That was BATH SALTS.
C.J. smiled back. "Well, it could be a lot worse." he said, thinking of the inevitable a**-kicking he was about to receive from Batman for borrowing one of his cars. He held her close and then finally got the nerve to speak up.
"Well, I guess before anything else happens . . . I got something to ask you, hon." he asked. He was antsy to say the least. The last few times he tried this, something came up which led him to just miss his chance by this much. Would he make it now?

((I actually got family in Florida, but I'm pretty sure that's not a zombie, that's a crazy moron. Thanks for the Win though!)) C.J. smiled back. That little smile gave him all that he needed to speak up. "Well, I don't know how to really put this without sounding like a yutz, but . . . " he said, trying to think up the right words. And there was no slap. Rather....Misty just stood there and looked up at him with a blush and wide eyes. She was still getting used to the fact that CJ was that close to her when she knew so little about him.
But......he had saved her life multiple times. And he was alright with the whole kids thing...and he could clearly handle himself with super villains.
....and that kiss....
She looked at him for another moment, then smiled warmly up at him. "If you think you can take all the crazy that's usually associated with me....then yes."

It took him since they met at the halloween party and he finally managed to say it without Misty gone to save the world or Dundee's head in the sink!! "I won't letcha down, hon. I promise." he said with a smile. He really did care about her. I guess this means you may be going along with her instead of Arell and Dundee . . . "Or we all go together. How bad could it be? Arell brings Crystal to a lot of adventures. What's one more gonna be? Besides, I'm too happy to be worrying about that right now."

Misty smiled back at him, then leaned up to give him a little kiss. She couldn't lean very far up...not with how her stomach was acting. She wasn't about to try it. But, she did feel that he deserved at least a little kiss.

C.J. met her half way and kissed her back. Things just felt right to him this way . . . the world seemed a million miles away. Just those two.

Well...not just "those two". Misty held that position, enjoying the feeling just as much as CJ was......until a swift pain in her stomach made her jerk again.
"Mnh!.....sorry....I'm assuming the pain's coming from them moving now..." she said with a painful little grin.

C.J. snapped back into reality when she jerked.
"That's alright." he said with a smile. "Any ideas for names for 'em?" he asked. Well, if he was going from acquaintance to boyfriend to surrogate father, sounds like it's one of those things he has to ask!
"Hey, my freaking KID showed up in another guild. If I have to explain to my folks that I became an adventurer, I should at least know who the hell I may be meeting in two months or less!"

Luckily, with the construction going on around the demolished area outside of the buildings they were hiding behind...there wasn't a whole lot of foot traffic going on around them.
Misty looked around, then paused and looked down at her own outfit. Then frowned a bit.

C.J. paused a red hot moment. "Maybe we oughta getcha some clothes, too. Then 'gain, it could be a lo-o-o-ot worse." he said. Trying to find out a good place to pick up some clothes and a bite to eat.
