Lena
Lena looked up from her book and saw that Professor Kalle was about to start the lesson. She saw Professor run towards the forest and when the teacher came back, Lena wondered what was going on. They would be learning about the griffin so she figured maybe a griffin was going to come to the lesson. She already knew griffins well, having read a lot about them in her life. They were very nice creatures.
A few moments later, a griffin, Narquesses, did come. He had the head, chest and foreclaws of an eagle yet the rest of his body resembled a lion. When Professor Kalle asked them how big griffins grew, Lena tried to remember anything about their height or length but those numbers were always the ones she forgot or mixed up so she had absolutely no clue. Lena listen closely to the lesson and knew the answers to some of the other question that followed but every time she had been about to answer, someone had been faster then her.

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year Erien couldn't help the grin that spread over her face when she heard Professor Kalle take points away from Slytherin. She busied herself with jotting down notes, but muttered under her breath all the same: "Suckerrrrr..."

'And you, Eriena,' Kalle said, turning to face the newest addition to the class, 'Will also keep rude comments to yourself or points will be taken from Gryffindor as well.' She then rubbed her temples for a moment, trying to think of other facts about griffins that would be useful to the students. 'Does anyone have any questions about griffins?'

Cloud nodded. Is there some sort of genetics that make griffins appear to have the body parts of other animals? Do they actually have those other animal's genes, or are they just a whole 'nother species?

Eriena Emm – Gryffindor – 5th year Eriena pouted when the professor reprimanded her and wisely kept quiet from then on. She scribbled down more notes as Professor Kalle spoke, while doodling on the margins of her parchment during students' questions. One of them was a stick figure representing Antoinette being killed off by the griffin (not that anyone would realize who she was drawing if they saw; it was a stick figure. And the griffin looked pretty good for just a few chicken scratches).

'A brilliant question, Cloud! The griffin is a completely different species. Although the griffin has a body that resembles both an eagle and a lion, the different sections do not actually belong to the lion or eagle. In fact, the griffin had existed for a long time before the eagle and lion even came to be,' Kalle said. She hoped her explanation had made sense; after she finished saying it, she realized she had used the words eagle and lion multiple times. She shook her head. 'Any other questions?'

Antoinette Machiavelli— Slytherin ; Second Year Antoinette groaned. The class always dragged on for a lifetime because someone always had a damn question. She needed to vent her irritation, but how? Antoinette looked around at her classmates. There was Alex, Antoinette's favourite lackey, some Ravenclaw, a Gryffindor, another Ravenclaw, and...Ernie. Oh, Ernie. Antoinette smirked.
Completely thrilled, she whipped out a piece of parchment and her quill. She began scribbling furiously, her head cocked to match the slanted angle of her parchment. She drew Ernie, as a stick figure, being killed by off the Griffin (which looked pretty freakin' awesome for a bunch of seemingly random scribbles.)

Gryffindor Prefect Sparrow----Gryffindor ----3rdyear Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow scribbled down some more notes. She then raised her hand to ask a question about something she once read, "Professor, is it true that Griffins were once used as guards by wizards? I read that somewhere...."

'An excellent question, Sparrow! Yes, griffins were used as guards sometimes. They were once a popular method of protection, but as the species' numbers dwindled, so did their use as guards,' said Kalle with a smile.
