Something almost equivalent to a knife stabbed at Jake as Arc spoke those words. "They left me behind, so I'm sure it wouldn't make a difference to them," he wanted to say, but he held his tongue. He had to control his words, lest he wanted to be punished as soon as they returned home.

"They may have left you behind but you, your still in their hearts. The pain is greater cause they left you behind." He handed the other wrist to the doctor. "News of your death would throw them into grief."

'Why does it matter to you?' Jake thought after he felt another stab. 'You hate me, right?' He wanted to say those words so badly, but he feared the consequences.

Arc sat back down in the chair, crossed his arms and his legs. "He need to go to sleep so the irritations from the sutures would go away." Arc told the doctor as the man stepped out in the hall, he nodded and came back with a small IV drip bag and hooked it up to the machine.
(I hope you have seen the small clear IV bags in hospital's that a sleeping agent that helps people fall asleep.)

(I was wondering those bags contained.)
Jake soon felt rather drowsy after some kind of needle was plugged into him. His lamenting thoughts began to fade and all he could really think about was sleep. He tried to stay awake, but his eyelids became heavy and he just couldn't keep them open.

Arc talked with the doctor, asking if there was a solution to hide the bandages-like with a hard plastic to keep him from scratching the sutures open again.

Jake soon found himself in a world surrounded by clouds, and he figured he was dreaming again. But there was some kind of real feel to this one, though he wasn't sure why. In all his confusion, he soon spotted a bridge to pearly gates, and a familiar man stood in front of them, with a look of disapproval on his face.

Arc returned to the room and nearly chuckled at the stupid grin on Jake's face. Again, Jake had turned into the plush Arc used to have,

"M-Master?" Jake whispered as he recognized the man at the gate. The then proceeded to run to him, but a raised hand made him stop in his tracks, confused. The frown on the Master's face only deepened.
"What have you almost done?" he asked, now stepping forward. "Surely you didn't forget what I told you about suicide."
Jake practically trembled as he noticed the Master's tone slowly turn into that of anger. "I-I-I'm sorry, b-but--"
"But you have nothing else to live for?" asked the Master. "Suicide is a waste of Life. I told you that many times. What drove you to do such a foolish thing?"
The servant was about to open his mouth and tell the Master, or at least the figment of his imagination, that he could no longer take Arc's abuse, but he bit his tongue. He couldn't blame Arc for his attempted suicide.

Arc watched his face turn and twist in his occurring dream. The lad had been hanging off his arm since they were children and now, he was the adult, older and respected. His space was his. He had let go of the hand that clung to his for so long and he relished it, to him, the walk with out the burden was nothing but an accomplishment.

When Jake made no answer, the Master sighed and smiled assuringly. "Things will get better, I promise," he said, or at least the servant believed him to say.
Before any more words could be exchanged, Jake was suddenly shocked out of his unconscious state. He stared at the ceiling, still dazed and drowsy, wondering what his dream meant and why he dreamt it.

Arc had dozed off in his chair, taking liberty of his free time around the boy. There were a few nurse's mumbling about him in the hall.

Jake soon noticed Arc in the room, and instinctively turned his head towards him. The man once again looked peaceful, a great contrast to his usual irritated or smug look. A strange urge whispered to Jake, and the boy's eyes fell upon Arc's mouth.
The urge whispered again, and he had to look away to avoid obeying it. He was afraid of the consequences, but he was also starting to fear what regret he might have in the future.

Arc's head rolled to the other side of the chair. He wasn't going to wake up soon anyways. Keeping the wings on his back exerted his shifter powers some.

When Arc moved, Jake had stiffened, scared that the man would wake up, but he was relieved when Arc merely turned his head. The servant felt his heart beating rapidly and he put a hand over the area as if to stiffen the sound.
