Jasmine Langdon Smiles at the nurse, panting a bit. These two look suspicious, she notes to keep an eye on them, looking around, before answering the question, "Are there any more?" She asks, taking a quick glance around the place. It had some blood, an a faint scent of the dead, but she passed it off as a normal hospital feel, she hated hospitals."I'm fine." She tells them, though a little of her energy is spent, she doesn't let them know, and she won't. Her suspicions and gut feeling is that something isn't right... The nurse looks looks like she hasn't slept in days! And the doctor.. The doctor seems, off.

Natalie pressed her back against the wall and fought to catch her breath. It wasn't that she was in bad shape—in fact, she was probably in as good of shape as she had been when she'd been on track in school a few years earlier—but the adrenaline was thrumming through her veins.
"I'm okay. No need for a check-up," she insisted, taking her finger off the trigger and lowering the weapon to the floor so that she seemed a little more friendly. Still, she kept her expression guarded. "I mean, I wouldn't mind a few bandages or pain killers for the road if you can spare them for..." Here, Natalie trailed off, her mind racing. Okay, she was probably overly paranoid, but there was no harm in throwing in some extra protection for her and Jasmine. The other woman didn't seem completely comfortable either. "I'm here with friends on a supply run. They're not far."
Really, she wasn't lying. Natalie was in the city on a supply run with friends. It just so happened that she had no idea where the boys were at that exact moment. But it wasn't entirely implausible that they could show up. These strangers didn't have to know that she and Jasmine were on their own for the moment.
"Speaking of, I should really check in with them right now," she muttered honestly, retrieving her old walkie talkie from her pack.

Icarius smirked slightly at Xavier's response, and highly doubted that he would change, but the possibility amused him. What would actually feeling grief for someone else feel like? Would he miss not feeling anything? He threw the idea around for a while in his head and rolled his blue eyes before he started thinking about Prometheus. As Xavier threw the thought around about killing something, Icarius agreed that he didn't like to just sit here and do nothing.
"Well I should check on my ship, you two want to come with? I don't need the back-up, but Xavier you look like you could use some fresh air," he mused and walked over to the other man to nudge his shoulder. He walked back over to the knapsack and picked it up. He put on his helmet once again to see in the dark better when they went outside and nodded to Coraline before he started walking downstairs and out of the building. He had left the hockey stick in the room and pulled out his gun for protection instead.
He hoped Prometheus was awake so that they could get to safety and share each other's company while they ate something.

As Coraline sat there listening to the conversation she started thinking about her life. What happend to her as a child. She was sent to jail for somthing she didnt do, and was never accepted my anyone but her family. But since her family is gone she feels like an outcast. The only two people she can really talk to or accept her is Xavier and Icarius. She gave a weak smile, happily thinking she's at least excepted by someone. Then she draws back to the conversation when Xavier says he wanted to kill something. As Coraline thought this she wouldent mind killing someone herself, for all the rage she has built in her, it was just cause chaos. She looks at her feet dangleing, she leans back with her leaning on the wall, as she closes her eyes and thinks how life can get better.

ℳαɼα ℛѳʙɪɳsѳɳℒѳcαϯɪѳɳ: No longer important at the moment.ℐɦѳʯɢɦϯs: No skyships or crew for support, but I'm going to survive this, dammit! Mara nodded at Monica's concession, feeling a bit more secure. Both the tall woman and Bruno seemed to be at sort of loose ends, and somebody needed to take charge. They were in uncharted skies with hostiles hiding around every corner, and she had no exit routes. The time had come to step up and command, and this she knew how to do.
"Right, then. Now that that's been settled, I have a proposal. We stick together and head for the source of that flare. If the situation is... less than ideal, we can always look for other defensible places."
She looked at her pistol, a light six-shot, ruefully and tucked it into her belt before drawing her gear-sword. Better to save the precious ammunition until she knew where to get more. If these zom-bees could only be killed by being shot in the head, surely decapitation would work just as well. She was glad that she'd invested in such hard metals for her personal weapons that wouldn't dent or lose their edge easily. There might not be a lot of opportunities to sit down and sharpen up a standard-issue blade. Feeling thus more prepared, she spoke again. "This is entirely new territory to me. I don't know the lay of the land or how many will be facing us in battle. My strength is in aerial tactics, not land maneuvers, and I may be more of a hindrance than help to either of you. To be frank, my survival may depend on whether or not you come with me."
She looked at each of them earnestly, following her instincts that had always led her true when it came to uniting and inspiring the various crews she had commanded over her short career.
"But perhaps the same might be true of either of you in the future. The more we watch each other's backs, the more likely we are to survive. Are you with me?"
Simple, honest, and to the point. It remained to be seen if they would choose to join her. Her plans wouldn't change if both Monica and Bruno decided to go their separate ways, but she sincerely hoped they would come with her.

Verra finished far quicker than any of his companions, due to him consuming only the meat portion of the course as well as his sloppy, quick eating habits. He then took the time to watch the others interact with their meals. The way they ate said a lot about them.
Tora was cautious, barely touching anything on her plate, though he knew she had to be hungry. Blondie had said 'trust issues'; that barely began to cover it. There had to be a reason for Tora to be so standoffish and vigilant. He absently clicked his tongue, filling the room briefly with an odd chirruping. He'd have to get under her skin.
Blondie, on the other hand, didn't seem to have any sort of issues -- with the food, at the very least. Her earlier conversation with the man had indicated that she knew him about as well as Tora and Verra did -- that is to say, not at all. So either she was incredibly good at reading people, or she simply wasn't giving any thought to the dangers that other people posed. He hoped it was the former; she'd be of no use to him in the latter situation.
Bartholomew's little speech gave Verra a bit of pause. "Does that mean we're sssupposed to be housekeepers or sssomething?" he questioned hesitantly. He wasn't even going to attempt to begin reading the man yet.
He twisted his neck around, following the movement of Bartholomew out of the room, then snapped it back around to face Blondie. "What do you think, shhhould we go oversssee?" He wasn't really asking for an opinion; he leapt up as well, dancing over to where to women was sitting. Goddamn but did he hate human chairs. "Might be good to check out the resssources, hmm? C'mon, c'mon!"

✘✘Dr. Howard✘✘ You can trust me.. "Friends? How lovely, you should invite them over for a bandage and a bite to eat." With a smile at Alice she slipped a few more prozac pills in her mouth so she would seem happier to see her guests. "Sorry to inform you that it is just nurse Evelyn Alice and I, Dr. Jacob Howard." He grabbed a small travel size box and started filling it with basic anti biotics and such. "You two must be starving! Come, to the cafeteria." Howard handed the box over to the girl, it wouldn't matter if he gave her the box or not, it isn't like it was going to leave the hospital anyway. The doctor walked over to Evelyn, leading the girls over to the cafe. It was free food, they wouldn't pass it since it was getting harder to come by these days. Everything was running smoothly. "Sure you two wouldn't mind resting for a bit?" ..I'm a doctor.

"As wary as I am about the infected, that actually sounds like a good idea." Xavier said, taking a stand. He made sure the pistol Coraline gave him was tucked tightly into his waistband, and put the knife in his back pocket. He drew his hood, and zipped his sweater up. It was a little chilly outside. "And you're right. I really could use the fresh air." He said to Icarius.
Xavier looked at Coraline. "Care to come with? We could use the practice if we run into any infected." He said, with a smirk.

((If anyone could find one of my girls, or at least tell me where you are so I can walk there, I'd be very apriciative)) Serrenedy woke up and gasped a few times. She blinked where was she agian. She got up to look around. A tunnel she'd fallen asleap in a tunnel. The young woman streatched out her body and blinked her bleary eyes. "AH!" She doubbled down agian, she had to remeber to take the greatswornd off before she streached out. She removed it to roll her shoulder. "That was not fun. She yawned once and sat back down to her bag. She rummaged around in one of the two places that weren't FULL of ammo and pulled out a twinkie. She grinned at it. "They can take the world, but they'll never take my twinkies" She chukled to herself. She crammed the object in her mouth and did a quick once over to make sure there wern't any zombies that she'd mssed in the initial clear out. There wern't. She adjusted her sneakers and started running agian. She didn't know where she was headed, but she was sure glad she had strong ankles. Sally was still in the wreakage of her fire. She smiled. She fire had been pretty. She so rarely got to see pretty things. She was sure she must have seen them at one point or another. She looked at her patient tag agound the leg in her arm. She was sligthly wondering why there wern't that many people that had come to eat. A few were there, there were odd looking, all roted and whatnot. Sally hadn't seen many people in her life, but she was sure they wen't suposed to look like that. But, there was pleanty of food on the ground and they were ignoring her in pursits of meater meals. So she sat calmy about twenty feet away from the nearest one and enjoyed her meal.

Jasmine Langdon She glances over at Natalie, there were more? She couldn't slip up at the sight of the hope. Looking at the nurse, Alice, she didn't look too happy here. She could reach out her empathy to know their real feelings, but she was going to let that slide for now.. She watches him fill the box, smiling, "Thank you." She says as he hands it over to them. But food. Food was surely hard to find here. True, her Mind over Body technique would work.. But she never tried it for how long. And Natalie would need to eat."I'm sure we could spare a few for a bite.. But what's the catch?" Surely, from her years of on the streets there's catches, everyone has one. No one would just give their food up for free if it was hard to come by now

✘✘Evelyn Alice✘✘ Open wide.. "It is a hospital, is it not? We need to take care of you." Evelyn snickerd at his words then walked into the freezer to cut up some meat and place it on two treys, one for each girl. She placed them in the oven then waited patiently for them to cook, afterwards she mixed a small bowl of seasoning with some opened Seconal pills and sprinkled it on top of the meat to add 'flavor'. "Here you are." She smiled, putting them down onto a table then going back into the kitchen to fetch the drinks. Alice dropped a Normison pill in each glass of water, stirred them until they had completely dissolved then walked back out to place them beside the food. If they didn't eat then the drinks would knock them out. Either way they should be in dream land. "So, what are your names?"...Its time for your medicine

☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷█║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ The food was finished soon enough, not that Tora even ate all that much. Standing when Bartholomew did so, her expression was neutral as a brow slowly raised. "What?" So he was really going to go with her? All Tora needed was for the man to tell her where the place was, that way she could find it an get to her guys. But, oh well. If they were overcome with zombies, then she at least had someone to distract them with. Tora didn't have to run fast. She just had to run faster than him.
Putting the plate on the counter, her words remained neutral as she spoke, her low tone too monotone for even her own taste. "I'm ready now, if we're going. I don't care if you come or not." Her gaze turned to Verra, but just the smallest flicker of curiosity appeared. What was the other thinking? Was he really going to go just for the hell of it? Out of everyone here, he was the only one she didn't understand. It seemed like Bartholomew was trying to see the good in people, or at least make a place for others to be in so that he had his own protection, the blonde one was simply neutral, she probably felt that there wasn't a risk to her because of her ability or something, and Tora... Tora had her own issues. She just had things that had to be done.
Did she not trust people? Not exactly. Tora did trust people.
She trusted them to be lying, cheating, murderous beings that would kill you the moment you showed weakness.
See? No trust issues.
"Come on. I do need to hurry, so let's go if we're going now, then." Her gaze went to Bartholomew, the woman standing straight. It was time for them to get going. Ziggy was probably hurting by now... A chill went down her spine. What if... No. She wouldn't think of that. Ziggy could fight, he could handle himself. He'd be fine. █║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷

Sydelle WestYou're not a hero, you're a liar...
Sydelle was in fact adept at reading people. It had come out largely after she had gotten the gauntlet from her father. But whether the ability came from the gauntlet itself, or it had ignited her own abilities, she could never quite guess. She was a bit surprised when the alien insisted they go along, She was contrary enough in nature to think about refusing. But Bartholomew was the man in charge here and getting closer to him could help her in the end. So she stood up slowly, watching Verra's almost manic movements. While he was easily excitable, he did seem to rely on people the way she did. Using them for his own purposes and tossing them aside. Time would tell if they could do the same to each other. She followed the two, moving just fast enough to keep up with them. Grr lumbered behind, needing no spoken command.
...you're not a savior, you're a vampire.

Bruno liked Mara, she had a "take-charge" attitude, and he admired that. He turned to her and smiled. "You keep talking about a flare. I know nothing about that because it must have happened before I came here. If you open up your mind, I can locate the source of it and get us safely to this location. I refuse to walk through hordes of zombies; even if they do die easily, it is still a hassle to do." He waited for her reaction, he would be able to tell if she opened up her mind to him.

Der Mond ist aufgegangen. Die goldenen Sternlein prangen. Der Himmel hell und klar. Der Wald ist dunkel und still. Und aus den Wiesen steigt. Der weiße Nebel wunderbar. Adelaide was suspicious of Bruno when he didn't want to answer her question. But she then turned to Mara and smiled at the woman's leadership skills. I will join you on this quest, even if it means my eventual death. She said, laying a hand on the woman's shoulder. She then smiled, and stood on gaurd like her father taught her. Well, where ever you are from is lucky to have such a woman in their ranks commanding and leading. You have a leveled head, and a sharp tounge ready to give orders.
The moon has risen. The golden stars shine. The sky bright and clear. The forest is dark and silent. And is rising from the meadows. The white mist wonderful.
