"But wait!" Aria shouted.
Victoria was undoubtedly too far away to hear her now. Aria turned and started towards the park. She replied to Dante:
I'm coming but Victoria won't be there.
While walking, Aria's mind drifted back to the look Victoria gave her. It was that same look people used to give her years ago. Aria made a face of her own and reached the park. Not able to get that image out of her head, Aria found Dante and set her stuff down.
"Yo." she said, peeved.

Dante heard someone speak. It was Aria and she was alone. "She ran away from you didn't she?" he said as he laid there. He noticed that Aria was mad, "What's wrong? Do I have to murder someone?" he said the last part jokingly. He continued to lay on the table just staring up at the roof.

Aria didn't want to tell Dante that she was mad at Victoria. Okay, more than mad.
"Yes she did and no. Anyway, what's up? I gotta head back soon or Trisha's gonna kill me."

"Aria why are you mad?" he said in a calm content manner. "Why do you have to hide things so much? It's not like I'll flip or anything." he put his arms under his head to prop it up. "But if you insist on changing the subject. The party tonight will be low key. Not much to it. You can come or you can stay home. No one that we hate will be there." he took out a piece of paper and wrote the info down. He included the time that she was supposed to call him: 10 pm. He handed her the paper.

Aria took the paper and stood.
"I'm angry because Victoria shot me a look I haven't seen in three years. I mean I'm not even with them like that, but people assume without actually knowing. Know what? It's whatever. How about you just take Victoria? I'll find something else to do."

Dante shot up at Aria's words. "What do you expect Aria? You just don't go and hang around someone after three years if you didn't want it." Dante was beginning to get angry. "Now that you find Kara, Veto, and those ******** pricks you want to ditch me. Did you forget who saved your a** from that? Did you forget what happened because of him?" He was not infuriated. He paced back and forth. "So yeah. Why don't you find something else to do. I'm sure you're going to run back to dear ol' Veto."
Dante walked off in a rage. He had the last straw with Veto and everyone else. The relationship with Aria was probably ruined now and she would forget about him. Just like she forgot how about Veto is. He needed some time to himself and he headed towards the usual tree.

Aria was speechless. The person she looked to had just said that to her. He walked away and left her standing there. She started walking but turned around and ran up to him, tears streaming down her face. <******** you!" she shouted at him before running in the opposite direction. She kept running until she reached that familiar street, and that familiar building. She walked in, unafraid and saw Kara.
"You look awful." Kara said when she saw Aria.
"Yeah." Aria laughed.

Dante could care less about what just happened. She turned her back on him. She's the one that promised to never talk to Veto again. She's the one running back to him. Deep down inside Dante was crying. Everything was falling apart. If this is what she wanted then let it be. She would have to crawl on her knees and beg for mercy before he would save her again. The plan was in full effect and if Aria got in the way then that would be her fault. Veto and everyone else deserved to pay. Not just pay for what they did but for how Dante felt.
Dante went over to the tree and sat down. He would go to the party tonight and live it up. He would try to find Victoria and build things up with her. He knew that Victoria would not betray him like Aria and Dante liked this fact. There was something different about her and he liked her. As a person and maybe more. Only time would tell.

"He really said that?" Kara asked, suprised.
Aria nodded. They had been sitting there for about an hour just talking.
"So it's like...he chose her over you."
"I wasn't asking him to choose anything. I wasn't even expecting him to take my side. I just didn't think he'd say something like that."
"Well maybe he was just mad."
"I don't care anymore Kay, and I didn't really come here to talk about it."
Just then Aria's phone rang. It was Trisha. Aria ignored it and sent her a text.
I'm not coming back to work today, maybe not even tomorrow, I don't know. Anyway, I couldn't answer the phone, I'm busy.
Trisha tried Aria three more times until finally just calling Dante.
"This boy better answer."

"So she ditched you for Veto? Because people are thinking that she's going back to her old ways. Dante just let things cool off. It's been a crazy few days. Just forget about it and come have a good time tonight. Maybe you can bring Victoria?" Xavier said
Dante had called him to cool down.
"If I can find her I'll ask. Aria associating with Veto and his gang earlier may have scared her off for good. I have another call coming in so I'll see you tonight." Dante told him
"Alright man. Leave that s**t at home. It's a night to relax not worry." XAvier said before hanging up.
Dante checked his phone and saw that the other person was Trisha. He clicked over.
"What's up Trisha?"

"WHERE THE HELL IS YOUR FRIEND AND MY ******** EMPLOYEE?!?!?!" Trisha half shouted half whispered through the phone.
She had closed the store early since she was hungry and Aria was all of a sudden M.I.A.
"What the hell does she mean she's busy?!"

"Well I don't know where my friend is. Victoria gave her a dirty look earlier. So she got made about people assuming that she is becoming her old self and she ditched me for the night. I kinda snapped on her and left" he said the word kind of sarcastically. "She's probably busy hanging out with Kara or Veto. Not my problem anymore." he gave a friendly nod to a passerby.

Victoria continued walking, pondering on where she should go now. She really didn't want to make the trip back home. She didn't have anyone to hang out with...did she? Dante's face came up instantly in her mind and she sighed. That wouldn't work, who knew what he was doing. Aria and Dante were probably laughing about her right now. She could see them talking about how a coward she was..running away from their "group". She scowled and continued thinking. If she wanted to go where no one would find her...if she...
An idea popped in her head. The park! A smile now on her face, she turned around and headed down the way she had come, until she was back in town. She passed the mall and bakery, until she came to a huge grassy area, and picnic tables set up for birthdays and party's. She scanned the area and found someone sitting under a tree, but she didn't give them much thought as she headed down the hill, stopping a few feet from the lake.
Looking around the park for geese, feeling bad she didn't have any bread to feed them this time, she stopped at the occupied tree once again and noticed a guy that looked very familiar. Was that..Dante?
She gasped and almost fell into the lake. What was he doing here?!She remembered the first words she had said to him. She remembered asking if he was okay, and he had replied yes...but he had looked as if he was thinking hard about something, or not really there in reality with her.
She stared at the familiar figure and dared to walk closer. A few yards more, and she knew it was him. Before knowing what she was doing, her feet and carried her a few feet away from him and she took a breath in. Nothing came out of her mouth when she opened it though, and she felt like a moron.

Trisha made a face at her phone because of the tone of Dante's voice.
"Weeeeellll, if you hear from her, tell her to call me."
With that, Trisha hung up and walked to her house, grumbling all the way there.

Aria awoke to the ringing of her phone.
"Hello?" she said groggily.
"Aria! I have been calling you for the last 30 minutes! Where are you?"
"Mom? I'm out."
"Out where exactly? Are you at some party with Dante? Are you drinking?"
"No, mother. I'm not out with Dante."
"And are you drinking?!"
"Bye mom."
"Ar-"
Aria hung up and layed back down on the cold ground. Kara had gone to meet up with one of Veto's friends. She apparently really liked the guy. Aria stayed back and before she knew it, had fallen asleep.

Dante put the phone away. He noticed someone in front of him that was a few feet away. He looked up from their feet and saw it was Victoria. Maybe she wasn't done with him. He had to explain Aria before it was to late.
"Vicy I'm sorry for what happened earlier. Aria told me what happened. It's not what you think. Maybe what you think about her, but trust me, I am not part of them. I can explain everything if you give me a chance." he said as he stood up. He reached out his hand to her in trust. It was his way of testing to see if she trusted him still and if she would listen. "If you want to hear it, then take my hand. Remember you only know half of the situation and it's not my side." he looked at her with trust in his eyes. The way he presented himself showed that he wanted mercy and that she could trust him.
