Hmmm...... interesting. :/
My money was on Oct/Nov for the DA-codex because of the spine image:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-B9C4wmXR5v0/T4pT-gGuxeI/AAAAAAAAMGk/QPXrFIIIeR0/s1600/WD-mystery-2012-april.jpg
4 months now and we still haven´t seen the head,
so my quess is that it´ll maybe take 5-6 months before we see who he is.
Assuming that they would published the DA-codex with the last part of the image. <.<"

I don´t really complain, but it just kinda bugs that they would put that in the
spine for no apparent reason. :-/
Specially considering they never done this before. (To my knowledge atleast...)

Oh well, earlier the better. :3
My angels thirsts for battle once more! >:3

Take these rumours with a grain of salt as always, however I am fairly certain that the Dark Angels will be upon us in June, the 6th in August and the next 40k release around October.

They've been doing that for years. Think of all those price hikes and finecast. XD

Supposedly Beasts of War is having a big flyer unveil tonight for three races: Orks, Necrons and Space Marines. Each faction will get a flyer with multiple options included. Bit sceptical about this all, as this is BoW we're talking about, but we'll see.

edit.

That’s right guys… Tonight’s show is all about the new… wait for it… Space Marine Stormtalon… the Necron Doom & Night Scythes… plus the new Ork Biltza-Bommer, Dakkajet and Burna-Bommer! and we expect these bad boys to hit the shelves, perhaps around June 2nd?

We’ll have a “look” at them in more detail and discuss some of the special rules you might expect for such awesome hardware!

Who would you want to be a Fighter Ace that shoots down enemy skimmers?

What if one could shrug off Melta weapons?

Would you want a flier that turns up and strafes across enemy lines?

We’ll discuss all this and more tonight!

Info can be found in the Necron Codex.

User Image
Ork fighter/bomber: not one but 3 vehicles, maybe 2 kits.

Dakkajet: BS2, AV10, fast skimmer, supersonic, aerial assault, strafing run. (BS3 Vs all except jump and skimmers) Fighter ace upgrade gives BS3 against everything. During Waaaghh may get to fire twice? 3x TL A2 dakkaguns.

Burna-bomma: BS2, AV10, same rules as jet, burna bomb - essentially scorcha dropped during movement that ignores cover. Also has grot gunner.

User Image
Space Marine Stormtalon gunship - 130 pts!
Not a troop carrier, BS4, AV11, fast skimmer, supersonic, aerial assault, TLAC/TLHB as standard, TLHBs swapout for lascannons/typhoons. Skyhammer missile launchers, S7, AP4, H3 60". Ceramite plating, deep strike. Special rule - escort craft - attach to deep striking/reserve unit and will turn up 6" away. Hover-strike - can turn into a skimmer for a turn, can't move but gets +1 BS.

I'm not sure I believe these. XD The Necron one looks a bit silly, and they don't tend to put lascannons on SM flyiers or hoverers.
PostPosted: Fri May 04, 2012 2:28 pm

neutral SM Flyer looks alright......
Would drop the double las-cannons and make it into sort of "Land Speeder in space"-craft. <.<
Or give it wings to put them underneath.

The Necron flyer looks much like it does in the Necron codex, so no issues there. The Ork flyer is fine, but I don't see why they didn't just name it Fighta-Bomma. Please PLEASE tell me that the Storm Talon is a hoax. It looks Terrible!
PostPosted: Sat May 05, 2012 12:56 am

The Necron flyer is a complete (and crude) copy / trace of the codex art. The other two model drawings however cannot be traced to any existing source that we know of. I have been told that Beasts of War has done this thing before with the Necron release wave that is releasing today (!) and that they were spot on, minor details aside.

Sorry to say folks, but these could very well be the genuine article. Mark those calendars, because next month we will be getting three new flyer kits, two of which have multiple options: the Necron kit (2 options) and the Ork kit (3 options) while the Astartes kit will just have one option, but with enough weapon options to make the other choices look woefully inadequate.

To put a more positive spin on the Storm Talon, at least now we can have a stand-in Vulture that is affordable and not bent in all dimensions by faulty casting processes. It also certainly looks sci-fi enough to be used as scenery or an objective for other games such as Infinity, Rogue Trader and the likes.

From Blood of Kittens, who seemingly finally recovered from an attack on his site by GW (read: lies)

BoK
OMG finally finally my poor little site is fixed thanks for the patience everyone! So anyway it looks like I started some rumor spilling last week as everyone in the rumor mill decided to jump in the game. I hope what I am about to post is not already outdated, but with life and the server repair I haven’t have time to keep up.

Ok, let us get ready for some fun guys 6th is about two months away so let us set up some ground rules first off.

That leaked 6th edition pdf was and is still a complete fabrication.

40k 6th edition is going to be much closer to Fantasy 8th and 40k 2nd edition than anything else.

GW still has rumor lock down in place, so these leaks are for the most part things that have been seen before from previous editions of Games Workshop games. This is to protect sources from the long arm of GW.

Ok, with that said lets get to it.

Let us start with 6th edition fluff progression.

The Imperium is fracturing and the Space Marines are starting to separate themselves from the Lords of Terra. The heretical and xenophobia has gotten to a tipping point causing many chapters to take actions against the “best wishes” of many in the Imperium.

A discovery of galactic importance has happened.

At a time before right before the Horus Heresy the Emperor had intrusted Roboute Guilliman in the protection of one Xenos race that was completely immune the temptations of Chaos and would prove the ultimate key to the destruction of Chaos. The Horus Heresy ended such plans. Fast forward today with discovery of these lost correspondences, it is believed by the Ultramarines and others that the Tau are that lost race. So now instead of being charge with their destruction the Astartes are the Tau protectors.

Rules changes
•Every unit gets a 6+ save vs. all Psychic Powers.
•Random Charge Lengths are in
•Pre-measuring is in.
•Random Battle field effects are in.
•All armies can purchase buildings for placement on the battlefield.
•Psychic powers are selected during deployment. (except Grey Knights)
•Deployment and Missions types have doubled.

Get ready for the Big one..

ALLIES ARE BACK IN

That is right allies are back in and this will be according to fluff and will have certain restrictions. So for instance Tyranids will not have any allies. Tau with all Space Marine Chapters. Necrons with Blood Angels. Imperial Guard with Space Marines. Chaos Space Marines with Demons. If it fits the fluff it will be done.

This is just to get you guys started.

Expect more to come out as we get closer to the impeding release of Warhammer 40k 6th edition.

Oh again forgot to mention in the CSM rumor post to add that Oblit options will be even more expansive with close combat load out available.

Utter rubbish, that's all I have to say about the fluff claims.

My thoughts, once again.

Also, Stormtalon looks like a retarded helicopter. Needs more missile rackets. S'all I'm gonna say bout that.
