Rose blinked at the new comer who blocked her from the view of the prince and Loa. He seemed angry for some reason, and she grew curious to why. "Hey, what's got you so upset?" she asked, stopping to meet this new person.

Melody giggle, "Melody is fine, and my aren't you the big boy." She kneeled down, noting the fear from the king. She kept a natural calm that only came from a mother, "I suppose you are prince..." she decided to use the kings name for him to help him feel more comfortable, "Owen. Alicea has been wanting to meet you for quite a while." Alicea refused to let go of the prince, looking at him though, "No, I mean it! We ARE going to be married." Melody smiled kindly, "Alicea tends to see something through once she decides it. I guess it's just how she always has been."

Riordan swore, silently under his breath at the interruption. Would he never be able to express his feelings? He looked up, when Loa recognized the young nobleman. "I'll be damned. It is Jeremy." Riordan, then called tohsi friend, "Jeremy! Still harassing the court and advisors. I told you, never announce your presence till the can't get away." he said with a small smile, "And I'm sure you remember Loa."

Jeremy heard the Prince and walked over smiling. "I tried. They actually saw me and then decided to make haste to the meeting." His eyes then traveled to Loa, and his smile widened. "Yes. I've only had the pleasure a few scant times. But I will always remember her. The 'birdy girl' who is the reason that I met you and we became friends." He gave a small bow to her, "It is always a pleasure when I get to see you. As always I am striving to equality. And like always, I have just had a door slammed in my face."

Jeremy's father had mostly likely blamed Loa for Jeremy's... endeavors, so they had not been allowed to see each other since their meeting. He was one of the few she considered her friend, even if he'd only been there for her once. She smiled when Jeremy approached, and when her prince introduced her. Loa bowed back when he bowed to her, as usual never reflecting on how odd it must appear, a young woman such as herself, wearing a dress- at the insistance of the king- bowing like a nobleman. In all actuality, no one had bothered to teach her court manners- she had mimicked them. Mostly from her Prince, but also from other nobles she'd watched as a child. "It is nice to see you again, Lord Jeremy." She wasn't sure if she should be placing Lord next to his name, but it would be unheard of for her to use his first name alone. She flickered a glance at the slammed, door, and smirked. She wanted to be reckless for once. "I believe I can help with that," Loa murmured, an idea striking her. She rushed to the door, effortlessly kicked it open, and held up her sword. "I saw the quick retreat, are any of you harmed or in danger?!" Her voice and face portrayed that of the concerned and alarmed body guard perfectly, there was no hint that she had not truely believed the lives of these noblemen were in danger.
And, the door was open now, and unable to be shut, with her in the doorway.

((Ah, Loa, you sneaky bird you.))

((Whoops! forgot Owen!))
Owen frowned a bit, contemplatively. "Then you are Lady Melody, or else you would have rushed to tell me your status was not that of a lady." Owen bowed his head a bit, a bright young boy, though still plainly hesitant. He loved visitors, and yet feared meeting new people. Owen gave a glance at the girl hanging onto him. She seemed sweet enough, and certainly determined. He hoped she moved on quickly when- if, Rio wants me to think of it as if- he died. He returned his gaze to Lady Melody. "That sounds like Rio, my brother. Only, he has things he's not sure how he can do."

Kennard shook his head a bit, wishing his elder son would know better than to confide in an ill six year old... But knowing that Owen was probably the only one Riordan trusted. Kennard certainly understood the feeling- he couldn't even confide in his queen for fear of worrying her.

Jeremy forced back laughter as Loa kicked open the door. She was quickly berated by one of the nobles threatening to have her imprisoned or some such ludicrous punishment.

Riordan stepped up next to her and a sharp glare silenced the nobles. "She saw you all running so hurriedly, she was worried you might have been in danger. Surely you weren't running from young Master Revelin? That would be foolish." The nobles apologized and said that they wihed to begin their meeting as quickly as possible, and politely closed the door.

Jeremy smiled to Loa, "That was brilliant. And I'm not Lord yet. That is still my fathers title. And you can just say my name. I don't really care for all the pomp and circumstance, and polite court etiquette." He then turned to the other girl who had spoken(Rose), "And I apologize. I'm afraid I did not see you. And I wished to say nothing while Loa was dealing with the nobles. My anger is because of their pig-headed outdated way of thinking which continues to hold the Beastials in a light of second class citizens, below humans. I cannot abide by such outdated ways of thinking."

Loa merely lowered her blade as the nobles berated her, before sheathing the sword and frowning a bit. "I'm sorry, I truely did think you all might be in danger." Loa inwardly sighed when her prince felt the need to step up and help her, but was grateful nonetheless. Loa stepped out of the doorway when they apologized, turning back towards her prince and Jeremy. She gave a tiny, hesitant smile and a little bow. "Thank you." At his next words, she shook her head. "I am afraid not, it is not my place to address you so familiarly. I believe I will call you Master Revelin, then." Loa brushed her hair out of her face as he spoke to Rose. She shook her head a bit, obviously not convinced of his words. Under her breath, soft enough that none of them would hear, she murmured, "Such thinking persists because it is true..." Loa turned a bit, scanning the perimeter. It was something that she just instictively did when ever she entered a new space, and half the time didn't realize she had. Then she turned back to Jeremy. "It is nice to see you again, I presume this was an unplanned visit?" Had it not been, she would no doubt have been giving some excuse of an order to get her out of the castle.

Jeremy sighed, "If I can call you by first name, then you can do the same. Please, I don't like formal titles, and I only use them because I have to. But to my friends, I am just Jeremy." He gestured to Riordan, "Its not like I call him 'Prince' when I see him. I go by first names. At least when no one else is around."

Riordan frowned at Loa, barely hearing her words about the backwards thinking being true. He would have to talk with her about that later. Not in public. He forced a smile and nodded to Jeremy, "True. But, I've been trying to tell her to just say my name without a title, and she won't. She doesn't even say my name, actually." He smiled to her, "I hope that one day you'll feel close enough to call me by name, and not just my title."

Rose smiled, not bothering to hold back the slight giggle once the doors would close. It was soft enough so the people behind the door would not hear at any rate. When the boy spoke to her, Rose nodded. "I understand what you are saying." Rose looked up at Loa, "I for one, would be happt in a world where we could live equally." She thought about dreams she saw. Different dreams. She remembered seeing a beastial's dream once...just once. She was so young that she could berely remember being in it. She wondered if she would ever find herself in Loa's dreams. It was definately possible, "My name is Rose. I suppose yours is Jeremy, from what the others said. It's nice to meet you."
Alicea finally let go, "So, Owen, What games you like to play? Wanna play house? I can be the mommy and you can be the daddy!"
Melody smilled, "You have a wise brother. He knows that there is a lot expected of him. It's a lot to carry, but I've met him, so I honestly believe he will be able to do a great job. I'm sure you will grow to be a strong boy who can do do whatever you put your mind to." she ruffled his hair gently standing up to be by the king, "I have a feeling your son and mine would get. along as well. Both of them seem a little more skiddish at first.

Shade nodded, relaxing his bow, and putting it away, "Very well." he nodded, keeping his gaurd up in cas she was not honest, "I am to be getting supplies at the Exertensis market for my father. If you wish, you may follow, or stay within the forst. So long as you bear no ill will, the forest should not harm you. Now if you excuse me, I must be off." While not trying to be, Shade may have appeared cold tword the girl. The truth of it was that he wanted to get the shopping with over as quickly as possibe so he would not have to be in the town. He hated towns with cobblestone paths where he couldn't see as well.

Jeremy blinked at Rose, as if on shock. Did she really just agree with him. "Uhh, miss, did you honestly understand what I meant? I intend to see to it that beastials are treated the same as you or I." He was in shock that another noble could share his views. "And yes, I am Jeremy Revelin. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Rose."

"Likewise." she nodded, giving him a curtsy. "And yeah, I heard you correctly. My dad's all about equality. He had a great friend who was a bestial. So, yeah, I'm all for it."

Loa stepped back from the three nobles, flluttering her wings slightly, and mostly without realizing it, and turning her head away. The conversation was taking a weird turn, in that she had the opinion against beastials. Without even realizing it, Loa murmured, "Just the beastiials?" It was a slight reference, and onne not many would understand. The elves were oppressed too, and she was as much elf as she was beastial.

Owen blinked at the girl again, feeling very out of his depth. "I- I don't play much. Mostly I read." He glanced up at Lady Melody. "Thank you for your kind words, both to my and on behalf of my brother."

Jeremy smiled at Rose. Someone who shared his ideals? And it was another noble, at that. "I apologize for my surprise. Its just rare to meet another who shares my views. I will one day make my dream into reality. No matter the cost."

Riordan smiled sadly at Jeremy. His friend was an idealist. "Jeremy," He said looking to his friend. "The other nobles won't take this much longer. They will try to take your familys title away, and my friendship can only save you for so long." He sighed, "I'm not going to tell you to stop. But, perhaps instead of the council of advisors, pull more nobles to your cause, then harass the council."

Jeremy looked at the Prince and smiled. "I will, Riordan. And this is only the beginning." He said, a glint on his eyes showing his own rebellious nature, "Beastials are only the beginning. In Incolumitas, I hear that any and all races live in peace together. I intend to to that with Exortensis." He said, before blushing realizing that he almost insinuated a revolution, in the presence of the Prince, "In a wholly peaceful manner, of course. I only strive for equality."

Loa blinked at them as they spoke, shaking her head. "They may live in peace together, but they've earned the animosity of the other cou-" Loa realized with a start that she was participating in a debate with three nobles- one of which was her prince! She flushed slightly and bowed a bit. "I apologize. It's not my place to speak." She took a few steps away, so that she was guarding the entrances to the corridor that they stood in, but so that she was far enough away to have withdrawn from them and their conversation. She was perfectly still, not the slightly muscle out of place, as her hand rested almost idly on her sword. But that was the surest sign that she was beating heself up inside for speaking- Loa was always in motion. If she was still, her wings were always shifting, or her hands, or she shifted her entire body as she turned to look somewhere.

Jeremy turned to Loa, "No, I would like your input Loa. Anyone my contribute into a discussion like this. It is after all about equality." He said offering her a smile, "And Miss Rose here seems to have similar views. And Prince Riordan, I believe shares those same ideals."

Riordan nodded, "Loa, please, I would like to know what you had to say of Incolumitas. And you can speak up whenever you think you have something to say." He smiled to her, "Especially in this instance. With the council wanting to start a war, anythign you say about incolumitas could be useful."

Loa jumped when they both turned and started speaking to her, blinking a bit. "Why do my opinions matter?" She asked bluntly, far too used to the treatment of her opinons or thought processes being lesser because of her race. When her prince asked her for what it was she had to say of incolumitas, Loa blinked, and spoke as he'd requested. "The surrounding countries are all angered with Incolumitas, with their people conflicted over whether to declare war or peace, just like your country, my prince." It wasn't very obvious, but Loa claimed no country as hers. She only belonged here as long as she was allowed to- that didn't make it hers. "I've- I've flown there. During times when his majesty sent me away from the castle, presumably because he was shamed to have a beastial-elf in his employ. In incolumitas, there is equality, but there is just as much strife as here. Hate crimes are down, but crimes are not. It-" She glanced away. "It has a most interesting goverment, but decisions take much longer, so I'm not sure if it's more or less efficient then the monarchy here." Loa paused. "Small children didn't avoid me there.." The last was spoken softly, almost at a volume that couldn't be heard, but it was still said. And it showed that Loa was hurt by how she was treated. But then she stubbornly lifted her head with a strong expression, and seemed to be the emotionless bodyguard that the king had attempted to mold her into.
