Thria quickly ran towards the barn, trying to make as little noise as possible. She entered the large barn and closed the door behind her, but not completely. It would have been very unwise to shut herself in. She tried her best not to breath in case Marit came past. Thria gulped and hoped for the best.

Lucy sat down, not feeling bored in the slightest, she could play this game for ever.

Susan quickly ran down the tree and ran to Lucy hiding space for the tree branches were crackling under her feet. Jumping in she smiled Gleefully at Lucy.

Thria kept her breath held tightly as she remained hidden in the building. At least in here she wasn't as likely to be found. She almost giggled at the thought-she went from having no family and no home to having a whole bunch of new friends. As soon as she heard herself giggle, she gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth. Even though she was new to this game, she didn't want to give herself away!

Marit walked back towards the house and decided to sniff a bit. Her nose at the ground she smelt Susan. Smiling gleefully she headed toward the waterfall.

Lucy giggled at Susan and sank into the shadows in a corner smiling.

Susan returned the smile and hide in the corner hopping Merit did not find her.

Morgaine sat very still, watching the Daughter of Eve respond to the actions outside the cave. She was feeling a bit sad; after all she had placed upon this young child a terrible burden, and she did not know whether or not this was a good thing. What Lucy had seen in the well was Truth, and Truth was her gift. Evil could not touch her, and she would be able to keep her friends safe simply by being close to them. By spilling her own blood, she could create shields of magic, White, powerful magic which would kill any enemy in the blink of an eye. But this girl also Knew. She knew truth from wrong, saw truth in the eyes of strangers and friends, and for a young soul, this was terrifying. She could now recognize murderers and rapists. And they would shun her.
Morgaine sighed out loud. She knew Lucy had heard her, but she decided not to make herself known. Not yet. Instead she turned herself into a cool breeze whispering words of comfort to the little girl.
"Beware of the cloaked one...carry the knowledge with pride...be one with the White powers and you shall be in peace"
Noticing how this confused the girl, Morgaine scalded herself. She was long past the time when speaking in riddles was helping. She placed a light kiss on Lucy's forehead and simply said: "For the love of a stardaughter, Aslan once had to kill. Innocence will die in the final battle. Tell the warriors this."

Lucy felt the light touch on her forehead and heard the words whispered in her ear. She didn't understand them and if she was truthful was afraid. She ran without thinking to the mouth of the cave and looked around for the wolf desperately "I don't understand" she whispered to the fading wind.

Lucy sat down on the floor of the rocky cave confused and not in the mood to play anymore. "Innocence shall die in the final battle" she muttered.
