Kaon listened to his story with a sort of mild attentiveness as she was trying to concentrate on her training. Once he was finished she gathered that the whole shpeal came down to the fact that killing your target wasnt always the best path which to her nothing could be more wrong. If you didnt kill your target you failed and failure was something she would never accept. She turned to Mashi and said," Sensei can you help me with some of my genjutsu please ? It would be much better experience if I learned to use it on someone else."

Koans smiled and said," I would be honored if we spared. Though I ask that we wait until I perfect this jutsu before we begin." She distanced herself from Mashi and formed a single seal as a clone of herself formed in front of her. The clone pulled out a kunai from its belt before charging Mashi.

Masahiro smirked and with a quick jet of chakra he darted back, sliding on the heels of his feet as he laid a hand on the back of his Sakabato, eyes drawing near closed as he inspected her and her clone, attempting to focus out on exactly which she would be attacking with. Just as the second version of her, the clone, came charging at him he drew up his blade, utilizing the first technique of Tetsu no Ryu: Iaido, seeking to disable the clone. Going through the motions of the form he would begin training for the last technique of the art.

Koans smile remained as she watched the clone go flying back landing on its back. The clones body writhed and split into two separate clones before getting back up and charging at him once more. Under the cover of the clones Koan formed another seal and directed her chakra into Mashi's ears. Soon after his hearing would be overloaded with static. Taking up a relaxed yet ready stance she waited for his counter attack.

How intriguing, he thought to himself, slowly attempting to adjust for the sound of the static in his ears. Though as the sound only continued to advance though his mind he focused all of his other senses on the combat spread before him.

As the twin clones drove in on him the jounin only gave a smile and drove the tip of his sword underneath the blade of the first to arrive's kunai, twisting the blades around each other as the momentum of the clone brought it forward. As it continued on this forward course he shove it off one side with the palm of his hand, immediately sheathing his blade as he did so. Tetsu no Ryu: A Decade of Peace.
Though as the second clone dove in on him Masahiro pivoted on his foot, following the exerted force he had placed on the first clone and drew his left hand back to his chest, forcing a handsign for the substitution jutsu, replacing himself with a nearby branch, now standing in a tree above the battlefield he peered down on her and her clones.

Koans expression softened a bit as she studied Mashiro and his abilities. True to his word he fell right into bukijutsu though the style was unknown to her. Though it mattered little as the cloud clones fell once more she pumped them with chakra once more causing them to writhe again splitting off into a total of four clones. The clones gathered around her in a diamond formation as she waited for him to come back out of hiding.

A very impressive jutsu to be sure, but still one that could be overcome with a little time and forethought. He inspected the group of them, each one assuming a defensive pose around the one in the center who was, herself, scanning the battlefield for any sight of him. His mind knew this was an act that would not take too much longer if he just stood in place, so once more he jumped from the tree limb over to another, landing with one hand down on the branch while the other drew into a handsign, thrusting forwards at her, a bolt of white lightning careening from the trees down towards it's intended victim. Even as she searched for him she couldnt find him though he chose to reveal himself on his own blasting a stream of lightning at her. Though she wasnt concerned to terribly much about it as the clone in front of her took the full brunt of the attack as she had intended for having them gather around her. The other two quickly moved to place themselves between the wood line where mashi was and Koan as she once more pumped the fallen clone with chakra causing it to split into another leaving a total of four clones. That attack was a medium range raiton ninjutsu, so he did have ranged jutsu, she had assumed such but didnt want to base any type of strategy on assumptions. As it stood her choice of offense was severely limited with him hidden in the bushes. Though upon a quick formulation of a plan she severed the flow of her chakra to Mashi's ears ending the static only for her to release a sharp piercing whistle from her lips as she formed another seal using the sound as her method of attack. Once the jutsu took effect his ability to perceive depth would be thrown into total chaos.

‡ Chakra :430/460 ‡ Stamina :430/440 ‡ Masahiro felt the sudden change of his own depth perception, shaking his head a time or two he realized it wasn't something he could shake, and therefore was more than likely a genjutsu utilized by his genin student. Instead of continuing to try and fight his student at this vantage point, and giving her the prize of seeing him stumble and fall over his own movements, Masahiro dropped from the treeline within sight of his apprenticed student and immediately began casting handsigns, then casting his hands out to either side a slight glimmer of white chakra could be seen dissolving away from him as he did so. His eyes narrowed as he tried to compensate as well as he could for the distortion to his senses, but with little avail he awaited what would be coming next.

Her teacher exclaimed, his hands then racing towards the ground, making several handsigns on their way down. He would however, keep the chakra in reserve, waiting to see just what happened in the next few moments.
"Your move." Masahiro whispered, closing his eyes and kneeling his head down, hands clasped, index and middle fingers pointed downwards towards the earth.

A projectile tore through the outer defense, directly towards him. Taking what reserve he had Masahiro rolled directly to the right, adjusting himself in the direction from which the weapon had come, attempting to clear himself of it entirely while retaining a sense of where he lay inside of the dome. The jounin, instead of extending his arms to cast the originally planned jutsu he opened his eyes and cast them forwards, herself and her guards stood resolute in their place and he was forced to compensate as he nearly stumbled while coming back to his footing.

The jutsu that he had intended to cast would now be forsaken as he instead cast a further directed version of the first, threading it all around the forest around them, centric on them and the immediately outlying area. He let his eyes close once more, using the deprivation of the eyesight to bolster what remained of his hearing through the affecting Genjutsu. Once more, following the laying of more threads the jounin formed the appropriate hand signals and cast his hands towards the ground, holding them a brief moment away from the ground.
"You're impressive, but do you know what I know Koan?" He asked her, intentionally calling out to her by her first name alone, no honorific, no title, no mention of her ancestry or clan, enough to unsettle most men and women of aristocracy.

Koans smile disappeared as he spoke her name and only her first name. She was not some peasant how dare he call her by her first name. Though she knew she had to stay calm as much as possible. As much as she hated the brief display of arrogant insolence she couldnt deal with it now, right now she needed to focus. He had dodged her attack while under the effects of her genjutsu. Which meant one of two things. Either he had another way of seeing the things around him or he had a defense up.Wait that shimmer from before, that had to be it. The jutsu he was using meant that he would be able to tell the real koan from the clones if she sent them in. A stalemate. She laughed and said," I know we have reached a stalemate. I dont exactly know what it is but I know you have some type of net around you and I know you wont advance, neither will I. Hence the stalemate."

As he did so he split his hands, one making the handsign of tiger. As he did so an array of clones took form around him, four clones to match hers, their forms taking a view of the defensive around him. He was imitating her now, as if to mock her as the guardians took the exact stance of hers. The match had quickly drawn her to believing they had come to a stalemate, yet in fact they were far from it. His eyes closed entirely as he reached down and grabbed a handful of dirt, twisting it over in his hands, watching as it began to move away in a circular pattern in the wind, his hand now held in the horse handsign.

As he did so an orb came into creation somewhere behind the kunoichi and her guardians, focusing on them before finally a sizzle of white lightning built up and discharged off of her jounin instructor.
"I know what you've done to me, Koan. I know who you are, Uchiha Koan. And I know you will never live up to the legacy he set you to follow, Uchiha Koan." The man chided as his Chakra aura pulsed once more.
"You may distort my senses, but I see you as plain as day." He intoned, his hands forcing down into the ground, his form flickering for just a brief moment as he did so, the white aura phased away.
