He watched as Levi started to prod him into a battle, to match her steps. Oh yes. It was on all right. The boil slipped his thumbs into his pockets, and began matching her, step by step.
"Fine moves, little lady. Let's see how long you can keep it up?" He said with a sly grin.

Try as he did, Jericho just could not keep up so he was fairly glad when their dance was over. Perhaps he should try to brush up on those skills, seeing how he felt rather humiliated right now for failing so hard in a mini-contest. Shaking his head to himself, he furrowed his brow as the music changed. It... certainly wasn't something he enjoyed normally, but he could see a sort of shift in Levi.
And then it began. The hoe down between the tatzel and cowboy. Laughing, but not in a mocking manner, he grinned and watched the little display. He was more than content to sit out of this one.

Though he didn't say anything, Shun thought that Levi had looked like she was dancing with a rag doll a moment ago. Shaking his head slowly, he watched briefly as two of the others began a little dance off, then glanced towards Mitsu.
"How is it?" he asked her, seeing that she had taken a bite now.

Cady started at the refreshment table fitfully. She'd long since finished the punch and spookie in her hand, and had left the cup on a table somewhere- she couldn't really remember, she'd been too distracted watching the light show Ash had put on. That had really only been a taster for the hungry ghoul, though. The smell of spiced meat lured her closer, but the HUGE crowd of people made the idea of getting close to the table... difficult, at best. Deacon and Emily were somewhere in there - she'd seen the boil wave, but had no idea how to make it over to him. She thought she spotted Christof in the throng of people as well, but... No way. It couldn't be him, obviously, because he was talking. Maybe he had a twin. She was distracted from this rather interesting idea as one of the few people who'd been dancing suddenly separated from her group a little at the change of song. This new track was...bizzare, but catchy. Cady could feel her tail swinging a little to the beat. She watched, fascinated, as Levi clicked her heels and swished her skirts in rhythm to the song. Was THAT dancing? That looked so much more fun than the other stuff. Yelling over the crowd, she called out to her dates, oblivious to the fact that this might be incredibly embarrassing. "HEY GUYS, THIS LOOKS REALLY FUN, YOU SHOULD COME OUT HERE YOU KNOW!" Without preamble, she followed the other ghouls movements a little off to the side, on the edge of the dance floor. To her extreme surprise she found it rather easy, and was only maybe a split second behind as she got used to the beat of the song. What had she been worried about? Dancing was fun.

Can keep it up better than ya'll, I reckon, boil! Another set of steps transforming the song into not just another square dancing song, but a theatrical experience. Arms out, she slid across the floor this time, ending with one leg toe down in Mot's direction.

There was a light smile as Mitsu pulled the meatball away from her face. "It's so good." She nearly cooed. It was indeed the best food she had partaken of in a long time.
Her eyes then turned to the dance floor again watching what seemed to be a dance off of some sort. Looked like Levi and...was his name Mot? could really dance! "Wow... I've never seen anyone dance like that before." It was mesmerizing, the lupine currently forgetting her food as she watched.

West set his own plate down and took a seat next to Holly. Only after they were both sitting down did he remember he probably should have pulled her chair out before she sat, especially with the sheer number of items she had managed to take. He glanced at her impressive haul and chuckled. "Y'think you took enou..."
As quickly as the smile appeared on his face it slipped away when the next song began and Ash announced who it had been dedicated to. Levi. He spun in his seat and glared at the dance floor, searching for the pale ghoul and her long, cheatyface tail. There. He balled his fist, unconsciously ready to smack it on the table, until he saw what the troublesome ghoul was doing. Was that dancing? His hand settled back onto the table much more gently than it seemed it would a moment before, and West's smile returned.
"Yeah, I see a'coupl'a people. Jericho, Christof... that chick." Fine, maybe he didn't know as many people by name as he had thought.

Jericho stood by, grinning as he watched the two, fairly impressed with their footwork really. It was also a bit of a surprise that Levi could dance so well. It wasn't because of her tomboyish ways but because she seemed so apprehensive about it earlier.

Pausing as he ate, Shun looked up to watch the dance off a little more. Growing up in a city, he hadn't really seen many things like that himself. It wasn't necessarily a bad style though.
"They are pretty impressive," he commented. It was hard to tell which of the two were actually better. They seemed pretty equal as far as he could tell.

"Pretty big claim there. I'm fairly certain I can outlast you." Mot said, puffing out his chest in pride. He slid as she did, a foot stepping out in her direction as well. It was obvious his dancing was getting much more energetic. He was so into this battle. He was barely aware anyone else was there now, even those seeming to watch the battle. The dance floor was a battle field!

Holly rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Just gonna try it." Not like she could watch her figure at all, being dead and all. She wasn't even going to mention how much West had taken to eat. Then again with all his rage he probably burnt it all off pretty fast.
She then heard the song being announced. Levi? That ghoul actually came! She glanced around and saw the other ghoul on the dance floor. Wasn't a bad dancer either! Holly glanced at West and noted the almost upset look. Was was his problem? Or not for he was smiling a moment later.
Oh well. With that she started to eat, so many things to try! Looking around the area she noted a few different people. That chick? Who? Oh. "Lizzy you mean?" Or she thought he might have meant. "Interesting song right? Never heard this one before." Or many songs for that matter.

Shehk was a bit too traditional to be able to work any sort of 'hoedown'. Definitely not that talented. Especially in her dress. She probably could have just stood with Christof and looked pretty the entire evening and it would have been acceptable.
She was OK with being arm candy for a little while.
However, it seemed like the pair had spotted a familiar face! "Calder!" Shehk called out right after Christof, waving one arm at the kelpie, her tail wagging just a bit more. She had to suck it up and enjoy seeing people. As fun as it had been dragging Sammy down with her. That hadn't been fair of her.
However, Shehk had to admit that Calder's date was..intimidating. She'd never met the boil before, but there was something about that stare that made her insides turn. She squeezed Christof's arm nervously.

Invictus stood at Calder's side, nodding at the sloth demon and his date, though his expression was very impassive.
"Greetings." he said, one simple word, before he paused, catching another set of voices. The horseman paused, looking over his shoulder at the hunchback and his approaching date. He'd seen the young woman waved to earlier, and he was familiar with the man she was on the arm of from ..well.... they had a couple of run ins by that point, now hadn't they? That wicked smile from earlier had almost returned at the thought, but he held it in without so much as a hint of the idea.
"It seems you have more friends." Invictus said plainly, looking to Calder, then back to Shehk and Christof and offering them both a slight bow of the head.

Tomoko paused, her ears shifting between confused and delighted at the strange tune of music that had come on. Why, she'd never heard this strange sort of tune before! Her tails wagged a bit and she squeezed Jove's hand again, beaming.
"Seiji-kun, Junko-chan!" she chimed, practically dragging Jove with her as she moved in closer to the pair who had put their dancing on a small halt. Happiness. Pure happiness everywhere.
This event was super! At least Tomoko thought so!
"I'm having lots of fun!" she beamed, then paused, looking at Jove, then at Seiji again, then grinning. "I'll be right back, Jove." she said, clearly expecting to return to the ghost boil's side as she took Seiji's offered hand.

This was what her Ma and Pa had taught her. They understood her position given her personality - the ghoul just wouldn't dance when the boils mockingly called on her. Of course, they'd get a rude awakening through brutal physical beatings and torn garments crying home to their mothers but it was this fact that kept her dancing in private. The tatzel loved to dance in her natural form as well; wriggling and swaying like a King Cobra in a trance, twisting to music with her tail.
At Mot's claim, the ghoul decidedly brought out some bigger guns. Yea? Take this, cowboil. She twirled around, picking at her skirt so it would fan out and swish in an eye-catching fashion. Side to side, feet rough- but flicking at the floor heel-and-toe showing her agility.

Woah now. Thems were some fancy moves! Mot was almost unsure if he could pull that off. "I may not have a pretty dress like you but~" Mot copied the moves, boots clicking against the floor as he moved from step to step, matching her in a more masculine fashion. He even twirled.
Yes, Mot O'Boyle rose to a challenge.

"Let's go get something sweet for you. Anything for me as long as it fills up my stomach." Vaith agreed, guiding Xiu towards the snack line. Regardless of what Xiu had said, Vaith was going to make sure that she had fun too. Knowing Xiu, in their short acquaintance, Vaith guessed that she might end up a little too caught up in the festivities to remember herself more often than not. Besides, other ghouls and boils had cameras right?
He could probably give some pumpkin seeds for the dancing pictures.
He was filling up a plate, watching people dance all around them to the beat. His plate was filled with almost everything, but only a little bit, making the entire meal a light meal. It seemed that like everything else, Vaith wasn't especially picky with his tastes.
"What's it going to be? Sit and eat or walk around, eat and take pictures?" Vaith asked, confident that Xiu, as the queen of multi-tasking, could do either.

West laughed as he stabbed some lepus with a plastic fork and brought it to his mouth. "Mmm hmm. Issit good?" Honestly he wouldn't have cared if she had dragged one of the food tables over and dove into it, he just liked to tease.
He looked back over his shoulder toward the dance floor, pointedly ignoring the fact that the tatzel was still present. "Yeah, Lizzy." She'd been there when he'd been ejected from the paintball trench for sucking. Momentarily sucking. "Y'know'er?" It seemed so. He wondered where from.
His jaw momentarily halted Devour Mode so he could listen to the song properly. "Interesting. Yeah." He might have considered dancing to it if only because it seemed everyone currently on the dance floor was preoccupied with their own business. But right now he had pathling to eat. Mmmm.

A sheepish exression crossed her face as she looked up at the nix. "I'm sorry, Gabe! I should have." And why yes, most likely much to the pleasure of the reaper beside her, LW blushed even more. A soft smile did cross her lips as Gabrian kissed her hand. "Yes. Yes you get claim to a dance, dear demon." Of course he would! The she-wolf turned her attention back to Sparrow. He also snagged her hand and placed a kiss upon it. The familiar and soft expression that had been there for Gabe was replaced by an almost shy one for Sparrow. She was still getting to know this boil where as she knew Gabe quite well.
"You're very welcome!" LW eyed the coat. "I think I like it too." She smiled and watched as Sparrow shook hands with all of them. A small laugh escaped as he winked. "You would be wrong my dear Sparrow. I have not grown tired of your pestering. Though sneaking up and scaring me on the other hand..." She shared a joking look with the boil.
That special smile she usually saved for Ren was directed at the gryphon. "He's been quite sweet." She promised him - and Gabrian. "Nothing but a gentleman." Her eyes flickered back at Sparrow before moving towards the dance floor. She really did have that urge to dance. Wait, hadn't Sparrow had a date before? LW blinked and looked at the boil. "Where is the lovely ghoul you were with before?" Would it seem rude of her to offer to dance with the boil if his date was waiting somewhere for him?
