Louis began to speak up. "Actually, I am a halfway decent cook as well. Probably not as good as Sethrian, but I at least know what I am doing."

"And realizing this is a competition, I won't open any portals, I promise. Don't need any animals ruining this." Louis said, getting together the walnuts, and starting to use the grinder. "I promise this will be a competition that we will not lose because of animal tomfoolery." He said, continuing the grinding process.

Tshila bounded into class late. So many people! And they were cooking. She noticed the boys and girls and were segregated and immediately went to join the girls. "What are we doing?" she asked, watching Renivere curiously as the girl murdered something in a bowl. Oh wait, she was just stirring it.

"Sorry I'm late. I got held up with...things. Lots of things! Actually, I was just playing in the snow. But anyway, I'm here now!"

"Sometimes my words don't make any sense when I say them..."


Renivere blinked away from her murderous concentration as she set down the bowl that was already done with all the mixing. She gave Tshila a friendly smile. "We are having a healthy competition against the boys! The one who bakes the best wins!" Renivere answered with a smile. "My name is Renivere. Would you enjoy to join us?"

Besides, the more help the better. Renivere wasn't as knowledgeable as Sethrian with baking. She was just competent with baking. He was definitely a very intimidating opponent and it might be a bit sad for the girls if they lost a cooking war.

Well, they'll give it the best they've got!

"Of course!" Tshila said. "We will totally win! Team Blondie, go!" She watched with great interest at what Renivere was doing. "So what can I do to help? I'm a fair cook but I will tell you now that I'm better at cooking meals than baking desserts. Still, I know my way around."

"Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it!"

She looked over at the guys and made a face. "We can definitely beat those sissies!"

"How unfortunate," Sethrian said, frowning slightly when "Shawn" patted him on the back. Why did he have to keep touching him? It was irritating as hell. And what was with that story? It would explain why he hadn't seen "Shawn" around, but then, Seth also knew the previous doctor had been able to treat things like pneumonia. So why would he have to end up in the hospital? "There was another student here who caught pneumonia recently, but from what I understand, he received treatment from the school doctor and remained in the infirmary the entire time. I suppose you must have had a particularly serious case--it's fortunate you seem to have recovered so well." He was just about to prepare to beat the egg whites when "Shawn" asked to be given a tour of the school.

Sethrian sighed. He really didn't want to, but he felt a responsibility given that the other boy was a new student. He could hardly refuse and set a poor example, even if he wanted to. Eurgh. Perhaps he could have Kamil accompany him. "Very well. You may find it more useful to be shown around by a dorm mate, though. Nevertheless, perhaps during the next free period I can show you around the areas with which you're unfamiliar." He began to hand beat the eggs, focusing on getting the to soft peaks. "What is your class schedule like?"

"Okay!" Tshila said. "I am not sure how to beat down cheesecake bottoms but I'll try my best! Sounds like I'm just giving it a good spanking."

Fortunately, once she saw the ingredients, Tshila was able to work out what it was Renivere wanted her to do, and set to work on the graham cracker crust for the cheesecake. "Anyway, who's this Sethrian person? Your boyfriend?" She looked over at the boys--all of whom were cute. "Which one is he? I think I met the blonde one at the festival but I can't remember his name."

Actually, she didn't know if he'd even told it to her. All she remembered was him sitting off to the side like a lump, with the super tall guy. The other boy was completely unfamiliar.
