Poor, poor confused Alumo. Didn't he feel like an idiot? Can't even tell a boy from a girl, and now he couldn't even jump well enough to land onto an orca that seemed to want nothing more than to give everyone a ride. (Were orcas supposed to be this friendly and helpful?)
So amused was he that Ganymede almost didn't notice the Captain throwing his staff at him. Thankfully, he made note of it at the last second and was able to dodge out of the way, keeping as much of a hold on his whale as he could in an attempt not to slip off.
He looked back toward Alumo with a frown on his face, not at all pleased, but when he saw him looking so wet and pathetic he couldn't help but laugh again.
"Missed me~!" he taunted and gave him a teasing wink and a wave. "Better luck next time!"

Castille dreaded going to sleep that night. After trying to explain how cuts on her arms just freakin appeared, her father decided that maybe she needed to speak to a counselor. And nothing says awful like trying to explain to that person that you aren't in angst, you just fell asleep and landed into a magical land where people with super powers were fighting, and a flaming cat shot rocks at you that caused the cuts.
It was obvious that the lady thought she was nuts.
But Castille wished the lady had been to her school, or around Destiny City lately. As she walked around, more than a few classmates and townsfolk bore different injuries, ranging from a few bruises on their legs that she noticed at gym, to black eyes and cuts that needed stitches. Her mother was concerned; maybe it was a gang?
But Castille thought, maybe they were having the dreams too.
So she lay in her bed, not wanting to dream, but wanting sleep so badly. When she finally did drift off, she landed on her knees in in some frozen land, near water that had ice floes dotting it intermittently. She stared at the dark gray water, and continued to stare until she heard shouting.
There were the fighters again.
But this time, it seemed that everyone was running the same direction....and there were whales! Dozens of them....and then people were leaping toward them, a few landing neatly on their backs, a few landing wobbly. Castille gasped and stood up, feeling her legs stiff from the impact of her landing. She took off after them, managing to catch up with the back of the pack. She looked at on orca that was a very vibrant shade of lime green who was chattering at her incessantly. She shook her head, then smiled.
At least there were no flaming cats this time.
She cried out and leapt at the orca, landing on it's slippery back with a small thud.

Zircon urged her trusty steed forward, her brow furrowed in annoyance. "We need to go faster!" she hissed at the beast, watching with envious eyes as others took off for an island up ahead, clearly rushing faster. She must have picked the wrong orca or something: this one seemed more liable to take a nap than to get her anywhere. With a growl, she slapped against it's flank, hoping to give it stronger motivation.
The creature sighed, which let out a frothy steam of ice-cold water from it's blowhole. Zircon was now angry, wet, and cold, and she could guess from her past experiences that this was all going to roll over when she woke up. Soggy pajamas were serious business, at least from the way Zircon looked down at the purple animal murderously.
There was one advantage to the slower ride, however: it gave her the time to notice several other Negaverse agents who hadn't been so lucky with their jumps. Hailing Captain Alumo with a quick wave, she reached out with a helping hand to the European officer, who she hadn't met in person but seen in passing. "Captain," she greeted, her tone formal and stiff.

Moonstone grinned back at Fayalite - as crazy as this dream was, it really was a lot better than the Lava Field...and kind of fun. Riding a lime-green Orca wasn't quite like riding her beloved horses...but it wasn't too different if she totally ignored reality. "Yeah, well...let's just hope it doesn't get any crazier than this!"
Race? "You're on!" Brown eyes watched as Fayalite put her heels to the orange orca as though it were a horse and like a horse, it took off in a burst of speed. Pandora was excited - she hoped her mount would be just as quick, that would certainly make for a memorable 'ride' - unfortunately, it seemed that her critter was sickly or lame or just ******** slow because it absolutely did not "shoot" forward like Fayalite's did (or like half of the damned rainbow-coloured suckers did); instead it moved sluggishly. There was no way in hell she'd catch up, but half the fun was in trying.

Alumo cursed angrily at the back of Ganymede's head, wishing he could swim fast enough to catch up to that little brat and teach him a lesson, before he realized one of the local officers was waving to him, and then offering some help up. He paused for a moment, trying to remember her name from the very speedy briefing he got on the officers in Destiny City. Zircon, perhaps? If his memory didn't fail him, of course.
He nodded in response, reaching out to take hold of her hand as she helped him up onto the whale. "Lieutenant," he greeted in return, still frowning to himself as he climbed up and onto the animal, trying to get comfortable on it's back, behind her... and hoping that this orca wasn't going to kick them off... or maybe animals just didn't like him?
The Captain paused again, frowning to himself, before muttering a quick "thanks". He didn't exactly like admitting that he needed help, but this time he kinda did. At least he was now out of the water, but still soaking wet.

Zinkenite's Confidence was flagging, the number of senshi running to the finish line was just... well there were so many. No...No they beat them once before they could do it again. Numbers could NOT mean everything, they had ideas, they had organization...they could do this!!
... if... he could land well on a rainbow orka.
Good god he hated this world.

-This... this was obviously a dream. There was no way she'd ended up in a freezing rainbow ice land full of senshi and negaverse and rainbow orca that wasn't a dream. And yet.. there was something different about this place. Her aggression to fight was subdued, instead filled with a sense of wonder and awe. Sailor Juno had seemingly forgotten about anyone and anything to instead simply explore the place they'd ended up.
The declaration of a race however.. and the sudden appearance of rainbow bridges had flared up something else inside of her. Competitiveness. Even as a grin grew across her face, a pleased laugh. As soon as possible she'd set out across the somehow tangible rainbow as fast as her feet could possible carry her.
It was hard NOT to be distracted in this magical place. Magical place full of people singing strange words, many of which she didn't even really understand. But she'd kept her head in it nonetheless, somehow pushing away any thoughts of how truely and ridiculously cold it was.
The jumping, racing orca however had finally worked to get her attention. She watched how quickly they seemed to zoom past with their happy giggles. Watching other racers pull past her she got an idea. Slowing down, she waited and as the next orca surfaced with a colorful spray of water droplets and she leapt, attempting to catch a ride.-

Alcyone continued to run alongside the senshi and the negaverse, not paying any heed to either groups. Instead, she began to think if she should take up on Atlas's offer to jog in the morning, as she felt she wasn't doing half bad in this seemingly never ending sprint race. She hadn't even begun to feel tired, which was a drastic difference of what it was like the last time she tried to run on a treadmill. Perhaps all she needed was confidence and real terrain to dig her heels into. Or maybe it was just the orcas.
She waved at the whales that swam nearby, clicking and cheering them on. They certainly had a way to make her believe that nothing would get in her way if she simply believed in it hard enough. One of them even looked like he wanted to help, propelling himself out of the water with a force of its tail.
Alcyone laughed, and leaped off the path. She landed on her target, and just as she did, she could feel him swim a bit slower. It may have been harder to move with extra weight on his back, but Alcyone didn't mind. She pet the rubbery skin beneath her in appreciation and enjoyed the ride.

Among them was a little creamy-colored guardian cat running on a rainbow-bridge. She didn't know why she had appeared in Elysion again. She hadn't certainly wanted to but now, seeing how this zone was like, she didn't complain. The place had light-spirited mood and seemed like that there was not so much fight going on. Everyone were just racing againgst each other. Perhaps she didn't have to worry so much about safety of Hypnos this time. Not that she didn't want to find her.
Cora leaped the leap of faith with others, trying to get on the island they were heading on. Unfortunately for her though, her leap wasn't that powerful and she ended landing on right on top of the head of someone. Blinking, she looked at her landing point, finding the sulking rainbow leopard under her. "Oh, you. Sorry," she said with voice that was neither angry nor pleasant. Not wanting to spend any time that was unnecessary on top the potentially dangerous guardian, she quickly leaped on the back of the nearest orca that was swimming next to them. When the orca was taking her further, she glanced back at the leopard, an apoletic look on her face.

((Decided to put both my girls in. They'll be in the same post next time))
-At first she thought she was dreaming of home... the first blissfully beautiful dream in a long strings of nasty nightmares.. both vivid and not. This one though.. it was like the ones she remembered. The crisp snow landscape.. the beautiful colored lights stringed across the sky.. perhaps it was homesickness that made it all seem so much more beautiful then any real world place could ever be.
Her dwelling thoughts were not long lived however, as soon her peaceful dream was interrupted by the pressence of many many others. She could only be thankful that everyone seemed a little more.. at peace here. That they weren't tearing apart what she saw as her own home.
As they took up to racing Sailor Polaris set out too, albeit a bit slower, towards the back of the group. She'd never been a sprinter, but perhaps her dancing background would give her a bit more endurance. Perhaps like the old addage said, slow and steady could win this race. Let them all wear themselves out while she stayed in top shape, she could worry about a little sprint at the end when everyone else was already spent.
Her eyes lingered longingly over the landscape as she ran.-

He missed A WHALE! That was like missing the broad side of a barn! He couldn't even believe that he missed the damn thing, and he fell down off the rainbow bridge, past the rainbow flipping whales, and down into the COLD @%&$! WATER! Why couldn't any of these places have nice weather?! What he wouldn't give to be in that wing world with the bird guy again. It was at least warm and manageable.
Pulling himself out of the water, the slender, short captain looked nothing more than a wet dog. His uniform clung to his body, showing off a clear lack of any muscular bulk. As a whale passed by, he reached out, trying to find a place to hold before he found a fin and gripped it. Gasping, he started to shiver and glared daggers at another officer. "I hate this damn place." He huffed, and tried to climb up on a more stationary whale. He needed to get out of that blasted cold water.
He watched as senshi and nega alike passed by and a few splashed down into the water. Guess jumping on a whale was harder than it looked. Pushing himself up, he managed to drag himself up on the whale before catching his breath. Ohhhhh! He was so COLD!
Shivering, he started to slowly ease up on the whale to stand, and then looked down at the other officers. "Come on. We have to catch up!" he shouted at Alumo and Zircon before taking off, jumping on the whales that were just swimming slowly in the water.

It was hard to ride an orca whose skin was like slippery rubber. Cora didn't want to use her claws for better grip, she didn't want to hurt the friendly creature who was so nicely giving her a ride. But it was so hard to hold still and manage her position on it's back. It was only a matter of time when she would slip in the freezing water.
It was embarrasing mostly. Even though she didn't mind water, she hated the feeling of cold water wrapping over her. Her first thought was that the leopard would laugh at her and she didn't want to be present to hear that. So, she swam further from his direction. With a help of another friendly orca, she managed to get another ride. This one was slower but also more careful, like it would sense that riding was harder for this little kitty who was trying to hold on tightly and wishing she would not get cold.

There were no more aurora-roads in sight -- and unfortunately, the excited energy present in every combatant seemed to be increasing with each step instead of decreasing -- but thankfully there was enough room to at least run around in circles, if nothing else. However, this island would prove to not be empty like the others were. Soon everyone was able to pick up a new set of cries coming from all directions, and they very distinctly weren't the cries of orca. The arrival of dozens of waddling, rainbow-hued, vaguely bowling-pin shaped silhouettes locked the final piece of the puzzle into place. Penguins. This island was inhabited by a colony of happy, overly colorful penguins. They were squawking in a disturbingly beautiful harmony in order to catch the attention of all the racers... and as soon as they were sure everyone was watching, they waddled towards what appeared to be the entrance of a large ice cave formed withing the glacier. One by one, they leapt at the mouth of the cavern, landing on their bellies and gracefully siding inside! No doubt about it... they wanted to be followed!!For this leg of the race, you have to slide through the ice cavern! Whether you slide on your belly or on your back is up to you.

He thought that nothing could surprise him about Elysion, not after he spurt wings out of his back and took on the senshi in the air. He had missed the second zone battle but he had heard some crazy things about it so he thought he would be prepared for this zone.
When the orca's spelled a rainbow 'make a wish!' he could handle that, when they started running he could handle that too. What he couldn't handle, and as a result could not keep his surprise under control, was when they pretty much told him to get the ******** on.
He had been running fairly steadily and had been managing to avoid catching the eye of a senshi, or even a civilian, because as much as he liked a good fight he had pretty much figured out it would be a race to the finish. So he did what he did best, he ran like someone was after him.
When the orca made clicking noises at him he slowed, stared at it, then figured why the hell not and jumped hands extended to catch one, it seemed to go well when he found himself staring at a pack of penguins, he followed them to the mouth of the cavern watching as they jumped, landed on their bellies and went sliding down.
Labyrinthite took a moment to consider it before he stepped a couple of paces back, ran forward and jumped on to the ice, landing on his butt and leaning back so he slid on his back.
Hey, it looked fun!

Scylla was loving it. Even if her Orca was slower than some others, the ride was amazing. Wind and sea salt whipped through her hair, and her hands reached out for straps that weren't there. Not reins, just straps. Loose things, the Scyllans had used... One couldn't rein a... what were they? As soon as the feeling of familiarity had came it had vanished, leaving Scylla clinging to the rainbow-hued Orca for dear life.
She didn't stop laughing.
When she landed on the island, for a moment she was flummoxed. Keep going, part of her said. There is nowhere to go to from here, another said. Until the penguins appeared. Okay, this was... ric**kulous.
It didn't stop her from flinging herself forward, squalling as she slipped in the ice. She'd wanted to go in gracefully, feet first, but instead she was on her belly, sliding head first.
Butt in the air, Scylla went sliding gracelessfully after the penguins.
