"Here, I got him..." Van said picking Rincewind up and moving him to his back, piggy-back style.

"Thanks; I owe you one." Mala said, slowing down her pace a little more so that she could rest a little more for the moment. Well, at least she had caught her breath a few moments prior to her previous statement.

Ceri opened her door wide. "I don't see how you could think I was harboring a fugitive, Sir....I can only think of that poor boyo you tried to hang...I just got him out of noose with a friend of mine...She took him from my house just as I returned home...I told her to leave, and not to come back," she said, rubbing her neck as if there was a crick in it. She knew that they wouldn't find the tunnel-she had rigged it to shut behind anyone who went in. It was also sound proof. She yawned greatly. "Go ahead."

Rincewind immediately felt the blood in his body flow to his other extremities, rather than just his head. He sighed in relief, and tightened his grip. "Sorry." Rincewind apologized, without even really being sure what he was apologizing for.
"Well, miss. I apologize for the trouble," the head of the crowd said, rather flustered. He was pulled back and replaced with a taller man, who pushed Ceri aside and began to investigate the house.

"Stop apologizing, kid, people like that get on my nerves." Van said simply as he carried Rincewind. "Besides, this hardly anything new for me. Hell, this feels remarkably like deja vu, just from a different perspective."

{Okay, see you later Zelly!}
"Didn't I carry you around alot back when you were still stuck in Riley's body?" Mala mentioned, thinking back for a moment. "My, I feel like I've changed so much since then! Like I'm somehow a little younger than before. Strange, isn't it?" she asked with a chuckle. Part of why she wasn't nearly as stiff-minded as before was likely due to the new freedoms she had recently obtained.

Ceri smiled a little bit. "Would you like a grand tour before you rip my house to shreds?" she asked hospitably. She started to take down her hair and rebraid it to look nice. "Before you ask, I put the pot on the fire for tonight....I always make extra in case someone comes calling." After wandering the country for three years, Ceri had become the Mistress of Lieing, Trickery, and Deception. Not that she was proud of it, of course.

"Oh?" the tall man asked, his eyebrows raised. "And what do you do with what's left over if no-one comes calling?"

"I save it for later of course! Why waste food!" Ceri said. She smiled. She crossed her arms and yawned. "How long will this take?" she asked, slightly annoyed.

"Well, it seems to me that the food might rot, after more than a day, and even after a few hours. How do you preserve it?" The tall man paused. "No, wait. More importantly, which way did you send the fugitive and accomplices?"

"I sent them west through my woods....I figured they could get a ways away before you found them," Ceri said, shrugging. She looked towards where she was "sending" her friends.

In a forest away from the mob, Zakaria was dressing himself after taking a small bath in an abandoned house that he found. He made sure to block the view so no one would be able to look in on him and discover his secret. "It sure is tough being a god these days," he said to Amelia.
"It certainly is, my Pooky Bear," Amelia responded as she hugged Zak. She adored him and thought him cute.
Zakaria poked Amelia's nose as a joke and hugged her back. "Psst, I have a secret," he whispered into her ear as if he were her lover.
"What is it?" she asked, smiling and rubbing her face in his chest.
"You're it!" he said and ran away and hid from her.
