~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade Zlata ignored the curious way the other eyed her, feeling a little uncomfortable for a moment. She was visibly relieved when Johnny laughed, even though it did sound a little forced. She continued to cook. She too forced a laugh;"Vith me vell...alcohol is in my blood. I can 'andle my drink zo I don't zee vhy I zhouldn't drink, you know~?" Zlata smiled.
She raised a brow when he said France has taught him how too cook. France teaching one of America's too cook? Well that was new...but then again France sure was passionate about his food. She knew the nation from a time when she had been allied with him and England. Their constant arguing had nearly driven her crazy! But arguing nations aside she had got along considerably well with the pair and well Francis...he was probably one of the few people aware of her more... flirtatious ways. Zlata smiled; "Of course cooking ist good vor zhe zoul- good vood can never be a bad vhing! Und I agree, taste isn't everyvhing, vhere I live you 'ave to eat right or you'll quickly vreeze. In Slovakia, alcohol and an 'ardy meal ist your best vriend~"
Nose twitching at the smell of perfectly cooked bacon she opened a cupboard and grabbed a couple of plates, carefully scooping the bacon onto the polished surfaces. Her eyes travelled to the clock; was it lunch time already? Slovak>>>English Out Of Combat:

boo133 ~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" The state smiled genuinely when he saw her relief, and chuckled. " It's in your blood? Lucky!" He said, letting out a loud laugh. "I've got one hundred percent whiskey in my veins! My blood literally IS alcohol! Ha ha ha!" The hardy state joked before continuing to cook. " And yea. I drink quite a bit. I came second place in a drinking contest at the school festival. I was several beers behind Germany.. I even beat the Irelands." He bragged, letting his southern pride out into the open with his tone.
He looked over, seeing her raise a brow at his statement of France. "What? I grew up with the man watching my territory for a while... I'm originally a French, British, and Spanish territory... He's like an uncle... Or somethin'..." He said with a wider smile. "I wish more people were like you when it came to cooking... There is no wrong way to cook. If you like it you like it... And I totally agree. Alcohol and food are the best friend to ANYONE! Ha ha ha!" He replied, plating the chicken breasts.
The Southerner took the biscuits out after several extra minutes, and he took in a whiff of the soft, flakey delicacies. He set them on the counter and waited for them to cool, before placing two on each plate of chicken. "I know the bacon's all done and good, but are the eggs fine and dandy yet?" He asked, a twinge of his accent hugging his tone.

~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade Zlata shrugged; "In a zense I guess, but zhen again, I'm just used to drinking vine und beer a lot." The word 'beer' tasted bittersweet on her tongue, and audibly she had spat it out as if it were a sour milk. It reminded her of her even more alcoholic neighbour and ex, Czech, and his annoyingly tasty beer. She grinned as he bragged about coming second in a drinking contest, "Oh~? I bet I could beat you easily."
On the subject of France being like an Uncle to the state she couldn't help but be surprised; "It's just different zhats all. I only know Francis vrom a brief alliance... you zhould 'ave zeen 'im und England argue, zhey're a vunny pair zhose two." Zlata laughed a little and smiled with a nod, scooping up the cooked eggs out of the frying pan and placing them alongside the rashers of bacons on each plate. One egg per person should be enough, and she could always cook up some more if they were still hungry afterwards. At his compliment she blushed and mumbled a small, shy thank-you, quickly turning her head in the other direction, a little embarassed.
Trying to ignore the blush that had now smothered her small face she put the breakfasts on the dorms table, heading over to the fridge, opening the doors and peering inside, tippy-toeing a little to get a better view, her height proving a little bit of a problem when she attempted to look at the higher racks in the cool fridge; "Vhat do you vant vor a drink? Zhere's orange und apple juice, and zome milk but zhere isn't much left in zhe carton..." Slovak>>>English Out Of Combat:

~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" Johnathan calmed down a little, and simply nodded. "Calm down there, boy." He thought. "Yea. Drinking for a while builds up a tolerance. I'm not surprised either of us can handle a drink." He agreed calmly. He looked over to her with a raised brow when she said she could best him, and started to chuckle. "Looks like we have a plan set for a later date, then." He joked.
Alabama couldn't help but smile wider at her words. Alabama liked Britain and France on their own.. But, on the few times he' seen them TOGETHER. "Those two should either record their arguments, or form a comedy team." He joked, his smile brightening as the talk progressed to happier things. He looked at her with a kind smile when she thanked him, and gave a good you're-welcome back.
seeing all the food plated, he set two glasses down on the table. "Neither right now. I say we share a bit of our own famous drinks..." He went on, pulling a bottle of his famous whiskey seemingly out of nowhere. Let's sample each other's brew. I'll try your wine, you try my whiskey." He proposed with a kind smile. ~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade Zlata chuckled; "I vould but I'm planning on visiting zome vriends I 'aven't zeen in a vhile." She smiled, she should challenge one of her neighbours sometimes. It had been a while since she had talked properly to Germany, who was like a 'bruder' to her, even despite all the problems they had had in the past, they were still close.
She nodded and laughed a little; "Good idea, I may just 'ave to give zhat a try zhe next time zhey're at each other's vhroats.."She happily embraced the suggestion "..vine and vhiskey it ist zhen!" Shutting the fridge she sat down at the table and produced her bottle of Tokaj Wine and set it on the states side of the table, which was actually a bit of a stretch for her comically small frame.

~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" "I said at a later date, hun. It means, well, some other time." He said with a smile. Johnathan also had a few people he needed to check on later. Were Georgia and Tennessee still on differing terms with one another? He thought.
He took his seat at his side of the table, and eyed the food and drink before him. He took in the scent of the eggs, chicken, biscuits, and bacon, making his mouth water. He eyed the foreign wine, but smiled. Alcohol is alcohol. He popped it open, and took a mighty wig from the bottle. When he parted his lips from the bottle, he smiled. "Wow! That's beter than I hoped. He commented with a smile. He couldn't quite read the label, but the bottles he saw her drink earlier said they were made from Lipovina and Furmint and Yellow Muscrat, which he assumed were some sort of fancy foreign grapes. He slid the whisey across the table to her side before taking another swig of the new wine. ~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade Zlata apologised; "Ah zorry, I vorget my english zometimes." She watched the state drink her wine; a lot of people liked it, but it was a dessert wine, and was thus a little sweet, although that didn't stop the meat wine and pastry loving Slovakia from drinking it each day.
Zlata smiled at his response, trying not to sound too proud of herself she reponded; "Vhank you~" She caught the bottle and unscrewed the bottles cap and took a sip. The first thing she noticed was the flavour of fruit- dried orchard fruits galore! There was a hint of pepper like spice mixed in with orange and nuts and herbs, but the thing she noticed the most was how the flavours of the fruit went well with the hot sensation whiskey often brand. She couldn't help but take a little while to respond; with all the alcohol she had tried she liked to mull over the flavours. She smiled; "Very nice, it's just zhe vay a proper vhiskey zhould be; nice und varm vith flavours zhat compliment zhat varmth. Zhe vood zmells good too; let's dig in zhall ve?"
With the silky finish with a complex black pepper accent and hints of anise and toasted oak of the whiskey lingering in her mouth she gently clinked her bottle against his with a grin and began to eat, starting with the bacon. Good meat was another one of the things Zlata was enthusiastic about- back in the old days she had to make do with staple ingredients, so nowadays she found she was rather fond of cooking and the food she could get; ah the wonders of culture. ~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" Johnny chuckled a her apology. "It's fine. If the whole world spoke English, it would just be boring." He said with a small laugh afterwards, taking another sip of the wine. "And don't mention it." He added after his lips left the bottle. When he heard her compliment his beloved state spirit, he smiled wider and chuckled, blushing slightly. "Why, thank you, dear." He said with a gentle grin. "And yes, lets."
He gladly toasted with her, and took another swig of the wine before digging in. The bacon was nice, thick, and had just enough snap to it, and the eggs were soft and tasty. They complimented the fried chicken breast, which had a certain spiciness to it and the meat was tender and juicy, which went well with the crispy skin.
Suddenly, he heard his phone ring, and saw that Georgia set him a text (After he put the fork and bottle down of course.) He remembered how Georgia and how that dirty Spaniard of a mate he had led him to do god knows what at god knows where when he was bleeding out like a soldier with a bullet in the jugular. He didn't even read the text, and simply replied in a short, sweet way. He finally sent the text, and set the phone back down, continuing to eat afterwards.

~Slovakia~Zlata Augustine Lietchinsk 11th Grade "Nie problem." Zlata smiled as they knocked bottles with a gentle 'c***k'. Once she had had a small drink she set the bottle down and began to eat, starting with the eggs, which were nice and well cooked and went perfectly with the selection of meat they were eating. The little biscuits were different... She took her time eating the dish, eyes occasionally flickering upwards.
When they had finished eating she stood up and stretched, tiny childlike hands wringing momentarily. Waling over to the couch where she had fallen asleep she plucked up her school blazer, daintly doing up the buttons up around her small slender, yet womanly frame. Clutching her tiger themed hoody to her chest, she slipped her feet into her shoes, turning back to Johnny, offering a grateful smile; "Vhanks vor 'aving me. I 'ad a good time."
