"Mmmm," Sunrise made a noise sounding like a moo. She laid her head on Emily's shoulder and closed her eyes. "Thanks for always being there for me."

Emily laughed and then changed the subject. "You said you liked my mum. Why? She's the one where we make one wrong move, and she smacking us upside the head and we're grounded in an instant. My dad always told us that we could do what ever we wanted as long as we didn't get caught making trouble, we didn't get hurt, and my mum didn't find out."

"She still cares!" Sunrise said, suddenly defensive. "I would give anything to have even a mother, so don't take her for granted."

"Oh I don't Sun." Emily rose her hands up defensively. "I love my mum, but sometimes she just seems a little too over protective. I remember once, I wound up trying to break up a fight, and a teacher walked up. Well the rules are clear when they state that we're not to get involved with a fight at all so I wound up in detention. "My dad mildly scolded me, but my mum was screaming and I was grounded the second she heard about it."

"I know Sun." Emily smiled and wrapped an arm around Sunrise. "There are times that the only thing keeping me from beating her over the head with my broom is the fear of being grounded so I can't hang outside with my siblings, and then there are times I wouldn't leave her side if it meant I would spend the rest of my life in Azkaban."
