Nova rumbled when Daichi directed her to Bast's other side, but went without actual complaint. Kaori took up a spot to the left and slightly behind Bast and Nova. She had several flowering plants tied into her braid, and in her terrarium on her back, ready in case she needed to use her family jutsu at a moment's notice. Nova was also prepared, eyes sharp and focused, as where her ears, on the lookout for any danger. Both tiger and tamer remained silent throughout the journey.

Bastion walked along side Theodin, it was rather hard walking through the trudging sands when he could hardly see his feet or where he was stepping. Thankfully the sands were rather smooth, or this might have been allot harder for him. He didn't see too much around them, just a bit of sand, and all of the auras around him of his team. He noticed the pink aura bump into the aura he knew to be Bast and he looked back at them, he couldn't really see either of them, but he knew their general direction. "If there's anything weighing on your mind, I can always help with that." Bastion said still looking through the sands for any new auras. He could see quite a bit out, there would be absolutely no one sneaking up on them. He may as well use this time to get to know his teammates a little, but not talk too much. They should probably stay quiet, he probably shouldn't talk at all. But it shouldn't be too bad if he broke the ice slightly, the air was so tense, and there wasn't any reason to attempt to make it slightly better.

Bast adjusted her gait ever so slightly to compensate for the minor collision, then brushed off the apology.
"Happens to everyone," she told Aika, "but do pay attention. It won't do to wander in the middle of a mission."
The border with the Fire Country was in sight on the horizon; Bast doubled her pace when she saw this, following closely by Ayame. Hopefully the border patrol would let them through without much protest, though she would have no right to argue if they didn't, given her own stances on security.

XXXXX Haituro had one thought has he traveled through what seemed to be endless desert. "So much sand.." It was all he could think as he trekked onward toward what he hoped would eventually become Sunagakure. The heat was almost unbearable sweat streaking down his forehead and cheeks. He wiped absently at his forehead as he continued to walk attempting to keep the sweat out of his eyes, because oh god how that burned. Haituro stopped on the top of a particularly large dune to take a swig from his canteen which was attached to his hip when he noticed in the distance a large cliff face. "That must be it." Haituro sighed as he realized how far that cliff face actually was away. "Better to keep moving, I can rest when I get there. I suppose." For a moment a thought crossed his mind. "Am I really going to approach a hidden village with a rogue headband?" Haituro mulled it over for a few moments before removing the headband and tossing it into the sand. The sand quickly swallowed it as a large gust of wind blew over the dune nearly pushing Haituro down the dune as he lost his footing. Once the gust stopped Haituro began the final leg of his journey.

Arriving within the confined of the Lands of Wind Masahiro continued forward, heading towards the village itself. He sighed and raised his hood, to cover both himself and his little white companion as the winds whipped up a strong barrage of sands around them. Stopping only for a brief moment at the black steel barrier erected at the outskirts of the desert he continued onward.

It had been a while since Bast had dashed through the countryside like this, but even so, it felt like she had just made a trip to the Leaf recently. If it wouldn't have been construed as an act of warfare, she would probably have left a summoning seal there the last time she'd been in the area. She took a swig of tea and carried on toward the border.
Continuing alongside the cart, Theo walked silently, thinking about what all San had said, and trying to come up with ideas for what they could do to cause as much trouble as possible for the UHV.
A lone merchant's caravan would approach the Lands of Wind and an odd storm would ride the horizon. The caravaneers thought nothing of it and continued on, only shifting the canopies of their wagons to give them better protection from what they would expect to bring rain. They knew not the lands of Wind, they knew even less of the true storm to come. As they came through the last of the cliffs separating the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind a burst of lightning would strike the road before them, smoldering the ground beneath the feet of their beasts and bringing them to a halt.
Unseen to them were the two men, lashed to the cliff-face who began building up a new charge of chakra. The head of the caravan took a moment to regard the rogue bolt before ushering his people on forwards. Another bolt of lightning struck, this time ripping the back of the furthest wagon asunder. As the people of the caravan reeled to see what had happened another bolt struck the head caravan, torching the connection between the beasts and the cart. The beasts took off towards the desert, the driver murdered in cold blood. The front of the cart had caught fire, just as the one to the rear, leaving the rest of the caravaneers to scramble and attempt to defend themselves. A pair of young children in their midst ran for a crevice in the canyon, under the orders of their father, to remain safe and out from the fray.
It was a massacre. The father fought alongside his friends and brothers to defend their cargo, and as the bandits approached the backed up to the crevice to defend his children. The lieutenant of the bandits approached with a sword drawn and looked beyond the man, broken and abused as he was, to see just what he fought for. Seeing the children beyond the man she lowered her blade.
"This one lives. He fought valiantly and will serve a purpose yet." She said, marshaling her people to return to looting.
"You come for us, I will personally kill your children." She told the man.
When the bandits left the man gathered his children upon the last remaining horse and made haste for Sunagakure no Sato.
