EDIT: My creative writing textbook has finally arrived. I thought I would share the first thing I learned from it with everyone. Adverbs and adjectives... Kill them. Kill them with fire.
Well, it seems that adjectives and adverbs would be similar to spicing food - use them too much, and that's all you can taste, and it becomes unpalatable. Luckily, I already knew from On Writing that adverbs overkill is a very easy trap to fall into, and it helps pare down writing a lot to weed them out... it makes when you do use them all the more impactful.

Glad to hear the book is so useful, I may look into that.

Mr. Blackbird Lore
I appreciate it. I'm working on finding that right balance of frail and capable. Actually, I take a lot of cues from my own grandpa who is sixty-six and still rather capable.

Yaya, definitely age does not make you FEEBLE, but the point of having this character class was to balance out the sheer power you carry around with you with physical frailty. It's possible we should have made the middle-age cutoff later, and started geezers at, say, sixty-five or so.

Arthuritis592
(and, may I say that I thoroughly enjoyed "lyrical lilt of alliteration" you witty GM you)

Ah, but did you also catch the "paint in some metaphors," hmmmmmmm? 8D So much wit.

Devath
Also, when I was in Cabal, I was just about on the same level as Bayer and Jokerman, dehderp XD. I dunno if Siber will agree with me tho. That's just how I felt.

Yah, I agree. I think I was about there, too, and just wrongly believed I was better, hehe.

Blackbird: ground-type moves affect ghost-types in Gen I and II, but not Gen III. This is because in Gen III, the idea of "abilities" was introduced, and all ghost-types in Gen I and II (haven't checked anything after) have "levitate," rendering them immune to ground-type attacks except in certain circumstances. Thus the disparity between the type-chart and the actual pages. Synapse's "mud slap" is, therefore, a double-damage hit (double from poison-type vulnerability) because this RP is based on up-to-Gen II rules. I apologize sincerely for all the confusion.

Apologies Stryker and Isa. I'll try to get my post up either late tonight or early tomorrow.

Magical temporal teleportation, really? Do something about the rocks that were gonna hit you, since nobody has done anything about them, and you didn't do anything about the rocks in your post either... The rocks are there, and they didn't go away.

EDIT: Ugh, that sounded really preachy, but yeah... the Rock Throw. Dunno how GMs wanna handle it though in this case, cause all the other circumstances got everyone but motorbike out of way of rock throw. Derp.

On the matter of energy. According to standard mechanics Roger is capable using the move Discharge (which my last post is themed on) fifteen times, plus the other three moves he's allowed to use, in a single fight. To me that seems pretty irrational, it would mean that Roger alone has the capacity to decimate a real world navel formation containing a loaded carrier and several offensive cruisers. I can't settle on a proper scale of things though, one of the points that steps out of me is the behavior of a pokemon's etheric reserves. I believe I've mentioned it in passing in a post or two, but I treat Roger as if he has two fuel cells, one houses a great deal of energy but is drawn from very slowly, a car battery for example, the other is more like a large chemical capacitor, it can hold lots of energy (though not nearly as much as the battery), and can dump it out near instantanously, though it takes time to recharge.

With this, the things Roger can do at one time are limited, and huge things such as this attack leave him weakened until he can recharge the capacitor, which drains the battery. For things like when he's flying the Eltpach, that draws basically at the rate that the battery can supply, so the capacitor stays full. Roger's battery would hold enough power for more than one discharge, but a full discharge is almost all of his capacitor and recharching it enough for another full discharge would take at least several minutes. I imagine in some way or another this is how all pokemon have it, and that prevents (in LoL terms) a pokemon from pulling it's ulty every turn.

I started writing this post like three hours ago, oh well...

I was wondering how long that would take... not that I have a problem with it xp

Also, when Tobias checks the bag later, he will have grabbed three granola bars, one bottle of water, and two packets of wet wipes (for each person in the group, there was one of each in easy reach in the sidecar), as well as a single Meal Ready-to-Eat (MRE), and any contents of Ramsden's bag that he does not currently have on his person, or that did not spill out and become lost. I'm writing it here because Toby didn't have time to check what he was tossing in the bag before he and Juno ran off, but I want to delineate what he grabbed in case it becomes important later.

eeeeeeeeeyup.

Isa-Sama will be taking care of posts for me. I have her email so she can send me updates on what's happened, then I can write my post and email it to her so she can log into my account and post for me. It's a hindrance on the RP, but I won't be gone completely for these 18 days. If I was going to be, seeing as we're pulling out in October for about a month, I would drop from the RP as I would become nothing more than a nuisance holding everyone up to wait for me.

That snorlax you just called fat? Yeah, it's eating rare candies by the DOZEN for you to accept it. That gastly you just called ugly? It's been trying to learn a new move to replace its Mean Look. That slowpoke you just tripped? He has a learning disability that makes him legally retarded. See that hitmonchan with the scars? He fought in Vietnam for your freedoms today.
