The screams had stopped by now.
Finally, he could go in and check on her condition. Hopefully it had not gone to the point that she wouldn't be able to carry the soul of Ymir anymore. With that, the CNA walked towards Melissa's room. "I'll be out in a bit, sir."

In the mind, one second can be an eternity, tick, tick....... tick. Midnight, and the screams had suddenly stopped, there Melissa floated, hugging her legs amidst a vast darkness, crying because there was an eternity of nothing. Then there were footstops, as if anyone could walk here, or even make noise. She looked up from her knees. There was a recognizeable voice, yet softer than she had ever heard it before. He stood before her with his usual casual posture, like the real Sallea.
"The things I wanted to do most, I couldn't do, but the things I despised, those things I did. It's from some bible verses I read a long time ago. I allowed myself to become a slave to my own worst nature, and I allowed Ymir to control me. I'm sorry, I thought it would be over when I broke the merger. He managed to thrust me aside and get into you before I could die."
Melissa looked at him innocently, "Sallea, are you okay? Are you going to be alright? Where's Ymir, why isn't he tormenting me anymore?"
Sallea frowned, "I'm fine, don't worry about me, I'm going to a better place. Damn, I don't have a lot of time here. Look, you have to stay strong, kay. Help is on the way. You don't have to kick and scream and thrash, I know the pain is intense but you'll only wear yourself out. The best thing to do is focus your mind and ignore any suggestion that comes into your head that isn't your own. When the pain comes, clench your teeth and tough it out, you'll last longer, kay. Hold out as long as you can, help is on the way."
"What's going to happen me?"
"You're going to take control of this thing, trust me. As much as I hate to admit it. You're a better person than I ever was, much more than I ever deserved, thanks for putting up with me. I........."
"Sallea, don't........."
It was to late, the vision had faded away into a burst of crystal before vanishing, and she was awake in the hospital room once again. A vision, a halucination, a visitation, there was no telling.
"Sallea," she screamed in her delirium, "Sallea don't go, please stay with me."
Melissa whistled through clenched teeth as intense pain swelled within her forehead. She was pale, dripping wet with persperation, eyes bloodshot, brow furrowed.
This is my body, my mind! I'm never going to merge with you, and I'll die before I let you control it.

And the CNA headed into the room, peekng in.
"Hey there... you okay? I heard talking in here..."
He looked around the room, taking note of everything in it. He did seem to be checking the place out in nonchalant manner, as if nothing here mattered. And indeed, nothing did. Because soon, it would be all over.
Closing the door behind him softly, he headed towards Melissa's bedside and regarded her cautiously. He knew there was nothing to be afraid of, but all the same- she was Ymir's new candidate, as far as he could tell from what was said around the medical wing. So he regarded her cautiously.

Darshendros the Eternal Chaszmyr watched the fat man go, then turned his gaze on the next person who entered the room. Why didn't they all just meet him at once? he wondered. The fat man wasn't the one to go, as Killer Sumo was still enjoying his snack. The dragon was taken into the stomach of the thing Dr. Iskugawa had helped create from the undead slugs. The thing then left the room quietly, on its way to a secret destination. Darshendro the Eternal "Yes, the Dragon is interested in seeing what you have to offer," he replied to the doctor. "Very Good," Dr. Iskugawa said, "Follow."Dr. Iskugawa would lead with the preacher at side, still chained to his leg. Chaszmyr would be expected to follow behind, with Killer Sumo, who had taken a full 80 ounce bucket of fried tofu dogs for a snack, at his back. He would have to suffer listening to his lips smack as he took healthy bites from the dogs. Behind KillerSumo, General Bakkar suffered himself to follow and find out what this was all about. There was a long hall, three security checkpoints were passed without so much as a cursory glance from the guards. Each checkpoint representing a higher level of security. An elevator was accessed with Dr. Ishkugawa's hand print and iris scan. It continued downwards at high speeds to level 11B, and there was a wide hall with a tram in the center. They boarded the tram, passing the C level research labs. C12, C5, C2, all the way into the interior, the center of the megolith complex which was over six kilometers in diameter. On the next elevator, Dr Iskugawa gave his authorization to go below the B and A level labs, directly to the AAA Leviathan Support Construction Lab 30 levels underground. They would find themselves in a short hall with another authorization hatch, once it opened they would walk onto a wide cat walk through the center of a cavernous industrial complex, the ceiling of which was twenty meters above them, the floor of which was twenty meters below. It was a circular structure with a slightly domed ceiling support by multiple heavy support beams. There were work areas everywhere, built upon buildings within the building, an entire section of the garage was devoted to the testing of steam turbine engines. There were tracked tanker vehicles resembling the rock crawlers used on the mythril mountains parked below. On a man-made obstacle course, one of the tankers actually crawled over rough terrian using their centipede like legs, carrying liquid loads at angles of up to 78 degrees. There were stacks to the ceiling of odd looking stainless steel rails, each rail beam conected by triangular metal slats pointing upwards into a obtuse triangle welded to the rail. There were numerous walks that led to hatchs labeled with the standard warning for radiation hazards from uranium storage. Assemblies were moving newly constructed turrets, computer systems, automated turrets combining mortars and 12.7mm machine guns, and even miniature nuclear reactors. Huge artilary cannons, 275 and 325mm, were hanging from the ceiling by heavy chains, a wench system of sorts. There were openings in the edges of the walls down, presumably the direction in which the cannon's would go to be assembled. "This is where the seperate componants for the Leviathan's are assembled. Munitions are stored in separate facilities to prevent an accident," Dr. Iskugawa said, "We so keep a small stock here for emergencies, however."They continued across the walk until they came to an open steel platform with gaurd rails from which most of the production could be veiwed. "The hell......." General Bakkar muttered as the preacher stared dumb struck. Killer Sumo continued sucking down tofu dogs. "Well gentlemen," Dr. Iskugawa asked, "Any questions so far."

If he ventured close enough he would see that she was clenching her teeth at the moment, but no longer struggling against the restraints. The perspiration soaked cloth straight jacket bound her arms and legs as the tainted I.V. dripped slowly into her blood stream. There wasn't much else she could do, besides continue the struggle mentally. "Mark! Maaaaaaaaark!" she yelled, "Why did you leave me again? I can't fight him alone. Please come back."

((The following post is assuming that she didn't yell that in her head.))
He frowned and said, "Mark..."
He grunted as he remembered. "Colonel Mark Sallea... You're her, all right."
Wait, how did he know his name? And why was he reaching over to pull out her IV? As he did so, he looked over to her and placed a finger over his lips. From one of his pockets, he withdrew a velvet box with a diamond earring stud in it. She'd better hope she had her ears pierced before...
"This might hurt a bit," he whispered softly, "But I can see that you're already in pain. Shouldn't be but a pin p***k on your left ear. Don't worry," he continued with a smile. "I'm one of the good guys."

Hugin From one of his pockets, he withdrew a velvet box with a diamond earring stud in it. She'd better hope she had her ears pierced before... Ouch, her ear lobes had healed shut during the temple incident that had made her twenty years younger. It was as if they had never been touched by a piercing impliment. No problem though, the pain radiating throughout her system would make the piercing seem like a pleasantry, and she would simply continue clenching her teeth hard enough to make her jaw sore. Hugin "I'm one of the good guys." She couldn't stop clenching her teeth, but there was deep breath through her nose, then a nod, as if to say, Thank God.

He nodded back and said in a whisper as he secured the earring, "I can't reveal my position just yet... but don't lose this earring. Never lose it. Pretend it's an extention of your own body. Because in that diamond stud is a mircotransmitter that is now hooked to your biological signature- that's why I had to do that directly; to get your blood on the piercing."
He smiled again and said, "There's also a nano-wired radio mixed in there- you're the only one that can hear it. It's only one-way, though. There's someone who I work for that misses you. I'm sure you know who it is, so I'm not telling."

She nodded. Hugin There's someone who I work for that misses you. I'm sure you know who it is, so I'm not telling." She sighed, resisting clenching her teeth so she could smile back just a little, it took effort to do that through the pain. As she was tied down, there was nothing she could do about her tears besides tilt her head a little and let them fall on the damp pillow.

He nodded, and his heart went out to her. It wasn't a wonder why his employer had a thing for children- they had no faults. This had happened without provocation, he suspected... she had simply been forced to become the next physical avatar of a mad god.
This would end soon, though- he was sure of it.
"I know it hurts... this'll end soon. I hear from certain sources that there's an army outside of these walls- You have to be extracted either before or during the attack. I can't guarantee you'll be around for afte... so we have to act fast."
He looked around and said, "I gotta get out of here and inform him of the mssion sucess. Don't worry- he'll be here sooner than you think. The boss is a pretty punctual man when it comes to something he cares for."
With that, he stood and began casually walking out, making it look as if he hadn't done a thing. With a final turn of his head, he nodded again. As he made his way back to the nurse's station, he was still wearing his gloves.
"Hey, she's all right now. Looks like it's calmed down."
His manager nodded and said, "All right. Hey, you look beat... you need to get you some rest. Why don't you just take the rest of the night off- it's not like Yaits is in charge now anyways."
The man nodded and smiled. "Thanks. It's a relief."
With that, he headed towards the bathroom and changed clothes, making sure to bring the latex gloves and the scrubs with him. After all, he didn't want to leave any... traces of his coming. After getting changed and saying his farewells, he simply walked out of the front doors. He had the security clearances and was not armed to the teeth- hell, he wasn't even armed at all. In fact, no one knew who he was... that was, when he had first gotten here.
Which is how he had gotten past in the first place.
You see, this man with blond hair and vivd green eyes had been sent here long ago to infiltrate the building, and thus had successfully erased any ties he had to his employer, military or otherwise. That said, he headed back to the hotel that he was staying at, making sure the communications lines, internet and otherwise, were properly secured and "walled off".
He then turned on a two way video feed, introducing a third party into the mix- a dark-skinned woman who seemed to be nice and cozy inside a hummer that was located in the Barthavos region.
As soon as it had happened, a dark-skinned man with purple eyes popped on the screen, his hands steepled in front of his face.
"Report, both of you."
The woman started first...
"Looks like there's one hell of an army out tonight," she said as she drove back to Durem via the available stone path. "A force of undead as far as I could tell. Buncha necromancers with them too- seemed that they were geting ready for a large-scale invasion of Yaits City."
The man nodded. "Looks like his allies are quite pissed off at him for that little defeat at Lament. We can use this to our advantage. Marc, what have you got?"
The blonde nodded and said, "I found what you were so tirelessly looking for. Activate the Obsidian Wing satellite and you'll be able to pinpoint her location via GPS, no problem. Not to mention that the radio feed is working quite well- no one else can hear her and it's only one way. I trust you'll be coming for her yourself then?"
The man on the screen nodded. "Certainly. Good work- I'll take it from here. Carmen, clear out of the Barthavos region, ASAP. Marc, cut your ties with Ymiristan starting tomorrow and return to base. As for me, I'm going to bring her back tonight."
The other two nodded and cut their own feeds. He was coming- no, they were coming. It would be one of the few times that they'd be actually deployed... and frankly, Marc didn't want to be there when it happened. With that, he shut down his laptop, turned out the lights, and headed to bed... wait- one more thing.
He headed out to a remote part of town and threw his "disguise" away. But he didn't just throw it away- he threw it in an incinerator. Duffle bag and all. Because quite frankly, he was glad to be rid of the thing. And besides, fire was the best way to eliminate any evidence.

"I Choose Noise" H y b r i d
~10,000 ft. above Yaits City~
A black unmarked MC-130 Combat Talon, unseen against the night sky, began its entry into Ymiristani airspace. High above any sort of cloud cover, the aircraft was unseen and unheard. The sky might as well have been empty.
Not for long, though. Because as it passed over the tower that was the Yaits Corpoation headquarters, the bay doors opened, revealing twelve men and women in black and grey camouflage. Wearing oxygen masks so that they could actually breathe while they were making their entrance, they prepared to exit the aircraft.
One of them turned and adressed them all one last time.
"Remember-" he shouted. "We are only here for one person, and one person only. It is assumed that the GPS tracer that was placed on her is still on her- if not, we're going to have to make do with her last known coordinates and look from there. Stay silent and stay out of sight. All teams are to exit and head towards the extraction point once the call is given to do so."
They all nodded and he took one last look around. "This will most likely be easy enough, but don't slack off- this is their house and we're only guests. Let's make sure we leave everything as it was when we came in."
With that, he turned and got ready.
"We're above the target building, ladies and gentlemen," the pilot announced. "It's fly or die time."
The man leading them nodded and said, "The second one is not an option, is it?"
They all said at the same time, "No, Sir!"
With that, and a slight smile hidden behind the mask, he pressed a button on his watch along with the rest of the unit... and they vanished into thin air, or so it would seem. With that, they jumped.

Below would be Yaits corporate HQ, a two story high pentagon shaped building. Not an extremely high building, but it didn't need to be, as it was sprawled out almost three square kilometers of flatened bedrock. The building was flat, a landscape unto itself. This was more than a corporate HQ, it was a fortress the likes of which the world had never seen. It was amazing the Gaian government approved the construction in the first place. Quote: In the center of Yaits City is a massive pentagon, only two stories high, yet over two kilometers in diameter from east to west and north to south. This corporate headquaters is the main office, technical lab, and fortress of the Yait's corporation. The outer wall of the structure is four meters thick, with three layes of protection built into it. The first layer underneith the cement is rust-proofed steel coated with titanium and laced with depleted uranium, the second is refined adamantine, and the the third is orichalum. The outer walls of the building are built to survive even a massive nuclear assault. Inside, the functionality of the building is layered via concentric rings starting from the core of the structure, each ring being separated securely from the others. The very outer ring holds the various company offices such as public relations, marketing, accounting, purchasing, record keeping, and the conference rooms for meetings and such. The next ring is the research and develepment for pharmaceuticals. medicine, and biotechnology. The third ring holds the substations that control the buildings air-defense systems, it is also a training hall for the newly instituted Yaits Security force, which aims to help the police keep law and order in the new city. The fourth ring is actually a manufacturing & testing center, where the new company is finally dabbling in the R&D of weapons for police and military use. Unlike the pentagon, the building has no courtyard, instead, there is the core. It is by far the most protected portion of Yait's Corporation headquaters.
Here is the central office of Yaits himself, surrounding him is the security control for the entire building. Then there are the sub levels, underneith the outer portion of the building, they are merely parking garages, but under the interior is a manufacturing center prepared to produce en mass any weapon that Yaits Corporation research develops. From the R.I. infiltrater's reports, they would already know that Melissa Faulkner's private room was in the fourth ring, under constant surveillance, the area around her room heavily was gaurded by elite soldiers who had been the body guard of Yaits himself. That there was an automated sentry system that recognized the DNA laser scans of HQ employees and attacked only hostiles when activated. The intruder detection system scanned the halls, these weren't just security camera's, but heat sensors and audio scanners monitered by personel in twelve seperate sections of the building to create intentional overlap of duties. The ceiling of the squat, wide pentagon was covered with small radar towers, constantly sending signals into the sky in search of hostile aircraft, once they flew over the building, as stealthy as the lonely bird was and as high as the bird was, it was only a matter of time before someone down there figured out something was up there. They'd have to work fast.

((You would think I didn't expect radar. Why do you think I picked the Combat Talon for an aircraft?)) Stealthy wasn't the half of it. There was something about the MC-130 that was quite interesting- the bird was equipped with a series of onboard electronic countermeasures for this kind of stipulation. That said, the radars would get zip... even from 10,000 feet in the air the ECMs were effective in overpowering the signals from the radar towers. That said, the team was also covered from the signals sent out to track them.
And soon, in less time than one would expect, the team landed on top of the pentagon, opening their parachutes and ditching them from about five feet in the air before contact. They hit the ground running, staying low and looking for an opening in the ceiling. The GPS signal resonated with that of the watches, causing them to pulse slightly in intervals. The closer together the pulses were, the closer they were to their objective.

The jump was the easy part.
The cement was trenched at regular intervals, each trench was two centimeters deep, about a meter wide, and ran the length of the building. Multiple radar and communications towers were arrayed along trenches, some glowing red in the cloudy night sky. Their metal super structures tall enough to drive a truck through. There were disguised metal hatches blending with the buildings structure, slammed shut with clenched teeth, almost everywhere along the ceiling, but especially towards the interior.
There were no skylights except at the extreme edges of the building, where the reception halls and lobies could be found.
Most of the ventilation shafts were at the sides of the building, at ground level, but there were a few well disguised shafts around ring one, or, they could go for the hole, a heavy ventilation shaft towards the center of the building, exiting ring three. It was divided into intake and extake shafts, disguised by a swiss cement ceiling, grated shut, and was known to be laced with some of the tightest security in the building.
They would have to be careful how they tread, as the cement was laced with pressure sensitive devices capable of detecting the normal pattern of a heavy human footfall, and became ten times more sensitive around the air duct openings, the radar, and the silos. At the secured spots, exact pressure readings and imprint graphs would be sent to the security station. If any alarm sounded, the traps and sentry systems would immediatly activate, and as no one was authorized to be up there tonight, there would be a million ways in which to be detected. Careful.

And of course, the easiest way would be the most heavily guarded, wouldn't it? And the missile silos, seeing as that was exactly what they were, weren't ways in at all. That said, the skylight would have to do.
They did indeed tread lightly, though treading lightly did not mean treading slowly. They ran on the balls of their feet, moving with a speed that seemed as if they were posessed. It wouldn't do to stay in one place for more than what was necessary, which was not much. That said, speed was of the essence, as well as silence.
They deftly leapt over one trench after another, staying in a loose yet organized formation as they did so. The metal hatches were a different story, but it was easier to tell what was what than one would think. Soon, the duct entrance from the third ring was seen, but it was seen to be a bit too heavily secured. Moving around it, they searched for other points of egress.
One of the team members noticed the shafts around the first ring and nodded briefly towards it. Five others followed suit and simply headed in via the usual method- it would take quite a while to open the thing quietly, so one of them kicked it open, sliding through. They broke formation and followed, one of them being Lieutenant Andrews. The rest followed Evan as they headed towards one of the skylights. There was no time to think- only time to act.
Seeing as there were no visible openings or latches, there was only one possible way in- breaking through. And they did so with a leap into the air and a downwards thrust of their boots on impact. A crash and the sound of falling glass was heard in one of the reception areas as Alpha team fell through, landing on their toes with knees bent. They quickly raised their weapons and looked down the sights, checking for targets.
