrian said with a smirk remembering his son's previous report cards.

"Well C's at the end of senior year is a little more acceptable than C's at ten. I'd like for Riley to at least be pulling B-'s." She sighed. It was less than what was expected of her, but she knew Riley could do better than C's.

"Sure, just as soon as someone tells me why I need to know about a bunch of dead guys." Riley piped up, finding history to be boring and pointless.

"Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it." Amaya said sagely, quoting George Santayana. Though she didn't go to school for long, she'd done a lot of reading and learning on her own in the last few years. But she liked history, and going to museums to learn more about the world around her and how it came to be.

"I think we already kinda did. Capturing slaves and treating them like they weren't people, and then capturing mutates and treating them like animals. I guess everyone behind that twisted scheme forgot their history lessons." Adrian noted.

"Well, dear old Carl Northman didn't need much schooling now, did he? Or any of the owners in the ring for that matter. They were born with silver spoons in their mouths." Amaya shrugged, putting her hands back in her pockets.

"Wouldn't matter if he's broke or still loaded. He's been charged with several counts of murder and dozens of other crimes. So he's not getting out. Ever." She told him, not seeming to mind either way, just trying to be numb towards the subject.
