Rahu snorted and picked up the pace a bit more. it had been a while since he had a good run. " true enough but i dont see why everyone has to make a fool of themselfs and have foals." his nose flared a bit from picking up the pace. " and if they even do like me i cant see why."

Khairi broke out in a smooth canter and continued the conversation. "Fools of themselves? You were brought into the world only by the grace of two such fools." He shook his head, smiling slightly. "But it doesn't matter because I agree. I've never had children."
For a moment the stallion was quiet, contemplating Rahu's last statement. "As for why they like you... they must see something in you that appeals to them. Or maybe they are too naive to recognize trouble when they find it." He glanced quickly at Rahu. "No offense ment, of course."

Rahu stoped in place rather quickly at Khairi's first statment. it was something that hit a nerve in him. " both my parents where fools. but i wont be explaining anything about." he snaped at Khairi in annoyance and anger. " and they are to stupid to figure im someone not to come around." snorting he starting walking again, slow, then faster.

Khairi skidded to a halt and regarded Rahu expressionlessly as he spoke angrily. As the other stallion resumed his pace Khairi hesitated, wondering for a moment if he should continue following. Well... at least this was more interesting than sitting around grazing all day. The blue stallion twitched his tail and then broke into a canter, easily catching up to Rahu.
"I wouldn't expect any expilination. After all, I just met you." Khairi forced himself to smile pleasantly. "I don't know my parents, but they could have been fools." He doubted it though.

Rahu snorted and keeping uping the pace a little. " well i know atlest my mother was the fool, though i figure my father the same." he said in a angered and bitter tone. this was actualy the first time he did not blow up completely about that subject. not even saying anymore, he was trying to clear his mind by always picking the pace up a bit.

The pace increased to a slow gallop and Khairi delighted in the sight of the ground speeding away beneath his hooves. He glanced at Rahu next to him in time to catch a bitter look on his face before it dissapeared. The blue stallion listened in silence to the other male's comments.
For a while the only sound was the pounding of hooves on wet earth and the smooth breathing timed to each stride. Finally Khairi spoke. "Have you ever met your father?" He knew it was risky to even continue on the topic, but he was curious. And Rahu seemed to have calmed down... so far, so good.

Rahu snorted. " no i never knew him. only knew my mother for a little while.but enough talking about my own past."picking up the pace even more, he had forgotten how much he enjoyed running. a smirk came across his face. " think you can out match a wild black stallion like me Khairi." making the pace faster, he was leting him self loose.

Khairi continued alongside the black stallion, but slowed a bit when he remembered he didn't know the path well. At all, actually. But Rahu's challenge brought out his competitive side and he grinned and lept forwards.
"Of course. You never asked me about my past, but I never said I was tame either!" Springing forward, he put on another burst of speed and hurtled around a bend in the trail. The path was slick with mud and covered in loose leaves and branches from the storm, but he didn't slow up.

Rahu actual knew this area well and went all out in a bust of speed with a smirk still across his face. " why should i ask someone i just met about there past. now lets see how well you run!"this was the first time Rahu was acutaly acting different than usual. maybe it was because he was just leting himself run wild and loose like he use to. but who know's, he kept on running.

Khairi scrambled around a corner, gathered his legs under him, and shot forwards following Rahu. Coming up next to him so that the two were neck and neck, he spoke.
"Is there a finish line I should look for?" He asked, smirking back. "Or are you just going to run?"
Wouldn't be much of a race without a finish line, but then again, he was a guest of a sort and shouldn't really complain. He snorted at the thought and grinned. Yeah, right.
** Haha! I'm trying to roll dice. I'm rolling a 20 sided die because it's more fun. And if I get between 1 - 5, Khairi'll have... problems. Simply because I dun wanna make it too easy. *is silly* Yeah. Whatever.**

Khairi nodded but didn't reply, lending all of his concentration to the task at hand. A good thing, too; a branch rolled beneath his hooves and only through quick manuvering was he able to keep his footing and his pace. The blue stallion grinned in a rush of adrenaline and stretched out his neck. His stride lengthened as he increased the pace.
Up ahead, through the trees, he thought he caught the glitter of sunlight on quick-moving water. At the same time the sound of water over rocks reached his ears. They were close.

Rahu pinned his ears back and concetrated on running. hearing the water and seeing they where close only made him push himself faster. leting his powerful musles pound his hoofs into the ground and making him go faster. he increased his speed adn then only heared the pounding of both there hoofs.

Another bend in the trail, and then they were on a downhill slope towards the creek bed. Khairi caught a brief glimpse of a waterfall to their right - so that's how I saw it through the trees - and then he was sliding and scrambling in the loose rocks of the hill. He hit the water with a splash that reversed all the effects the sunlight had had, and sent a spray up into his face.
The water was cool and refreshing, but the spray had prevented him from seeing who had been first. Khairi snorted out water and shook his drenched main. He'd heard Rahu enter the water as well, but he wasn't sure when. As he blinked away water and opened his eyes, he found Rahu next to him, soaked as well.
"So." Khairi said, grinning. "Was I fast enough for you, desert boy?"

Rahu went sliding into the water right when Khairi did too. snorting and shaking his mane as he got out, he turn to Khairi with a smirk. " dont be calling me boy, but i say your not half bad." closing his eyes a min and looking up at the sky, the water had felt good after that run. " and i have to admit that was the most fun i have had in a long time."
