"B6 is a Miss! Just then, Iggy rolled over in her sleep and dropped a piece of paper on the ground. Scribbled upon it was J9. Surely this must have been her next intended move. Rain peered closely at the board. "Jackdammit! There goes my other Submarine! Igneous wins a silver pumpkin seed. Nevena, that brings you up next!" Rain pulled out the pumpkin seed and placed it in the sleeping stone ghoul's hand. Hopefully she would not drop it like she had the paper.

((Gonna post the pm to verify her request. Hope she won't mind.))

I can't stay up for another round but if you want you can have Rain find a scrap of paper in Iggy's hand with J9 scribbled on it to move the game a little further. (assuming no one picks it lol) if not that is ok as well!

Peppermint points? Candy? Score! Mandy was about two seconds from eating them before realizing that she had no clue what they where for... If they where important for wherever they where going then she best not. Sighing she put the peppermints in her pocket, she could always eat it later.

Good! She'd about to frown heavily at the fact that she hadn't gotten anything for helping to sink the submarine, but the mention of a peppermint point--whatever that was, made her brighten considerably. And then it was her turn again!

"Hmm... J5?" She ventured a guess. Getting two-for-two would be absurdly lucky, but...
PostPosted: Thu Dec 09, 2010 10:41 pm

"J5 is a miss! The misses so far have been D10, A1, F2, C3, I8, G7, C1, A2, D3, H5, D6, B6, E7, B4, J5, if anyone wants to take notes. You guys did well tonight. Rough start but you pulled through in the end." And it turned out that they didn't kill all the pirate ninjas on the aircraft carrier. Several rowboats were making their way towards the battleship, destroyers and even the cruiser! Yay, survivors!

((Image has been updated thus far. I really need to crash, it's almost 2am and I have to be up at 6am. Anyone that hadn't been able to make a guess with their character can do so while I'm gone. I just won't be able to announce if they are a hit or miss until tomorrow morning. Next round will continue at 11pm EST tomorrow night if that's not a problem. I don't have to get up early on weekends so it won't be as hard on me! Great play, guys! Hope you have a good night! ))

((It was lots of fun, Meeki! Sleep well, and thank you so much!!))

Alwine yawned, covering where her mouth would be if she had a head.

"I have a feeling you won't mind, but I apologize anyway..." Alwine leaned over and rested her neck on Bartholomew's shoulder. "Goodnight, you two, I'm so tired..."

(( Yatttttaaaaaaa! Thanks Meeki!! heart heart heart heart heart heart heart ))

Barth was not taking notes, but he was about to take a few Zs.

He hadn't had too many takers on group naps before, but it wasn't an idea he was opposed to. In fact, there should be a club.

Clubs were mandatory, weren't they?

If there wasn't one already, Barth would see to it that...someone else filled out the paperwork.

Sheeki stared out of the window and felt his eyes droop. They were playing in the dark, it's not surprising that they're tired. With his paper firmly held in one hand, Sheeki fell asleep.

((Thank you muchly Meeki! Crazy amounts of fun were had!))

A strange sort of sleep seemed to descend over the cabin for Iggy had fallen asleep during the game and now Alwine and Bartholomew were doing the same! For a moment Belladonna tried to fight it, shifting her weight for a moment, but then the fluffy coat seemed to grab her in its fluffiness and she cuddled up against the demon.

"Night everyone..." She cooed, curling up against him and falling fast asleep, one hand stretched out to grab a bit of Alwine's dress. Even in sleep she felt that there was power in numbers, especially on trains.

Hedera-Rose gasped. She'd been staring out the window all this time and had missed the entire game of Battleship! As well as a teacher, but eh; who cared about him?

"Uh," the demon spoke quietly, "I'd like to guess B9..." So there was the guess she'd made in all of...three rounds? Two rounds? She hadn't been paying attention. Jackdammit. That was why she was often discouraged from staring out the window: even the smallest little thing held her attention far too long.

Merope idly rolled his 30-sided dice in his hand watching it while he waited for his turn. Of all the places to find it, it was in his pocket! He bounced it a couple times, frowning at it. When would it ever show up when he needed it, instead of only appearing when he didn't? Either way, at least he knew where it was now. “Is it--” he began, stopping to draw in a breath. It wasn't anything to be alarmed of – certainly most would roll their eyes or shake their head in disbelief at what he was staring at.

His attention was caught and held by what was going on outside the window. To be sure, earlier it was easily forgettable: trees and trees and more trees. But a break in the trees allowed the former deep sea resident to get a real good look at the stars for the first time, sending him into a quiet awe. He continued to stare until the trees appeared again, cutting off his view.

The boil shook his head before carefully turning, making sure to keep his back to Rain while also keeping his tail next to the board game. He looked up – was everyone asleep? He shook his head, reaching over to tap the board. “Well,” he said quietly, “With everyone asleep... Can we continue for a bit? I'd like I-7.”

Well, the fight had passed and the lights had gone out. The shrill shriek from Belladonna had startled the demon, but not enough to really warrant any grand reaction which was probably best considering how much drama seemed to be floating about. Drama and apologizing. There was a lot of that going around, almost too much to bear, but she'd keep her chin up and maybe address the ghoul, Alwine, wasn't it, if she kept it up.

The brief arrival of the professor had been nice. He was cute, very cute and certainly looked like he needed a drink to help settle that nausea, but apparently he had business to attend to elsewhere. Pity, but she made a note to drop a visit when the need for career counseling came up. Instructions were given to take their seats so she opted to choose a seat near where everyone seemed to be congregating. She was debating on whether or not to sidle up to someone or another in terms of sitting partner, maybe the glowy, finned fellow. He looked rather interesting. Simone gave a sigh as she shifted herself, combing her hair with her fingers and began playing with ideas of maybe putting it up. She did have quite an impressive head of hair and she wouldn't fancy it getting tangled or get something stuck in it from wherever they were going.

There seemed to be another thing going around: hugs. A snuggley group, for the most part. Simone could definitely work with that and she knew Barth, at least to a small degree. The demon had been listening, but not intently enough to notice the game having gotten started. Only when folks seemed to be settled down to snooze did she look around the car. "Oh...Is it too late to throw in a guess?" She asked letting her hair fall from her hands. "If not, I'd like to guess F10." Giving a little sniff and shifting up to kneel on her seat, she looked to those that weren't drifting off just yet or at all. "Do we have to sleep? I'm not really tired...at all."

"URFFF"

"GEROFF ME"

"YOU'RE ON ME FIRST"

"NUH-UH YOU FIRST"

The banter went like this back and forth between the two distinctly gnome-like voices when suddenly and rather miraculously, the lights flickered back on. The first of the gnomes closed the power box, looking downright pleased with himself as he held up two reattached wires. "Lookit me Wally, I just hotwired a train!"

"Dude," Wally rolled his eyes. "You can't freaking hotwire a train, it was probably dumb luck."

"Dumb luck that you didn't get eaten by the trail chaser first, you excuse of your mom's sorry spawn." Retorted the first.

It was then that both gnomes probably noticed that a couple of students were staring at them. Hotwire gnome gave the entire cabin a thumbs up. "Power's working, there's an evil entity that is probably causing havoc on the train called the TRAIL CHASER, and supper will be in two hours if we remember. Have a great ride!"

Rain never slept. Zombies didn't require it nor did they tire like others. They could keep going and going and going and then go some more! Unfortunately, that hadn't prevented her from going into a trance like state, where she just sat with a glazed look in her eyes. She snapped out of it once she heard the gnomes and of course, the power flickered back on. It was nice to have power again and did they say supper would be arriving in a couple hours? She was more than a little hungry but not near the point of frenzy yet, thank Jack.

Trail Chaser? "What is the Trail Chaser," she called after the gnomes but from where she sat, she couldn't tell if they had already left or not. Was this Trail Chaser the bushy tailed orange thing? If they were in danger, why weren't they allowed to remove their pins? It didn't make sense to her and the gnomes said that he was evil. Not just bad but evil. She could only hope that most of the students hadn't heard them. She didn't want them to panic but then again, if they all knew, they could work together. Protect one another, watch out for signs. She believed in the power of teamwork.

She returned to her game to add in some of the last minute guesses. It was a miracle that she could recall them. "B9 is a Miss! I7 was already hit, unfortunately but you managed to kill the surviving scuba pirate ninjas that were floating at the surface, waiting to be rescued. F10 is a Miss!" It looked like some of the survivors from the aircraft carrier had made it to one of the Destroyers nearby. "I think that might be worthy of a peppermint point actually, Merope, so here, have one. There's absolutely no more survivors at I7 now, guys. They are swimming with the fishes. Hehehehehehehe!" She tossed him a peppermint point. He earned it anyway. Without his tail, they wouldn't have been able to play last night so he was nothing short of a hero.

Also, she would have given him a Peppermint Point for being AMAZING if she could and five more for being a bit of a geek like her with the dice and two on top of that for being cute, and another one for glowing, and maybe six every time he looked at her and a billion if he became her boyfriend. Of course, that wouldn't be fair, and she really wanted to be fair.

She returned back to her game. She really hoped no one would make fun of her for imagining little creatures on her ships. Battles were more fun when there were casualties of war. There were two Destroyers, a Cruiser and of course, the mighty Battleship left lurking in the dangerous waters of the game.

((Anyone that was unable to make it for Round One may still post a guess until the next round starts tonight. I'll try to check this when I throughout the day.))

Jack was a terrible sleeper in his humanoid form, normally, as he usually spent his sleeping moments in his feline form, curled up with his cat army. Due to the train`s effect waining his ability to revert back to his form, he opted to stay awake and watch over the car in an almost guardian like fashion, his eyes illuminating through the darkness, as he waltzed over next to Belladonna and her living pillow and sitting next to them in the walkway, lifting his knees up and clasping his hands behind them. Idly, his tail started thumping to a soft beat that he had in his hands - Jack-damned he wish he had an instrument - which echoed through the quieting car.

As the hours passed, Jack fell into a dream-like trance, his eyes glazing over liken to the zombie, lidded and the glow that they gave off softened a little - like a cat who sleeps with one eye open. It was only when the gnomes came back into the cabin to fix the lights that he awoke from his state, blinking his eyes a few times before looking over to them, listening carefully. "What's this about some kind of Trail Chaser?" he queried out loud, before shaking his head, and looking up to the battleship board. He must have missed a fair bit while he was out, he mused, and cocking his head, he looked at it for a bit of time before nodding his head.

"H1?"

"I don't know," Rain replied though Jack may not have even been speaking to her. "I bet it has to do with the orange bushy tailed thing the professor was looking for. Sounds like trouble. I think we need to buddy up and be on our guard." She glanced down at the game. "H1 is a Miss! Good try though! I'm really glad the lights are back on. Without you and the others, we really would have been in total darkness." And prime candidates for this Trail Chaser to attack, she added silently. She didn't want to alarm anyone. They were certainly safer with the lights on.
